I subbed after the Honest Peyton SS live with you. Great to see the vets in the shop and the videos. Love Fords, always have. That IRS looks sweet in the back of that old trick. Love to see simple kits that allow the average guy with average skills to be able to install up-to-date components on old cars and trucks like this. Look forward to seeing the front end come together. Be safe and stay well.
Great video! This is one of the most informative videos I've come across on doing the S550 IRS swap. I do want to point out that the 3.15 gear ratio internals are not compatible than the 3.31 and lower ones. If someone is wanting to upgrade the internals at a later date most of the performance parts do not work in the 3.15. The pinion head, ring gear and differential are different between the 3.15 and the rest of the super 8.8 differentials. The 3.15 isn't a bad setup, especially for fuel economy, but it's worth the extra up front money to get the 3.31 or lower differentials if you plan to upgrade down the line.
Just did Range Ind. brackets today on 1963 F100 frame. Nice brackets but bottom flange of front brackets hung 1/8 inch below bottom of frame. Had to slot existing holes on frame for old shock mounts to allow tightening bracket flush with bottom of frame. Upper old shock mount hole on frame did not line up at all with bracket and had to be drilled. Subscribed to your channel and looking forward to more episodes of your build.
Got a couple quick questions if you have time. Working on 68 F100 and will be doing the S550 IRS and Crown Vic swap as well. What did you do about the wheel stud difference between the two and what did you cap off the ABS sensor hole on the IRS? Mine didn't come with the sensors.
So I just ordered matching lug nuts but the different sizes. You can swap out the fronts to match the rears but I chose just to do the lug nuts. On this build, I had the sensors so I just cut the wires and let them plug the hole.
@greezyzgurage Thanks, for the reply. I was think I'm gonna do the same with the lugs and you just helped me make the decision. We may try to design a 3D printed sensor block off plate for the S550 IRS.
Great looking build. I'm considering the S550 IRS in my 62 Unibody. Is there any ride height adjustability when using the Grange Industry brackets? Looking forward to seeing the bed on it to see the ride height of Project Murica!
Awesome Video! Im about to start my 66 F100 build and was contemplating weather or not to install the crown vic front clip. Ive heard that there are some clearance issues with the turning radius. Also is the Mustang rear end SS550 the same width as the CV front clip. Can you please tell me if its worth doing the CV front and what will be the cons of it. Love your channel!!
Understand when I started on this truck, the Crown Vic was already installed. If I was going to build a truck again, I would do one of two things I would install the Crown Vic and use the 1 inch shorter arms from OutKast auto works or I would put a Mustang two front style under it, I do not have an issue with turning radius, especially if you put the S550 rack and pinion on it.
The only con of the crown Vic swap if you leave the stock, a arms is wheel selection. Unless you do a custom wheel, you are very limited on what you can do without a lot of fabrication work.
@@67fairlane12 I have no experience with the shorter control arm kits for the CV but there are several options for this and if I were to do another CV swap, I would be looking into these. Fatman, Team321 and several other offer them. I thought Outcast did but I don't see them on their website.
I’d just like to add on the wheel selection PP1 or PP2 mustang rims should work awesome and you can also change the wheel studs in your Crown Victoria front end to match your rear mustang with a drill and 10 new 14 mm studs
Thank you for your service!
Thanks!

Nice show buddy!
I appreciate your support! It means a lot.
