Agreed as much as I like the balance council, it would have been cool if they just said “okay after a while we’re going to take all your rework suggestions and implement a bunch of them”, as long as there aren’t new mechanics being introduced it surely can’t be that difficult to change
Yeah that would've been great. One thing I really wish we had was just armor and ability damage modification. Blue Mountain Elite for example would be a lot more interesting if it could do 4 to the only unit on its row.
@@tomrowell1558 I spent tons of money to this game and been playing for 5 years I think they owe us that much. It’s not really a big deal to change the value of simple mechanics like damage done etc. They should modify balance council to make us be able to vote for more sophisticated changes
I kinda like to play with weak cards and out of meta decks. I am really enjoying the full traps deck or the elf swarm one. Something about me being in the 1% of players that play that deck makes me feel special =))
I played since the three rows mode as I was already a big fan of the Witcher universe. Still reading the books, they actually made me came back to the world of reading in general. Had a pause in between the toad expansion and Uroboros with little bits in rhe middle. I loved the game and at that time I experimented with creating thematic decks without caring too much for the meta or efficiency. Playing competitively was totally secondary to playing making the best of what I allowed me to have in a deck. I returned two months or so ago. Made it to Pro with basically just harmony and Alumni Mages. Now I'm trying the "card gamer" approach and I must say I very much like it. I think I enjoy this game even more knowing there is not another bunch of cards and more importantly balancing to come in the next period except for the balance council stuff which is not great as a system yet not the worst thing to have in a situation like this. I hope they never shut down the servers but it's a faint hope. Those guys at CDPR made great and bad things but i owe them the only card game that I would play for eternity. Anyway, thanks for the tierlist videos, I discovered you with those, really useful comments. Thank god internet can find me good content for everything, even "dead" games. Now I find the most fun in trying to make the more thematic decks or underutilized cards into the competitive decks. I wouldn't be too concerned with the servers shutting down for a long time. The most similar other example I can think of is the Elder Scrolls Legends card game (also big IP, also had a bunch of support, similar playerbase size, etc). It recieved its last support 5 years ago and doesn't have a balance council and it's not getting shut down anytime soon. I suspect CDPR also gets enough money from purchases to afford the servers without too much difficulty as long as they aren't paying a dev team.
Haha, such a funny mistake, Scoia'tael doesn't have any weak cards. ;]]]]]]]] But for real, I generally agree with your placements, although I'd put one position higher such cards as Sorceress, Cat witcher and this magic orb. On the other hand, I think that Dol Blathanna Bowman belongs to "Okay".
I never noticed how much trash bronzes scoiatael has. I thought NG has some of the underwhelming bronzes in the game, but man, ST takes the cake Shame, because most of it can be redesign to suit "modern" deck
It sucks when you have ideas to rework a lot of the crappy cards but the only thing that's ever gonna change is the power and the provision cost :/

I think it's less obvious in ST because you do see them made off of Bountiful Harvest and Backup Plans.
