I’ve made shaker bookmarks for my class, but they keep splitting. Any ideas why this happens? Thanks

      Hi Cheryl!
I too have had projects fall apart and it's so frustrating! I've had experience with splitting when I don't use a soft surface and I push too hard. The heat and level of pressure are important factors in plastic manipulation. The first time I tried fusing I did it on my metal stamping board and the plastic fell apart when it cooled. A heat-proof silicone mat certainly helps.
Here are 3 things I think help plastic stay fused: 1) Using the actual fusing paper from WRMK, 2) I use a gentle pressure when rolling the fuse nib through the plastic, and 3) I roll slowly and steady.
      I hope this helps!
