The spells are like intersections where two items are connected so you can choose what item to buy, instead of being required to buy an item you dont want just to get the item you do want. Though yes in some trees they're unnecessary or too much, tgc could at least make them cheaper than 5 candles

I'm so tired of wasting my time grinding for candles only to pay for "blessings" to unlock a reward. The tree system already kind bums me out, bc I don't care for furniture and I'd love to be able to just pick and choose, but I get they need to keep players active. I think the Moomin season will be the last one I'll play in a while. Sky is beautiful and fun, but the burnout is getting to me. I do love your videos about Sky and I'll definitely check out your other content 💖.

What annoys me more is that in sky we have to play almost every single day to finish the pass. In all other online games that I play, I can skip weeks and come back to the game to finish everything in a few days if I grind enough. This forced daily participation is what drives me away from this game sometimes.

Exactly. I don't understand why people are so quick to defend TGC when they have increasingly moved toward predatory game design. Sky weaponizes FOMO a lot harder than most freemiums, between the current season, travelling spirits, mini events, etc it's a lot for new players to keep up with. Not to mention the grind for items is insane, the season alone has you logging in for 90% of the time its active to collect all of the rewards even if you buy the pass. I can't think of another battlepass that requires that much daily retention. I keep wanting to get back into the game and then I remember why I stopped playing in the first place.

I was an old player and came back and saw that these season passes for outfits feel incomplete. This is insane, season passes in Sky feel incomplete compared to other games that have seasonal exclusive season passes with cosmetics/emotes. Now you're telling me to complete outfits you have to purchase IAP stuff nah. I'd rather use my money and buy food or put it on other games.
I'm not against buying a few items. It supports TGC to continue Sky. Unfortunately with the collaboration events, TGC doesn't always get to decide what is or isn't IAP.

The lack of transparency with things like prices and the "will they wont they" of keeping certain items in after the season ends is so shady and incredibly disappointing, but still not surprising. I used to be a super active beta tester, especially in the discord chats, but it very quickly made me resent TGC. And trying to call out a lot of these shady or neglectful (asking beta testers to report bugs and then still letting those bugs go through to the live game anyway) practices in the discord chats gets people on your ass so fast. No one defends TGC harder than the people being exploited for free labor, lmao.

I’m guessing the Moomin people didn’t allow that. Collab owners never allow their actual IP stuff to come back with traveling spirits. Anything that’s not an iap or ultimate reward is only ever _inspired_ by the IP. I’m not a Moomin person but it looks to me like this season they did a pretty good job matching the vibes while keeping it ambiguous enough to get around that restriction.
I'm really not a fan of any look that can be complete without buying IAP, all the looks in the pass are incomplete, and after the end of the season, future players will only have incomplete sets, this includes those who can't pay now, TCG always surprising, at least one of the looks should be complete by the pass
as someone who is not a big nest decorator, i really wish these furniture items had a different model when worn on our backs (kind of like the first nesting items! for ex i love wearing the picture frames and the plant with outfits) i reallyy wish i could at least accessorize with these items if im never otherwise going to use them :/ but instead we get 10 of the same blue bag for last seasons tapestries and everything else this season 😭😭😭
That’s the thing, we have been complaining for years. It took them so long to add the favorite emote section, and it’s still lacking. TGC is really only in it for money, they don’t care.
just got to ninnys music sheet part. you have no idea how happy i feel. ive only gotten into moomin revently. maybe a month now? this season means the absoloute world to me now. the music sheets feel so moomin and it just makes me grin so much edit: just saw snufkins. the fact it sounds like something hed play in the 1990's show makes me even MORE happy. im litteraly buzzing with excitement.
Beta is a separate app though, not connected to live whatsoever. And since its beta, tgc can just decide at any point they need to wipe everyone's closets or currencies. Obviously they'd never be able to do this in live so your stuff is safe there lol. Hence why they always say: if you really want something, get it in live so you're sure you get to keep it. For all we know since the moomin IP holder seems so strict the IAP items will get removed from beta closets after testing ends. That's what happened after we finished testing the cinnamorol event, though we got spells then instead of the real items. They were wiped after testing ended, so nobody has those cosmetics in beta.
i can confirm from trying on the basic invisible outfit with the bell equipped that you can have any hairstyle equipped and the call still works as long as you're maskless. i didnt take my hopeful steward hairstyle off when i tried it.

Like someone else said, because this is a collab season, it kinda makes sense. But if it was just a typical Sky season, then I definitely agree. To my understanding, TGC doesn't exactly get the final say in what the pricing is, because it's business with another party. However, they're definitely getting greedy.

Totally happy with doing this season for free, not worth paying for it tbh. Not really the season for me, but I hope that those who are fans of Moomin enjoy it though ❤️
Since starting at the Season of Little Prince, the only season I've skipped getting a pass for was the Season of Moments, since the ultimate rewards weren't things I'd ever use. Looks like I'm going to be saving my money this season too. While a few Season pass items (especially the flower crown) are appealing to me, I can definitely wait for the traveling spirits to eventually show up.
If it helps, you can easily get 200 in roughly two weeks by going to geyser and grandma's dinner... You get roughly 15-16 candles from both events, but cleaning out the section the geyser is in, plus the bundles in the Vault definitely help to get 1 or 2 more.
The cello will remain in the game. If you’re patient and do candle runs, you will get there. If you want the invisible moth pants, prioritize those. If you don’t like Cr, you can afk at Grandma’s twice a day, and or do the trials. If you like none of that, this isn’t your game.
Put the candles towards the limited items IMO. Cello will stay here forever. I STILL have some items from older season's optional cosmetics trees that I haven't bought cause I haven't found them worth my candles yet, but I make it a point to get all the limited IGC items, because I know I would personally regret missing out on those more than I would miss out on having like, the 9CD hair flower *right now*
The Snufkin Cape is probably my favorite of this season so happy to see it’s free! Might cave and get the iap hat just to complete the set, it looks like a great item to match with other stuff as well
For these approximate five years, never have I ever wanted to hightail away from this game due to its prices. This game is gonna burn out so many people so quickly; the fervor for game time and money is getting to people, plus they have lives outside of this game. At this point, the only reason I still play is because of the fomo it has, I was upset at myself for not being able to complete the former season and saw everyone else have things from it. I hope everyone rest and financial revive, this season is going to be another roller coaster.
I'm still mad they decided to not only include Snufkin's pants or any of the iap cosmetics to be included in the pants, but also had the audacity to sell the hat separate from the pants. I feel so scammed
This season is so far really really cool but I do so wish that spells were completely removed from the season pass part of the tree. They’re so useless, like I dont think people should pay 10 dollars for some lousy spells that theyre probably never gonna use. A season pass would definitely be worth it if everything on the spirit tree were items, even just minor ones, literally anything, just not spells.
It's either IAP or a season pass for me, not both, especially with Mischief arriving soon. It's a really cute season, but Sky is too expensive for what they give compared to other games that offer constant rewards. I'm too burned out to grind through another season or to do more CR despite spending hundreds of candles recently. My fave MMO has more to offer -- less grinding, more rewards, more to do, fewer bugs, and an incentive to improve my playing.
It's really not skynis the cheapest game there is and you're not suppose to buy everything anyway if you can't afford something shut up and don't buy it you're the one stressing over every digital item like you're suppose to have them all. It's only overwhelming when you have the perspective that you have rn that everything should be available to you when that isn't the case

Compared to past seasons, this Seasonal Pass is so lacking. There's no emotes which ok but on top of that ALL the outfits are incomplete without buying their respective IAP. Snufkin's hat, Moomins tail, Ninny's cape and the hattifattener shoulder buddies like pleasee. There's really no excuse. Having no emote gives the tree enough space to include these in the season pass. Still, kinda happy they listened to the community a bit and fixed it from the previous horrid pass iteration. But still disappointed.
Man, 12 bucks for the ears and tail (I don’t even like the ears)? That stings. I get that collab seasons have more IAP than other events, but dang dude, the F2P players really got shafted this season.

Looks like I'll be skipping another pass. Skipped the last one due to the many poorly designed rugs / posters I'd never use. I did like the pants but I already have a ton of pants after playing for 2.5 years. I can wait for the TS to come back. This season is worse. No look is complete without making an additional IAP purchase. And tbh, the only cosmetics I REALLY like are the flower crown and the bow. I'm kinda on the fence about Ninny's dress, I do like it but not sure if it's really my style. Guess I'll have to try it in the Aviary shop. I also just dont want to grind for an item "because its never coming back" when I just know I'm never gonna wear 90% of the items in the season pass :/

I guess the pricing is because TGC thought the items aren't as needed as the players thought, so they priced it really high, which will definitely increase income to a ratio where they will definitely pay for tax and expenses. But normally players value them a lot and see them as valuable (like branded bags or expensive cars) but TGC doesn't think that way so they sell items at high prices to make enough profits, but the players were thinking since so much it's valuable they should decrease the price. As in Ed smaller than one, sell expensive to gain profit, Ed bugger than one sell cheap to gain profit. Both ways of selling differs because of the difference in numbers of buyers, Ed bigger than one has more buyers so sellers can sell cheaper to gain profit, whereas Ed smaller than one has less buyers so sellers have to sell expensive to gain profit equal as selling cheap in Ed bigger than one. I hope this explains it all

Yeah fr, it’s ridiculous that none of these outfits are complete without paying extra in the shop, just to complete the snuffkin outfit (the only one I’m interested in) I’d have to pay 15 dollars in the shop + 10 for the season pass. That’s actually insane. I had high hopes for this season but this just makes me sad. It’s taking advantage of one of the nicest communities you can find.

i only played this game a bit when it first released and i really wanted to get back into it when i heard of the moomin collab. But man it seems that everything cool you can get is now behind paywalls
It's so unfortunate that I looked forward to this season yet they kept releasing updates that makes grinding more and more time consuming so I just... Quited for a few weeks and it felt refreshing. Finally stop buying seasonal pass since sanctuary, it was a tough choice, but it had to be done. Which is unfortunate because I was so ready to pour TGC with my money if this collab was ACTUALLY GOOD... It is not. It is incomplete, a let down, and hollow. Compare this to season of little prince and you'll see what I mean. Unique story that combined both materials, items that had thoughts put into them, a really touching story that reminds you of why both franchise is good. Then there's this. This shallow, surface level collab with a few good items and that's it. The event map is also a huge let down, barely any exploration. Sky seasons used to be things I looked forward to, but they slowly became lesser, and unfortunately for this season I looked so forward to I'm stopping investing my money. I was disappointed.
Really hoping Ninis cape is not aip. It even made more sense as a ultimate gift, like, come on, its a part of the characters outfit. I love the plushie and umbrella but story wise just doesn't make sense to me.

Im pretty annoyed at tgc for not releasing the price for the default invisible oufit, especially as people like me (solo players) struggle to keep playing the game, it sounds small but not knowing the price for big items like the pants fills my heart with anxiety. @@wingedfeline5379 you don't have to be bald, you can wear any hair you want to, but for the call to work you have to be wearing either the 'free' invisible outfit or the one from season pass (Ninny's dress) & you must also be wearing the bell neck accessory. For the full effect, you would need to wear the 'faceless' black mask so that your 'face' isn't visible anymore.

I’m guessing the Moomin people didn’t allow that. Collab owners never allow their actual IP stuff to come back with traveling spirits. Anything that’s not an iap or ultimate reward is only ever _inspired_ by the IP. I’m not a Moomin person but it looks to me like this season they did a pretty good job matching the vibes while keeping it ambiguous enough to get around that restriction.

I'm really not a fan of any look that can be complete without buying IAP, all the looks in the pass are incomplete, and after the end of the season, future players will only have incomplete sets, this includes those who can't pay now, TCG always surprising, at least one of the looks should be complete by the pass
as someone who is not a big nest decorator, i really wish these furniture items had a different model when worn on our backs (kind of like the first nesting items! for ex i love wearing the picture frames and the plant with outfits) i reallyy wish i could at least accessorize with these items if im never otherwise going to use them :/ but instead we get 10 of the same blue bag for last seasons tapestries and everything else this season 😭😭😭

That’s the thing, we have been complaining for years. It took them so long to add the favorite emote section, and it’s still lacking. TGC is really only in it for money, they don’t care.
just got to ninnys music sheet part. you have no idea how happy i feel. ive only gotten into moomin revently. maybe a month now? this season means the absoloute world to me now. the music sheets feel so moomin and it just makes me grin so much

Pretty crappy that no attire is complete for anyone but those who get it all free (beta) or those with plenty of disposable money to buy everything.
Beta is a separate app though, not connected to live whatsoever. And since its beta, tgc can just decide at any point they need to wipe everyone's closets or currencies. Obviously they'd never be able to do this in live so your stuff is safe there lol. Hence why they always say: if you really want something, get it in live so you're sure you get to keep it. For all we know since the moomin IP holder seems so strict the IAP items will get removed from beta closets after testing ends. That's what happened after we finished testing the cinnamorol event, though we got spells then instead of the real items. They were wiped after testing ended, so nobody has those cosmetics in beta.
Really wish all the sets were completely in the pass , was really excited for snufkin :/

i can confirm from trying on the basic invisible outfit with the bell equipped that you can have any hairstyle equipped and the call still works as long as you're maskless. i didnt take my hopeful steward hairstyle off when i tried it.

Totally happy with doing this season for free, not worth paying for it tbh. Not really the season for me, but I hope that those who are fans of Moomin enjoy it though ❤️
Since starting at the Season of Little Prince, the only season I've skipped getting a pass for was the Season of Moments, since the ultimate rewards weren't things I'd ever use. Looks like I'm going to be saving my money this season too. While a few Season pass items (especially the flower crown) are appealing to me, I can definitely wait for the traveling spirits to eventually show up.
How am I supposed to get the 200 candle cello from last season if now I have to save another 200 for the invisible outfit? I can't keep up💀
If it helps, you can easily get 200 in roughly two weeks by going to geyser and grandma's dinner... You get roughly 15-16 candles from both events, but cleaning out the section the geyser is in, plus the bundles in the Vault definitely help to get 1 or 2 more.
The cello will remain in the game. If you’re patient and do candle runs, you will get there. If you want the invisible moth pants, prioritize those. If you don’t like Cr, you can afk at Grandma’s twice a day, and or do the trials. If you like none of that, this isn’t your game.

Put the candles towards the limited items IMO. Cello will stay here forever. I STILL have some items from older season's optional cosmetics trees that I haven't bought cause I haven't found them worth my candles yet, but I make it a point to get all the limited IGC items, because I know I would personally regret missing out on those more than I would miss out on having like, the 9CD hair flower *right now*

The Snufkin Cape is probably my favorite of this season so happy to see it’s free! Might cave and get the iap hat just to complete the set, it looks like a great item to match with other stuff as well

For these approximate five years, never have I ever wanted to hightail away from this game due to its prices. This game is gonna burn out so many people so quickly; the fervor for game time and money is getting to people, plus they have lives outside of this game. At this point, the only reason I still play is because of the fomo it has, I was upset at myself for not being able to complete the former season and saw everyone else have things from it. I hope everyone rest and financial revive, this season is going to be another roller coaster.
I'm still mad they decided to not only include Snufkin's pants or any of the iap cosmetics to be included in the pants, but also had the audacity to sell the hat separate from the pants. I feel so scammed
This season is so far really really cool but I do so wish that spells were completely removed from the season pass part of the tree. They’re so useless, like I dont think people should pay 10 dollars for some lousy spells that theyre probably never gonna use. A season pass would definitely be worth it if everything on the spirit tree were items, even just minor ones, literally anything, just not spells.
It's either IAP or a season pass for me, not both, especially with Mischief arriving soon. It's a really cute season, but Sky is too expensive for what they give compared to other games that offer constant rewards. I'm too burned out to grind through another season or to do more CR despite spending hundreds of candles recently. My fave MMO has more to offer -- less grinding, more rewards, more to do, fewer bugs, and an incentive to improve my playing.
It's really not skynis the cheapest game there is and you're not suppose to buy everything anyway if you can't afford something shut up and don't buy it you're the one stressing over every digital item like you're suppose to have them all. It's only overwhelming when you have the perspective that you have rn that everything should be available to you when that isn't the case

Compared to past seasons, this Seasonal Pass is so lacking. There's no emotes which ok but on top of that ALL the outfits are incomplete without buying their respective IAP. Snufkin's hat, Moomins tail, Ninny's cape and the hattifattener shoulder buddies like pleasee. There's really no excuse. Having no emote gives the tree enough space to include these in the season pass.
Still, kinda happy they listened to the community a bit and fixed it from the previous horrid pass iteration. But still disappointed.
Man, 12 bucks for the ears and tail (I don’t even like the ears)? That stings. I get that collab seasons have more IAP than other events, but dang dude, the F2P players really got shafted this season.

Looks like I'll be skipping another pass. Skipped the last one due to the many poorly designed rugs / posters I'd never use. I did like the pants but I already have a ton of pants after playing for 2.5 years. I can wait for the TS to come back. This season is worse. No look is complete without making an additional IAP purchase. And tbh, the only cosmetics I REALLY like are the flower crown and the bow. I'm kinda on the fence about Ninny's dress, I do like it but not sure if it's really my style. Guess I'll have to try it in the Aviary shop. I also just dont want to grind for an item "because its never coming back" when I just know I'm never gonna wear 90% of the items in the season pass :/

I guess the pricing is because TGC thought the items aren't as needed as the players thought, so they priced it really high, which will definitely increase income to a ratio where they will definitely pay for tax and expenses. But normally players value them a lot and see them as valuable (like branded bags or expensive cars) but TGC doesn't think that way so they sell items at high prices to make enough profits, but the players were thinking since so much it's valuable they should decrease the price. As in Ed smaller than one, sell expensive to gain profit, Ed bugger than one sell cheap to gain profit. Both ways of selling differs because of the difference in numbers of buyers, Ed bigger than one has more buyers so sellers can sell cheaper to gain profit, whereas Ed smaller than one has less buyers so sellers have to sell expensive to gain profit equal as selling cheap in Ed bigger than one. I hope this explains it all

Yeah fr, it’s ridiculous that none of these outfits are complete without paying extra in the shop, just to complete the snuffkin outfit (the only one I’m interested in) I’d have to pay 15 dollars in the shop + 10 for the season pass. That’s actually insane. I had high hopes for this season but this just makes me sad. It’s taking advantage of one of the nicest communities you can find.

It's so unfortunate that I looked forward to this season yet they kept releasing updates that makes grinding more and more time consuming so I just... Quited for a few weeks and it felt refreshing.
Finally stop buying seasonal pass since sanctuary, it was a tough choice, but it had to be done.
Which is unfortunate because I was so ready to pour TGC with my money if this collab was ACTUALLY GOOD... It is not. It is incomplete, a let down, and hollow.
Compare this to season of little prince and you'll see what I mean. Unique story that combined both materials, items that had thoughts put into them, a really touching story that reminds you of why both franchise is good.
Then there's this.
This shallow, surface level collab with a few good items and that's it. The event map is also a huge let down, barely any exploration.
Sky seasons used to be things I looked forward to, but they slowly became lesser, and unfortunately for this season I looked so forward to I'm stopping investing my money.
I was disappointed.

Im pretty annoyed at tgc for not releasing the price for the default invisible oufit, especially as people like me (solo players) struggle to keep playing the game, it sounds small but not knowing the price for big items like the pants fills my heart with anxiety. Ive found a lot of downs playing this game and its killing my motivation, but i want to see this game be better than a cash grab wrapped in a pretty paint job

@@wingedfeline5379 you don't have to be bald, you can wear any hair you want to, but for the call to work you have to be wearing either the 'free' invisible outfit or the one from season pass (Ninny's dress) & you must also be wearing the bell neck accessory. For the full effect, you would need to wear the 'faceless' black mask so that your 'face' isn't visible anymore.
