Hello dear Lady Sylvia. I simply adore Italian mosaics and micro-mosaics. I’m fortunate enough to have a few pieces myself. I have seen some of the mosaics you’ve shown in the pictures from Rome and Pompeii. They are glorious! There is also a place in Sicily called Piazza Armerina where they have ancient homes where the floors are covered in mosaics. They, in turn, are covered with plexiglass for preservation. I remember when we were there the heat was unbearable but I had to see every floor and decoration because I was mesmerized by their beauty. The large daisy cross is astounding. I also follow Tanya and Jason. She finds gorgeous pieces and is so much fun. Jason is so sweet and incredibly knowledgeable about everything jewelry and being a silversmith. Fantastic ❣️ it is just amazing how artists can work with such tiny pieces ,your beading, mosaic, miniature, anything . Even when I had young eyes 👀 I couldn't see such tiny items. Then again,I didn't have such talent 😂😅 I have a mosaic collection of pill boxes..Love them. The picture of Jesus, That's on my childhood Bible. When I was studying abroad in northern Italy I didn’t make it to the Vatican but I did see many mosaics in Ravenna! The scale and the detail is just amazing. I need to make it back to see the ones in the Vatican too! Thank you for sharing your collection, beautiful!
