Nice! Congrats! I have a 2004 Tundra DC Limited. It’s fully built for overland travel. I just went on a 2600 mile trip through 4 states. Drove it through hells revenge in Moab. These trucks are tanks and the 4.7 is amazing. I have owned the truck for almost 10yrs and will never sell it. Always looking for the next adventure. Keep truckin! 🤙
I have a 2005 Toyota Tundra SR5 Double Cab I bought New. 10 years ago I got a letter from Toyota about Frame rust. I brought my Truck To My Local Dealership where I bought the truck. They gave me a loaner Vehicle. The next morning I got a call From the dealership. They said that the frame Was Like Brand New and Didn't need a Frame. I told them I Am a mechanic and i always pressure washed the underside of the truck in the winter. They Said The mechanics were Impressed How Well the frame was and that they would spray the coating on the frame. I got the truck back . When I used the turn signals the relay cycled fast which means one of the lights is not working. When Checking They forgot to hook Up One of the wire harnesses . Also I checked and saw they scratched the cab of the truck when they reinstalled the bed of the truck which they removed to spray the coating on the frame. 2 years later the coating started pealing off and rust was on the frame which was not on the frame before they applied the coating. That was Proof they didn't clean the frame before applying the coating which sealed in any contamination that was on the frame before the coating. That Dealer Destroyed My Truck. Before Bringing The Truck To The Dealer The Frame Was Like New. I Should Never have Had That Recall Done. The Frame is All Rotted Now And Does NOT Pass State Safety Inspection.
You don't play around with the cleaning dude. You went above and beyond and did a lot of things that many others would just be OK with. I have an 2006 Tundra SR5 and you make me jealous of the Limited model.
I have a 2004 DC I bought new, still my daily driver. Best vehicle I have ever owned. I see you are in the rust belt? Hopefully you checked that frame out thoroughly?
Wow. You must be taking good care of it. I had this truck checked over before I got it and have had it sprayed. Most of the rust is surface. It’s pretty unavoidable unfortunately:(
Nice Tundra! I also just picked up a 2005 SR5 4WD Tundra with 214k miles. These are great trucks!
You’ll love it

That sounds epic. I’ll probably keep this one pretty stock, suspension wise. There aren’t many off road worthy spots in my area.
oh for sure, thats a clean rig you got there. How many miles?
It’s got about 120k miles. Pretty low for these trucks I would say.
@ nice! Ya it’s a baby. I got 141k

Yea. There were quite a few things I left out as well. I don't get to do a clean like this that often, but it's super satisfying when I do.
Awesome! Finally! Definitely an upgrade from the last one!
