    Hi
I too wasn't happy with the dense bread I was getting in my bread machine. I tried uh your steps, instead of water I used milk, instead of oil, I used butter, 3 cups of whole wheat flor n 1 cup of all purpose flour. I followed all your steps, method in the video. Thank you it came out exactly the same way n thanks I regained my confidence. I am using both the bread maker n the oven.
    Thanks for a great methodology.

I'm just new to baking bread and learning about the science of it all but man oh man this recipe/method produces the best bread I've ever had! I used a thermometer to check inside was done and wow. Soft soft inside, is spongy yet dense yet light all at once. It tears so beautifully and the crust... Oh my it's like layered levels of crispiness. Beautiful slight sweetness and robust flavour overall. Smells like honey and will definitely be keeping this one for future use and sharing with friends and family :) thankyou!!

Thanks for the recipe. I used it 5 times so far. I use fresh yeast. I always bake them in the machine and they come out perfect!
I got my bread machine as a gift for Christmas. At first I was quite scared to use it. Now I use it 2 times a week and it's one of my favorite kitchen machines.

Brenda Hoyte Hi Brenda! It is nice to "meet" you. I am glad to hear that you pulled out your bread machine. Once I started making my own bread, I can hardly eat the store bought stuff. I mainly use it as a dough machine and then shape and bake in the oven. Please keep me posted on what you make in your bread machine. I am working on more recipes so I should have something up in the next few weeks.

Sounds great Dan. Let us know how it turned out! Hope you end up liking that machine. Amy loves hers. There was a time that my mom and Amy both used their machines so much that it would be the only thing they talked about was making their own bread. 100 times better than store bought bread, but you have to eat it in 1-2 days, not 1-2 weeks. LOL!!!!!

Hello, my bread was the same. Has to be strong bread flour. Now I make sure that all ingredients are fresh, and I use my machine daily and every loaf is perfect. I measure out each ingredient into separate pots and then place in bread pan in the order according to the manual. Yeast goes last, into yeast dispenser (make sure it's the correct dried yeast for machines). Like Amy's recipe here, the one I follow is very simple. Pour strong white or wholemeal flour, honey, salt, water, sunflower seeds lastly yeast. It takes 3/4 minutes - switch on machine and leave!

Hi Amy & Eric. As I enjoy all of your videos, I think I enjoy your bread making videos a tad bit more. You're a beast (I mean that in a good way) when it comes to bread baking. I think I like baking bread more than cooking myself. Love the bread machine. I have a Pillsbury Automatic Talking Bread Machine that I got from a Thrift Store about a year or so ago.....only used it twice. I'm thinking about investing in a newer one, and the one you're using in this video has really peaked my interest. Think I'm going to go on Amazon and look it up. Thanks for sharing your video.

Hi Amy and Eric, bought an Ank, so thought I'd try this recipe. Been watching all your videos, I may need an intervention LOL So, used instant yeast this time and the verdict ? DON"T, oh my goodness it went crazy LOL It became an over achiever LOL So now I know to not be lazy and find the active yeast in the fridge next time. The dough worked up beautifully and was the exact consistency I wanted but holy over proofing LOL Thank you for sharing your recipes and reviews we(Hubby and I ) are really enjoying them. Cheers from Ontario Canada PS the chef robot looks like the bomb !

I bake great artisan bread but tired of cleaning up all the flour and washing all of the bowls, spoons, tables, etc. and I don't like a lot of flour going down my drain. So I was thinking of buying a bread machine to do the rising and kneading for me, just the same way you did. I have perforated baguette pans so I'll get a long loaf with a crispy crust. Love lots of holes in the crumb so I like a wetter dough than you used but I appreciate this video. Imagine I'll be going backwards from making my own to machine bread. Nice share! Thank you!

I tried it on Monday and my loaf is near gone! It is an excellent ! I used it in a Black and decker b1630. I baked it in the machine and brushed it with butter afterwards. I have been eating it by itself as well! Thanks! I bought my machine at the thrift store for 5 dollars and thanks to you, I can bake in it too!

I can’t wait to try this recipe in the morning. I’m hoping that my substitution of almond flour doesn’t make too huge of a difference (my kids are intolerant).
As for the hubby, hahaha I loved hearing him comment on the bread as he taste tested. Lol
