Moderate summary to this video footage reel ...
Noice title cause it's true ...Albany Ga., has lost over the last 40 years MAJOR manufacturing businesses, along with the 1994 Great Flood happened didn't help either. I'm blaming actually the City & County Government, Chamber Of Commerce, and the City Manager (whomever that may be). This town has spend unnecessary taxpayers monies on the stupidest business or town projects. Example : why franchise several carwash businesses when this City NEEDS recreational activities like a waterpark, trampoline/skate park, and other attractions.
Albany's roadways could perhaps bring new businesses into our economy with the help from constructing at least a I-75 corridor (using both exits from Tifton, Ga. and Cordele, Ga. bringing it around the City of Albany as a perimeter). This could be a great start in building Albany back along with Leesburg, Ga. merging with Albany (DoLee County) ...

I looked into buying a what I remember was a 26 unit apartment building there. The reasons stated in this video and the job market made the prospect very unattractive which is why I gathered that the property sat in listings so long.

I'm aware that it's a different Albany, not the NY capital, which is why I said "oh wait, the other Albany." Thanks for setting me straight on the pronunciation.
