@@Andyblarg I still comeback and listen to it regularly - usually for focus. My brother actually gifted me the newest Monkey Ball on steam and I played it this weekend, and there is a setting to turn all the music and audio back to original sounds instead of the new one! That's one of the most important features IMO. Really nice blast from the pass.
This sounds so nostalgic despite me never owning a Super Monkey Ball game. Only now am I realizing what damn good music this game has which encouraged me buy my what would be my first Super Monkey Ball game, Banana Mania with the OG Soundtrack. Playing and traversing through the levels is challenging and so fun made me wish I played the originals as a kid.
If you own a Wii and a classic controller you can play SMB2 through HomeBrew (I refer you to Nintendon't). As someone who also commented on videos like these and gotten replies a while after I know a lot can change in a year, so if you ended up doing what I said already I wouldn't be surprised)
No way bro just compared Twin to VGM that hurt me on a personal level 😭 Twin is really good in his own respect, but only his acoustic works could even kind of work as VGM (ex. Some of the stuff off Drukqs could be good indie music). His D&B songs are more for rave, and SAW85-92 + SAWII is uncompilable to early 2000s VGM, because it's not meant to be heard for hours on end. Looping Twin songs is a fucked practice and even then I don't think his experimental IDM / rave music of varying degrees of complexity fits this which is more of a sophisticated PS2 3rd party game esque not quite jungle but not quite traditional D&B song. Anyways sorry but the paragraph but TLDR this doesn't sound remotely like Twin
Here's a strategy: as soon as the level begins, run over to the side of the platform that faces up-left from the starting platform (or the side directly to the left of the one parallel to the starting platform). Wait in the middle of that side, and when the gear starts to stop, run into the hole, as the hole will always line up there the first time. If you miss it, then I don't know, but you shouldn't miss it if you follow this strategy.
Don't forget the stage called 'Walking'. I'm not sure if it's in this world or a later one, but those bumpers are the menace in that stage. I only started listening to these songs from Super Monkey Ball Deluxe, because of Bloons TD 6. One of the songs you can listen to in that game always seems to remind me of the Bubbly Washing Machine theme. And then the nostalgia hit because I wish I could play this game again.
@@blissfulzane7154 that's not the original world 3 track. It looks like the entire soundtracks in Monkey Ball 1 & 2 will be redone due to licensing issues much like the Banana Blitz remaster. EDIT: I found a video that had this version of the song in the remaster. Here's hoping we can have a music toggle option.
Bro, no kidding, so help me god that stage was hard, you literally gotta have PERFECT pin-point percision when tilting the control stick on those tightrope paths, not to mention those same paths get SMALLER as you traverse farther throughout, hate catwalk brav
Just got monkey ball mania today, and this is one of my fave soundtracks in the game, but they remixed it so bad in mania im playing this over the main music, thanks!!
B36 - Veer Field: Quite the imposing design, but not too hard overall. B37 - Teeter: A really fun seesaw level in my opinion! B38 - Stream: A fun, if somewhat disorientating level. B39 - Catwalk: Ugh, that final bridge portion... easily the hardest Beginner level. B40 - Catapult: The final Beginner level, & a really great one too! A41 - Reversible Gear: This one's more annoying than hard once you get the gist of it. A42 - Stepping Stones: This level's not very interesting... sorry... A43 - Dribbles: Kinda surprised there isn't a stage called Bubbles... A44 - U.R.L.: Now called Push Bar, I'm surprised Banana Mania didn't just use the U.R.L that Deluxe had... A45 - Mad Rings: Watch out Sonic! These rings are mad! E16 - Zigzag Slope: Take risks for more bananas! E17 - Tower: This one's pretty easy once you get the concept of it. E18 - Toggle: The solution here is easy; it's pulling it off successfully that'll give you trouble. E19 - Combination: Get it right & this one's no problem!
If you have a pc get the newest version of dolphin (older more stable versions run the movement in levels worse atleast from what i have seen) all you really need is a bluetooth controller with a stick and monkeyball away
Is it just me or is the super monkey ball music not as good anymore cause in the originals 1 2 and dulexe they were Amazing and even the world sound track in banana blitz on the wii was Amazing even though its not the original game
man ... the early 2000s were such a crazy time. so much good video games, music & art. really felt like we were living in the future.
Best soundtrack level from the whole game. Plus the ocean aesthetics of world 3 are top notch.
Definitely THE BEST part of the game.

This is one of the most Y2K soundtracks and I love every minute of it
Love the guitar chords in the background ping ponging back and forth in the audio, panning left to right and back again at 1:22
works really well!
Yooooooo never realized that!!!

THAT LEVEL IS THE REASON I KNOW THIS SONG SO WELL... hours of getting smacked off of the map by that fucking gear
I remember hating that level with a passion but once I figured out the pattern it was so easy.
@@macaronifanatic7287 I always had to do that stage for my sister when we played since I was the only one who could get the timing down

Arthropod ain't even featured in this world. Story mode it's Inside A Whale and challenge mode it's Boiling Pot.
