I just heard the Overworld rendition a few hours ago (it's incredible, btw. Knocked it out of the park with really capturing that optimistic, beyond joyous, city pop feel that made me adore the original to begin with and follow their work to begin with. Not to mention it's so cool to see two chiptune artists I've seen around remixing and sharing work too) and like clockwork the Athletic theme rolled around on my feed BUT DAMNN just like with the last this absolutely knocked it out the park so hard its now in orbit. The absolute Synthpop 80s vibe this gives off is immaculate, and the little additions/extensions in the song itself just give it that extra oomph. The original already slapped so hard and this just gives it an entirely new experience! Amazing work!!
This feels like something that'd play as part of a ending sequence in an anime or when a bunch of characters are having fun getting somewhere like they're racing there or having a nice drive on the way there. Also didn't expect to see this get arranged. Good job as always. Especially with the part you added.
