The 2022 stage is known as one of the worst stages in the Eurovision community, mainly because of the "SUN OF DEATH" thats seen in the back of the stage. It was originally meant to turn its multiple arches during the performances, but they couldn't get it to work probably, so in the end they decided to keep it still for all performances except for the interval acts. So it was dubbed "SUN OF DEATH" since its just this black half-sun sitting behind the performers at all times, covering up the LED in the back, even ruining many of the original staging concepts! People were pissed! 😆

Yeah, the sun didn't work but thanks to the lights on the sun and the fountain which kinda worked for many entries
Random fun fact if y'all are Ice Hockey fans, Domi is the daughter of "The Dominator" Dominik Hašek. Freaking loved this song, and I hated that it had to open the final. Running order matters massively, and coming early will ruin your placement.
That’s amazing to know! We grew up near Buffalo where the dominator was most of his career, so we knew all about him!
and the fact that her dad actually won the Olympic bronze in this very stadium in 2006 and then 16 years later she makes it to the Eurovision final on the same arena!

This was one of my favourite from 2022, it didn't do as well but its such a bop. What alot of people dont realise is how much the performers have to do leading up to live shows, the main singer I believe was dealing with a sore throat.
It was killed by the running order. Just like Austria last year.

It was also one of my favorites - before the show. But with this bad staging it failed completely. Neither the visuals nor the ugly costumes made any sense, and vocals were unfortunately also not the best. But just as a song for itself, I still like it, too.
I got to watch them perform in the semifinal rehearsal and they were incredible! Lights Off actually became my most listened to song of 2022.
One of my favorite songs, I listened to it for days before Eurovision started.

Also please react to 'Hatrid Mun Sigra' by Hatari, an icelandic industrial punk rock and rechno band who represented iceland in 2019. That was a wonderful WTF moment!
Regarding the specific meaning of the song, the lead singer said she likes to keep that to herself. They did share though that the song is a call out for someone that is really close, but sort of far, and about picking yourself up from a difficult situation.
As for the David, no idea other than it's impactful imagery and the contest was in Italy.

The effect you talk about at 7.10 is called "dolly zoom", first experimented in cinematography by Alfred Hitchcock in "Vertigo", and it works exactly in the way you describe it. It is used to give a feeling of unreality or to represent fear or vertigo... It's been used in many other success movies, like "Jaws" for instance...

The dreaded 1st performance spot. No one has ever one from 1st or 2nd spot. I absolutely love this track, my favourite song from 22. I'm still playing this track daily. The video is cool too. A shame her vocals were off on the final. 😥 It still deserved far more points.

Don't praise that cursed stage!!! The stupid sun that never moved spoiled a lot of the performances and put a lot of the performers off their sets.
You see that huge black arc behind them? It wasn't supposed to be black. The stupid water of the stupid people that thought water was a good idea got into the circuits and fried it, and they weren't able to fix it. So almost everyone had a huge black blob in the back (some had staging that didn't show it).
I haaate people clapping on concerts, but I hate more people clapping on MUSICALS
