Love your color choices! One question, the DS Burnt Orange said original - is there a new version other than PO48? I heard that it was going to be discontinued, but I hadn't heard about replacements. I don't always hear about stuff until it's all over but the shouting.😉
@@SarahBaileyArts I think that has PO48 in it too. Many of my favorite colors have it especially the Daniel Smith greens like Sap Green, Deep Sap, and Undersea. It's going to leave a big hole. 😞 But I'm sure that I'll be smitten with other colors as those age out. Seems to be the way of it.
@@stas61690 Ah HA good catch, I didn't think about that! Yeah I think quin gold is going to be yet another change as well, bummer, I don't really like the "new new" versions. I have enough to last me a little while I guess....... *eyeballs art store websites...*
Nice color swatching! I usually paint with Daniel Smith but lately have started painting with more W&N colors, which is actually what I started out with (their Cotman line). What are your favorite W&N colors?
Definitely their burnt sienna, all the way. I really like their payne's grey also, it's very blue, which I prefer. The sepia is super rich once you get it going, and the cobalt turquoise is quite nice as well, I love it for oxidized copper. Aqua green, gold ochre, and transparent orange were all from a release that was originally limited, all fairly unique and interesting colors. W&N don't go in on all the gimmicks and hyped up convenience colors, I consider them the tried and true solid choice, reliable, consistent, and really very high quality. I think they're milled/mulled to a slightly finer quality, but that's totally personal speculation.(Keep an eye out tomorrow, another W&N video on the way. 😀 )
This is great. I love pulling out things I've tucked away and putting them to good use, too!
What a pretty palette selection!
i'll never get bored of swatching vids hahahha~ thanks for sharing!
Right?! They're easy to make and everyone loves them!

Hi Carol! No I just put that in because of the discontinuation, I don't know of a replacement yet, quin burnt sienna might be a good alternative.
