This game definitely looked amazing during the 90s. It still looks good in 2020. I remember we weren't allowed to choose alternate colors unless player 2 was playing the same character. Does anyone know where we can download this version of the game? I know that this version was made for the tournament, but I was wondering if it is downloadable.
A bit late but it's a patch that you apply to the original TF rom. It's easy to find, search "tournament fighters champion edition" in RUclips, some videos provide a link to the patch.
They should fix the grab on stun, so that Rat King is fair. Would be cool to see him as a competitive character. Change his air kick to needing a special input, and he’s quite a fair character.
Fixing grab on stun will help fix Armaggon's throw loops as well. We do intend to give the dropkick a special command since it already does chip, but there will be more added to make him a complete character.

Its a fun game. But "complexity, heart and soul"? wtf? The super mechanic in this game makes 0 sense and most moves have 0 lag. This is like melee where bad game design actually makes it kinda fun.
Jeez the announcer that stood on the mic the whole time was so awkward about everything. Made this a tough sit. Congrats on the tournament though, needs severe balancing but this was always a really cool game in the turtles history. And imo, the best looking turtle sprites around.

So did they call things like boxer and dictator and over all avoid any mention of SF to avoid copyright? If so, it's so weird that we can't even talk about how things are similar without a company wanting everything we own for it.
I’m not 100% sure about this game specifically, but with most 90’s fighters Fightcade is your best bet. You’ll have to find a TMNT:TF ROM on your own, though. Also they specifically mentioned that they’re using a ROMhack that adds some QoL changes, so asking in their Discord would be a good way to learn about that ROMhack
SNES, Genesis and NES, and each of them not only play differently, they also all have different playable characters (save for the turtles themselves and shredhead)
i don't understand the logic behind stage bans, seriously.. I play smash bros melee and mvc2 competitively and have played other fighters in the past like mk9 and banning a stage simply because a small size difference is dumb and takes away from certain strategy in the meta. The whole point of stage variation is to allow for deeper meta, counterpicks, baiting the counterpicks and just overall longevity of the game. Look at smash where all the stages are wildly different. Like come on, how is ANY stage bannable, really? The only banworthy thing in this game is Karai, that's it. Even RatKing gets countered by certain characters like Raph.
next project i want for Arc Systems that looks like DBZ Fighterz , is a TMNT Fighting Game, it has been too long. I would prefer 2 v 2 instead, and the 3rd character as an Assist only .

I think version from NES is more unique and interesting for play because have very interesting physics for fighting games (from NES especially) but have very limited roster of characters =\ . Snes version looks very similiar with SF series.

The Genesis version of this was the first game my brothers ever put into the system. It took a while before I finally played this version.
The sega had one, I didn't like it though, it played really weird and the hit sounds were also weird.

Hahaha, that wouldn’t make sense. They are referred to as “Boxer” and “Dictator” to avoid confusion, as their names differ from region to region.

I used Armaggon when I had this as a kid as he resembled Guile's moveset, as I could only nail charging moves in fighting games.
Would be great to have a world championship but most part of the world played tmnt tf on NES.
