Sure, a little bit of take out doesn’t hurt anyone.. but what if you are on a budget, trying to be healthier or are just sick and tired of food waste.
I thought to myself ‘THERE SHOULD BE AN APP FOR THAT’
Welcome back to episode 6 of ‘There should be an app for that’ the design and branding tutorial where I create app solutions for things that irritate me.
This design tutorial and creation of the food app Nutria aims to inspire users to become better home chefs. It incorporates a vast catalogue of recipes that filter based off a users skill level and ingredients.

From initial user research to final design touches, discover the key steps and insights that transformed this app into a user-friendly and visually appealing experience.
Follow my journey going through design principles, challenges, and creative decisions that shaped the new look and feel of this recipe finder +. cooking app.

thank you so much!
Great video Jen! Do you have a behance or Dribbble account where you post the prototypes for these designs? It would be great to get to see and play with them on my own!
That's a great question! I have both a Behance and Dribble but haven't posted these designs on them yet - but they will be coming! My user name on both of them is Jen Drews. The platform I post more information on the process is Instagram and you are welcome to follow me there @j.drewsdraws
You make it fun to watch you create a new app. You do a good job of explaining every step in the creative process and then demonstrating what happens as you actually do each step.
Thank you so much! I'm glad that it was a fun and entertaining video!
