Wish we had some pretty water like that down here in north georgia. All our water is somewhere between mud hole and mud pie. I know this video may have seemed kinda simple to many but this was a very successful trip. Fishing from the bank and getting that much action in February is a big deal.
Got to love those trophy stickfish. Still have one from a couple of years ago. Just can't let it go. I think the fishing it's going to be good for Your Tourney John, Best of luck.
Can't wait to see the tourney results ! Several nice bass in this vid. I have a fishing friend that lives on the lake there. This lake also produces big stripers and catfish. I hope you have a "profitable" day tomorrow. Always be careful. Pap Blevins
Hopefully you had a good tournament and will let us know the results! Nice to see the feesh are getting more active! May have to order up or try and find that Berkeley! Thanks
Well I'm glad to see you got on some fish. You caught more in this video then I have in like 3 months lol. I'm looking forward to the tournament vid. 👊👍
I got my PB LM earlier in February on one of those little Bobby Garland type baits you’re using. Granted, it was only about a two pound bass, but I was quite surprised, given the bait size and time of year.
Good idea scouting. Little baits, little fish. Hope you are throwing something bigger in the tournament. Nice fishery. Seems to be lots of bait and so forth to feed some bigger fish
hi. I enjoy watching your videos. I'm new to fishing and I'm learning new things thanks to videos. What is the model of the Shimano rod you are using in this hunt? I liked it very much and I want to get it. thanks.
That is a bit odd to catch a Bass on cut bait. But you just never know. Once l caught a huge Channel Catfish on a Rebel Deep Diving Crankbait. While trolling for Hybrid and Striped Bass.
I'll never forget one day when my friend and me fished a pond for several hours for bass and didn't get a bite. We put some stink bait on a Carolina rig to try for a catfish and ended up catching a bass on stink bait!
ive caught many bass on cut bait in my life, usually catfishing. im sure its natural cause its just fish theyre smelling and they dont know im catfishing(; nobody fishes for bass that way though but its not really a big stretch from having a live bait on, other than its obviously not live and wiggling. i use cut bait ice fishing also and usually im not catfishing but i also have caught some big cats this way also. tight line fowlowl....
@@markgray8360 i have also caught catfish on spinner and top water buzz baits while bass fishing. its all just preditory reactions ,like any animal thats hungry its gonna get some. tight lines mark and God bless.

The Driftwood pre fishing 🎣 👌 worked out nice. Love a mixed bag of willing participants. Blessings brother
Enjoy watching your videos my friend. Thanks and keep them coming. Good luck in the tournament. Take care.

Awesome catches, hope the tournament goes well!
I sometimes catch those logs as well, better than loosing your line though😊
Love that huge " Muske-LOG " you caught at 9:40 was awesome, John! I just caught a 40 incher like that a few days ago!! :-)

Me and my wife love watching your videos, good luck in the tournament, be safe
Love the intro scenery Jon!!! Good looking fish as well!
Humps is where ww always caught fish at Watts Bar, even shallow in the pre-spawn all the way to mid summer.
You were less than 1-3 miles from my place. I recognized the Shady Grove Ramp and Blue Springs Marina. Good luck!

hi.
I enjoy watching your videos.

thanks.
Good luck 👍
Enjoyed!
Good strategy if you can find the baitfish with the small rods you know the bass are close by because they eat them
Good luck and God bless.

I've known people fishing for trophy muskie in Wisconsin catch a 40 Lb. Flathead trolling!

@@robertdudley-rx8qo I have caught channels on Rapalas fishing for smallmouth. It's not uncommon at all.
It is not easy holding on to a big one with a crappie jig. Looked like a fun bank to beat
i got to find those creek smallies like you do, i have a tough time in winter in the creeks here
Spring is coming!!!!
The Gilly is a great bit!
Great video
Good luck in the Tourny, John. Have you considered streaming Live on YT for some of your tournaments, or regular fishing trips?
no but sounds interesting to try
Great vid!!
I like watching your videos.. you make fishing look so easy.. I never catch anything… keep up the great work
I hope you have a great year *****
Glad to see you Brother!! Quick query, on the reels you use for ultralight or medium light, how many ball bareings do you recommend.
i really never pay attention to that, i usually like to use reels in the 60 -120$ range
My favorite bass fisherman John
Great video🔥
Did Cole let you try out his ACC sticks and you had to get one?
Nothing better to boost some confident before a competition.
You got it Man. 1st place bet!!
What is going to be the target species during the tournament
Bass
bass, mostly largemouth
If they're chasing bait a weightless fluke should do you some good!
Catching a lot of Treepounders I see
Isn’t prospecting the day before a tourney illegal?
No, its not illegal. On a side note, the word Prospecting means to search for minerals.

Illegal? Not by law enforcement. It may be against tournament rules, but that is rare.
we are alo0ud to fish before, there are some rules about it in certain tournaments
