I dont got much of a story but out of four of my grandparents only one of them ever saw a war with his/her eyes. My grandfather was 7 when the germans invaded Albania. He didnt see any combat considering that not much happened in albania during ww2. Although he does remember quite a few stories. One time he and his family were returning to their house when they saw it on fire and heard a lot of gunfire. Luckily none of them were hurt. Meanwhile my grandmother's brother was 14 at the start of ww2. Even though he was so young he still did fight. He was a partisan fighting for Albania and I respect him to this day. He is still alive at 93. I'm happy none of my grandparents ever fought in ww2. Yet I dont forget how horrifying it was.
My Grandfather could Not go to war, he was 15, but a Lot of his friends went, some did Not come back. My grandpa stayed here in Brazil working on the industries (yeah, Brazil sent men to italy) although My great grandma is italian, My grandpa was ready to go and defend his country. My grandfather fought in ww2, he was awarded 2 '3-star' swords of the Japanese captains he killed down there in the jungles. He killed them with a dagger and a rifle while being on a night's watch on a British troops camp. We still have those swords in our possession.
The Japanese THEN committed some very bad atrocities, they were horrendous. But the present generation weren't there at the time. They are not responsible for what happened. However, the Japanese youth of recent years have not been taught (in schools etc.) about what went on in WW2, many of the country's leaders, and older generation, are still in denial.
My great grandfather served in the Wermacht WWII on both fronts and survived. He was not a believer of the Nazi ideology, and he was a great soldier. Much respect 🇩🇪❤️💯

In memory of John Allen Jones Jr, a US ball turret gunner whose plane was shot down over Germany, spent months in a German-run POW camp, and when he came back, despite the abuse and weighing just over a hundred pounds….only told funny stories of the POW camp, like how they taught the German guards who wanted to learn English ridiculous phrases. Or how when he first got out of his parachute after bailing out of the damaged plane, a very elderly German woman came screaming out of a nearby farmhouse, and kept feebly hitting with a broom as he stood there and smoked a cigarette and waited for the other Germans approaching to take him prisoner. He also was so hungover on a practice jump during basic training in the US, he jumped at the wrong spot (while the instructor was doing a walk-thru of the jump commands before they were at the jump site). They had to send a Jeep into the Arizona desert to find him. He met a pretty young nurse named Katie while in hospital recovering, and were married for about 50 years.
My grand grandfather served in the WW1 and died in the trenches during the battle of Somme after my grandfather was a Canadian soldier and served in the Airborne and fought in the D-Day but died during the landings, after my dad fought in the Irak War but he was only shot in the leg.
What will happen? World War 4 will be fought with stone hand-axes. Einstein said something about that nature. His conversation with Roosevelt: "With the technology which will be available to us. One day a ship will enter New York harbor and with one explosion from a device on that ship the entire city will vanish from the face of the earth." Just this combination and a 9/11 style attack will fulfill this prophesy.

He also helped land General Patton in the invasion of Sicily and Salerno. He also served in North Africa. On Omaha, he was standing under heavy German fire. Somehow he made it out alive that day. He later served in the Korean War. He served in the Army in WW2, the Coast Guard in Korea, and then served in the Marine Corps, and Navy. He went to VMI and graduated at age 22 and was 35 in 44. My Maternal great great grandfather fought in the British Indian Army in WW2 and he died in an unknown location in 1942. Maternal Great grandfather (different branch of family tree) was in the Indian Army during the India-Pakistan wars of 1965 and 1971. He single handedly constructed an air raid shelter for his locality all by himself during the 1971 war. My paternal grandfather meanwhile, was an NCO in the Indian Air Force, who fought in the wars of 1965 and 1971 after surviving partition and coming to India as a refugee a few years after the partition due to discrimination. I am currently finding more information about warriors of my family tree as many were recruited from the villages during both the world wars, where my ancestors come from. And also, many of my ancestors were Sikh, and would have hence fought in the Anglo-Sikh wars and other wars of the Sikh Empire.
My great grandpa was an Australian who was at darwin the time of it being attacked by the Japanese. He was lucky when Japanese bomber flew over and dropped a bomb right next to him. He was standing on a deck so when the bomb hit it crashed through and hit the mud below and it didn't detonate. he then served in the army and became a combat medic and fought in papua new Guinea. Although he almost became AWOL and was no longer a combat medic because he shot the enemy. The geneve convention prohibits combat medic from firing a gun. He said that if the enemy is shooting at him, he should back. He would also catch meleria during the campaign. Now unfortunately i do not know much of what happened next this due to him not talking about the thing he did which is understandable.

The story of mankind. We never learn...
that means we need just some alzeimers to make war come back to our lands!
If this doesn't strike a feeling in your heart and soul, you have no idea about war.
My grandfather did too. Survived WW2 and lived until aged 71. Most of my family’s grandfathers were in the same war as my grandfather was
I appreciate that these types of videos give glory to soldiers from both sides.
this is the fastest way to clear out stuck poop🤣🤣🤣
My Grandfather could Not go to war, he was 15, but a Lot of his friends went, some did Not come back. My grandpa stayed here in Brazil working on the industries (yeah, Brazil sent men to italy) although My great grandma is italian, My grandpa was ready to go and defend his country. I pay all respect for all men, from allies Or axis that lost their lifes.
🙌🏼

My dad told me when he was in Germany he met a old man who had fought in Stalingrad. He was a National Socialist and proud. He needed up getting captured with whats survived of his unit and he end up spending 10 years in Siberia. My dad asked him if he would do it again and smiling he said i would. Many German solider in ww2 where nazis but who cares it was a just politics. It does matter is he is a supporter of hitler or not both can be good soldiers and both can be war criminals.
@@littlejimmy8744 exactly! I don't think any of the soldiers cared about the Nazis at all after a month in combat. They just cared about their fellow men and cared about their own lives as well.

@@Chva_Ce_pjeal thats sadly true

My Great Uncle was a captain in the second world war and was a beach master on Omaha. He went in before the first wave in the attack. He directed the landing on that beach and helped soldiers out of the boats. He was one of the first American soldiers to land in France that day. After the war, he became a sheriff. Rest in Peace Captain F Perry Williams.

My grand grandfather was a pilot and he fought for the UK in the D-DAY operation, i am proud of him 🇨🇿🇬🇧
My great grandpa was an Australian who was at darwin the time of it being attacked by the Japanese. Now unfortunately i do not know much of what happened next this due to him not talking about the thing he did which is understandable.
he also survived the war and died in 2013
