Pink, white (pearl white too), and motor oil are 🔥. They are the go to colours and anything natural blue back white/ clear belly, reflective silver. The brown and clear 2 tone looked nice as well. Your combo looks awsome, i love 8ft rods whish they stocked more majorcraft here. It seems every tackle shop here doesn't sell anything over 7'4" and mostly 7ft. There were 3 rods 2x 7'6" shimano (i am betting same blank) and a a 8'3" NS black hole, they are all EGI rods. I purchased the NS black hole EGI 2.5 -3.5 and had its first fish yesterday LOVE IT. I think its to firm for squid tbh but whiting, and snapper its awsome (that would include your wrass). I rate it about 2-5kg, medium fast action but more on the medium side, the egi size reference gives it about a 10g to 25g cast. I will pair with a Handing M1 3000 when it arrives.
Sounds like a well balanced setup. To be honest I now believe something like a medium is better for close quarter work, no more than a medium fast as they fight so hard and you can’t give them any drag you need that extra give in the rod to stop the hooks from pulling out
I bought the crostage as a little treat after your review a while ago, slipped on a rock the first time I used it and it snapped near the butt first cast 😢 Can't wait for the water clarity here in North Yorks to improve soon so I can get in on the action, albeit with a more budget rod 😂
That’s a bitch mate. It’s not the rod that catches the fish anyway. I used budget kit for years. Sometimes a slightly softer rod helps prevent hook pulls
Yay A wrasse upload!!! Good work bud. I have to admit if they're not hitting the pintailed sexy impacts my confidence wains. Something ive really noticed ,is that the bigger wrasse tend to fall for a paddletail/Shad lure. What are youre findings/Thoughts bud?
I filmed it a couple years back and thought I’d lost it but found it on an old hard drive. Bigger fish definitely take Shads more readily. In the spot on film I had a 4lb 12oz Greeny 5 years back. Caught on a Duckfin Shad
@@TheConstantAngler i do love the action of the Daiwa duckfins..... I've got lots, my favourite is in the wagasaki colour. Thanks for sharing and I do hope you're mended from the opp. Bud Take care 👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻
Nice mix up!! 👌🏾
Excellent 😎👍
Good to see there are days when it's just not happening. Makes me feel better anyway 😅
It’s not always fish after fish even on the best of marks
Let the wrasse fishing begin .
Great stuff. Good luck buddy

@karlstokes874 I like that and the Gudgeon colour. Getting there mate.
@@TheConstantAngler glad to hear that.

What size ofset hook do you use on Rooney lures tip top tips.
Generally a size 1/0 will fit most of his lures but I go as low as a 1 or up to a 2/0
I use the small swim baits, about 95% of what i throw.
I must admit I don’t use them enough.
