Cool report mate, looked right for a while there, didn’t expect the Peg Knights to fail to break the night goblins. Also, just looked that your opponent was a little loose with ranking up the skirmishers, sorry to be picky, but it was annoying me 😂
Yeah those peg Knights need to be built carefully so they rank up. I think it's a trap to charge a big unit , you wont break them unless you can outnumber them 2:1 or get a lucky break test roll. That is the only thing that helps infantry ,the fall back in good order and counter punch with something.
Very nice battle. Good job against that Bret list, definitely a tough one. Lots of luck with the doom divers, but that's beautiful about Warhammer (though, to be honest, the DD's ability to lessen the scatter die result is very strong).

I keep looking but I haven't seen them for your army. I am especially looking for a 2000 pt and 1500 pt O&G list as I want to play your list next month when I finish painting My Mighty Keith too or 2.
Thanks I use New Recruit for my army builder . I like Old World Builder , but it’s not very good at checking the list is legal , sometimes it lets you take things that aren’t quite legal.
Great battle rerport, I really enjoyed watching it. I think Bretonians having bombards is against their fluff. Aren't bretonians supposed to hate black powder weapons? Or is that just in 7th Edition?
I don’t know ? I haven’t seen many people using Grail Knights , it’s mainly Peg Knights , Green Knight etc. I used to run a big unit of Grail Knights back in the day.
It a Bretonnian Exiles list, which are non law abiding Bretonians. They get access to Bombard and some other stuff but lose access to Grail Knights. Also they have to earn the blessing of the lady. @@CreakyGamers Grail knights are under rated just every one brings peg knights
@@CreakyGamers Yes, army lists are very different to 8th Edition, which themselves were very different to 7th Edition. My 7th Edition Wood Elves were mainly woods, now (TOW) they are mainly elves.
Good stuff 👍 I'm always tinkering with my army , I wish I could run more foot slogging Orcs in my list , but they just dont do anything vs all the shooting , magic and dragons out there. I like a mob of boys with warbows , so I might try that out again. My list are problably not good examples of top lists , I usually have a couple of narrow wins and losses , I never seem to get any big wins. Good luck.
I think it's a fair list , at least there were only 3 in each Peg Knight unit and he didn't have the Green Knight as well. , Peg Knights are really good and the 360 charge is hard to deal with. I havent faced the Green Knight yet , that would be a real problem. I think the exlies list is good because they get the ranged support from the bombards , very good list.
Hmm that Bretonnian player made a mistake. The Baron can't vanguard up with the unit of Pegknights, they would need to abandon him if they wanted to vanguard. As far as I am aware there isn't a way to give a character vanguard in bretonnia unless you make them the bsb and give them the vanguard banner but then you run into the same issue just reversed.

No. What's more, if the unit is formed, it will not be able to make a Vanguard rule. I think it works with the banner. As it is not innate to the unit (like chaos hounds for example) but from a magic banner. Once the characters is part of the unit (in deployment) they gain vanguard as well. Magic banners usually effect characters that join the unit

Doom divers are over twice as likely to hit their target then a stone thrower.
