wondering if I could get your opinion.. i play alot of first person shooter games on pc.. and have noticed that my vision which eye drs as of last year told me that I have 20/20 but a slight stigmatism on my right eye.. but lets say there is a player far off running to the right side of my screen.. only 2 - 5 cms in height.. pretty small usually.. i notice them.. then lose them instantly like my eyes cross or something... i was looking in the mirror and if I focus my eyes on my left eye.. nothing happens.. if i focus on my right eye, and as soon as I let my eyes go out of focus my right eye moves a few cms away from my nose.. Intermittent Exotropia from what im reading.. im 40 years old this month.. will glasses help with this? or what do I need to have done?
You would need to see an eye specialist to determine what is needed. Glasses can be prescribed to help manage an intermittent exotropia but only in some instances.
@@reclax919 my eyes have gotten alot better. I got a prescription a few years ago, but they messed something up.. everything was blurry with them on. I found out my vitamin D was REALLY LOW.. also my Testosterone and got on TRT, not sure if that has anything to do with the eyes but they have been much better since starting TRT
I had intermittent exo for about 50PD at near and 40PD at distance,as an adult. Got the R&R surgery in one eye only and there’s still some exodrift left at the cover test ,but generally the control is excelent now. How can I fix that residual exo left (probably 10-15PD)? Are the eye exercises good at this point,3 weeks post-op? (eg. pencil push-ups,etc)cause’ I don’t want to lose control again over some years
Ma'am there is one patient of mine who is hyperopic with astigmatism and IXT . So what would you suggest to give concave glasses or to give minimal convex lens. Right eye +0.5 spherical and left eye 1.25. Right eye we can avoid but what would u suggest for left eye.
My 18months old has intermittent exotropia, his left eye squints when looking at distance or anytime, somtimes its less frequent and sometimes more, in eye examination opthalmologist could not find squint as its intermittent and claimed that ur child has no any squint or its a pseudo squint, but as we have observed so we are sure he has squint, but we are confused what would be the further processing, will he be left with this squint untill it gets worse? Or it will be cured itself as he uses both of his eyes most of the time?
It is difficult to say. This deviation varies in terms of whether it improves or gets worse for each patient. I suggest you try to take photographs of when the eye is turning so that next time you see your eye specialist you can show them the images.
I have intermittent exotropia and it's alternate divergent squint I'm 25 my right eye vision 6/6 and left eye vision 6/34(6/6 with glasses) and deviation is 50 /55 prism dioptre both near and far distance do I need surgery in both eye or only left eye please reply
