    For all those who worry about power you are so spoiled today. I had 2 80’s V8 cars 180hp & 225hp respectively. The 86/BRZ is closer to 240. Sure you won’t win races but you can have all the rwd antics & fun plus you won’t loose your license or your life. This car gives all the right ‘feels’.
    I have 2022 BRZ and in lightweight car heaven definitely buy another if anything happens.

      Same, I've had my '23 BRZ for 5 months now and I love it. Best bang for the buck period.

    im wrapping a gr86 at my shop right now from black to purple, and i can just say from moving it from our parking lot to inside the shop it hits the sports car feel. I was especially impressed with the interior, im 6'3 and fit perfect. im on the fence if i want one of these or the supra

    Picked up our Premium 6spd MT one week ago and I'm still watching videos about it. The 2023 model is going to be very hard to improve upon. The Brembo brakes on the 2024 Trueno edition is one way. 😢😅😂😊

      Carbon fiber roof, lighter rims, sticker tires, dry sump for the oil and you have the track pack!

    Wonderful cars, these GR86 and BRZ twins. With for my part a slight preference to the Subaru, due to its more supple suspension tuning, red accents inside, less oversteery, and rarity in Europe ...

    I am pretty sure this car weighs in at 1.275kg.😊 But might depend if in Sweden you calculate with driver and full tank of gas included. Or maybe snow stuck on the car 😂😂😂

    • @HonestCarReviews
      @HonestCarReviews  Год назад +3

      Service weight according to the swedish insitutie of transport is 1351 kg. I think it is almost full tank and driver included

    A straight six with 300-320 hp would make this car an actual contender. It is a slug as is, fun and you can drive the hell out of it. Still super slow, every scca event is full of them and they always fall behind the pack unless swapped or boosted.
    Edit: I just want to make it clear that these are fun cars, but the engine is just a huge letdown and holds it back so much because body wise it is fairly well balanced, stiffer spring rates, better brakes and it is track ready. It just wont win many races, but you will have fun doing it.

    • @TrojanRabbit521
      @TrojanRabbit521 Год назад

      Slug not really try NA Miata with whopping 115 hp. My 88 Mustang 5.0 had 225hp and 79 Z28 eked out 185hp from V8.
      I traded in a Guila Ti (Veloce) that I modded up to 350hp for 2022 BRZ and in lightweight sports car heaven.

    Would you recommend the auto transmission version? I love this car but I don't know how to drive a manual

    • @uNsT0p4b1e
      @uNsT0p4b1e Год назад

      It's not as much of a fun, pure drivers car in the manual...but even in the automatic it's a lightweight, RWD, NA car with a very low center of gravity.
      I'm getting mine as an automatic because it's my only car and I live in a very urban area. People I've talked to say the Sport mode in the automatic is great and the paddle shifters are still fun
      Also in the automatic you get some tech perks like automatic high beams, automatic reverse breaking, and other Subaru Starlink features
      The auto also has better MPG because it has lower rpms at high cruising speeds

    • @HonestCarReviews
      @HonestCarReviews  Год назад

      What will you use it for? Nukin did a pretty good summary, if you will use it daily where you need to change gear a lot, manual might not be the one for you, although it is the one I would pick if I had it as a second car

    • @TrojanRabbit521
      @TrojanRabbit521 Год назад

      Back in late 80’s I bought a manual with 0 experience. A month later I could and so can you. Stick shifts are easier now with hill hold and no longer have to ride the clutch in traffic jams.

    If money and allocation is not a factor, which one of the three gr lineup (supra, 86, yaris) would you take?

    • @lostwabbit
      @lostwabbit Год назад +2

      Yaris is the answer... The amount of versatility a rally homologation brings to the table is unparalleled, even if it looks like 💩

    • @ak740_
      @ak740_ Год назад +3

      Yaris is the smart answer because of practicality. But I don’t care about practicality so I’ll take the 86

    • @HonestCarReviews
      @HonestCarReviews  Год назад +1

      Super difficult question! To be fair, each one is distinctly different. Will test the updated Supra manual soon and hopefully then can I give a better answer, but the GR86 does stand out with the non turbo approach

    • @thegamersgalaxy2855
      @thegamersgalaxy2855 Год назад

      😂 Is that intended to be a serious question🥴 …the other two vehicles are not even in the Supra league. In ANYTHING🤨

    • @HonestCarReviews
      @HonestCarReviews  Год назад

      @@thegamersgalaxy2855 very serious question I think. Some people prioritize lightweight easily accessible driving fun in a car that doesn't break the bank. The GR86 and GR Yaris are close to 30 000 euro cheaper, or close to 75 % more expensive, and that is a huge consideration
