I just want the rear defuser at the bottom for my gen one @2:13 and no it's to let the air out of the rear bumper because it acts like a parachute. And other from that I like my gen 1 rallye better. Anyone know.of how to get this part in Australia let me know

The Chinese are not as experienced in driving dynamics, chassis and suspension set up, and these cars are mostly first gens, i think that in 5 to 10 years legacy car makers have no way to compete since already the only advantage they have is the driving dynamics. the rest are mostly over the air updates and lack of data on these new platforms and systems.

You are wrong, that car just like Lynk & Co, well same as Polestar and Volvo, are both designed and developed in Gothenburg, Sweden. It is only mass produced in China but soon in Europe.
what are you talking about? Polestar is a complete different car than volvo. They are owned by the same Geely but its still huge difference. Same with lynk and zeeker. Every brand got their differences. They look and feels different too. Just because they are owned by Geely does not mean they are the same cars.

There are lots of small things which add up to be a complete different car. Try zeekr X and then try polestar, then volvo xc40. Its mega huge of a difference of cars in so many ways.

Not impossible I think, but if you want more sound, the EU spec exhaust is still plenty loud

I have this car and I'm very happy with it. The software has many annoyances but there's a big update coming in 2 weeks which will hopefully address all or most of these. It's a great car to drive both in the city and for long trips.

The 982 (718) interior is still based on the 991.2 (911) interior, so in that sense it's a bit dated yes.. But I prefer that interior over the newer more digital 992 interior.. To me the 991.2 and 982 interior is the perfect mix between oldskool analog (dails and buttons) and modern digital gadgets (PCM 4.0 and Carplay).. It's peak Porsche interior imho.. The 992 is a step back in sportscar feel and ergonomics.. More modern is not automatically better..
I agree in many cases with your conclusion. However, what I mean about the design, which might not have come across clearly in the video, is that the design looks almost brutalist. Compared with the Lotus Emira, or Alpine A110 (both have huge screens, and the A110 design of the air vents when closed is not my cup of tea), it is not as neat, tight. The Cayman has an air of 90s-2000s shape and design in the interior

Agree with this. 991.2 interior is what you want - binary buttons, analogue gauges and two non-intrusive digital screens. 992 interior is awful - could be from anything from a Benz to a Hyundai.

Cost to change in UK for my 2021 7000mile Gen1 to a new Gen2 is crazy. (£20K with trade in) G1 is plenty good enough and still a brilliant drive in it's own right. Toyota got greedy

@@HonestCarReviews am just keeping my Gen 1. Eve e after 3.5 years it’s still an outstanding drive. I think about a trip to Litchfield for a mild powerr tune and the Nitron suspension. But then every time I do use the GR and have a spirited drive over Exmoor or Dartmoor, it’s all the car it needs to be and just doesn’t feel lacking. I am not falling for “new improved” “washes whiter” marketing
@@gaycha6589 its more than just a few parts, but unfortunately, they are probably not noticeable for the average buyer. If you are a hobby rally driver or a track rat, then very possibly. Here are some awesome highlights that are expensive to implement. Changed material for the pistons. Adding spot welds and adhesive glue. Finely tuning the diffs. Improved cooling for the diffs and gearbox. What is the cost of doing this yourself? R&D, time, etc. I could go on but the amount of changes are nothing to laugh about. Add inflation on top of that as well

As a customer I do understand all that has been done under the hood etc. my point is that the sum of the parts do not justify new list prices nor the cost to trade in for very narrow incremental gains from Gen 1-2. Gen 1 is more than good enough. I am fortunate that the GR is third car. I also run 991.2 CS which again, I have declined offers from dealer to upgrade to 992. Same logic, the 991 is more than good enough. In fact it’s better as the 992 is just too big on the road, offsetting it’s superior front end. TLDR. It’s hard to get max out of these cars on UK roads. Therefore the older versions often offer better value. I don’t do track days these days.
I have this car for two years. The Yamaha system is good. You can adjust the system.
Even though I adjusted it through the equalizer, I got some very noticeable resonance in the lower frequencies
I agree, I have the car also. Turn off the surround sound and it's quite good. Not as good as Tesla or my last Audi but still quite good.
In my first KIA stinger, the audio system didn’t sound good, you could max out the volume and it was ok. On the 2nd car, it was great but, turning on surround sound didn’t sound good. My buddy’s car came back from service sounding better, when we inquired, they mentioned they had to disable a feature that limited the system so people test driving the cars wouldn’t damage the speakers. Sounds like how my e-tron didn’t do so well with using that option with its B&O system, as suggested, don’t use it.

The 2025 version has resolved some of the issues mentioned here and as far as Polestar 4, while I love the looks, it lacks the power, HUD and air suspension the 001 has and sells for a higher price. Im disappointed with the power from the Polestar 4, knowing it is supposed to be a performance company, especially knowing this car shares the same platform and you can get higher performing motors on it. I think many people will choose the Zeekr 001 over the Polestar 4.

I hope that in new 2024 Zeekr 001 have improve all negative side about software u sad. For sure, I know that sound sistem is improve because now u have 26 speaker in car and better sound sistem from yamaha. Can u in Sweden import Zeekr 2024 with 95 kWh battery? Can u do homologation process and what would be all cost for registration off new Chinese version 2024? U have in Belarusia New 2024 Zeekr 001 for 38000 euros for example. Maybe also in baltic states like Lithuania, Latvia or Estonia. Same in Ukraine, but now is risk to go there. Pls, can u find that info how much would be cost to import new 2024 Zeekr 001 about 38-39k € for a car + homologation, taxes and registration. Good info from this video. Keep going! Cheers!

Yeah, the seats (front and back), motors, battery, i think the suspension too are all the same. But it's not "Polestar 4 components". You should say the opposite, Polestar is using ZEEKR components since this car came out roughly 2 years before the Polestar 4. And in general they are part of the same parent company - GEELY.
It’s Volvo’s electric platform being used across brands under the Geely umbrella. Geely was using Volvo’s platform to develop vehicles for Lynk and Co, the 001 and X, from my understanding , were originally meant for Lynk and Co but, they used them to start an all electric brand, Zeekr. A few days ago at the Paris Auto Show, the sedan version of the X launched as Lynk and CO’s electric car. It’s just the same platform sharing as the legacy manufacturers, each brand has their own interior/exterior design using similar underpinnings and some interior bits.

"Almost 3 seats at the rear" is far from true. There only 2 places with seatbelts and they are for short people. I've tried to sit there and with my 186 cm was miracly had place for my legs, bo not for my head (roof is very low at the back). I am happy, that eco tax in Poland comes in 2025, so I was able to get mine for eqivalent of 50k EUR. I've red, that cos of taxes in Prance price eceed 110k EUR :(
Minor correction at 2:20. You said previously it was 3.8L, but the 981 GTS was actually a 3.4L.
This is more of a documentary than a review, it would have been nice to see you actually drive the SVR like it's intended to be driven, with enthusiasm.

Cool review of the EU Verion! The Dark Horse Spoiler is also standard for EU Versions. It is just that the first orders were orders which were prebuilt before orders offiicially opened back in February (probably some certification issue at first or something). Customers being delivered now have the normal DH Spoiler as advertised in Ford's marketing material. Waiting for mine which should arrive by end of October.

It's an amazing car for sure. But here in Denmark the price went from about 73.000euro to 100.000euro (for the base models). The improments does not justify the price.. So I will keep my gen 1 for sure. ;)

From what I've seen, the Dark Horse made its first appearance in Australia and the owner confirmed that his was also short of 500HP at 493.
Manual or automatic? Different drive train losses could make up the difference?
yes, kind of correct, it has been downsized in HP in Australia to 486hp due to Australian regulations. But you can mod it to increase the horse power which is what i am doing.

I just received mine month a go in Sweden ,beautiful car and the sound incredible specially with Tremec gear box . One problem to own this car you need to pay 2800dollar for tax every year . I have no single comment , I love it ,about the power I think it’s 500 hp they just fool us 😅, you mention M3 I can tell you this car handling better on my opinion ,,, nice review anyway

@@HonestCarReviews the HP's are mentioned on your order/invoice. In Belgium it is 453hp, in the US it is 500. Why, because there is a partikel filter, at least in Belgium, installed. Which reduces hp and CO2, according to european regulations.
@@HonestCarReviews it would be 500hp at the crank, not at the wheels. all car manufacturers give the horse power at the crank. if you dyno it, the horse power will less, maybe 440hp? but you can do some mods to it to increase the horse power.
@@PhilippeDeBaveye i left the car up I find only particular filter in both side and I just removed the resonator with H-pipe her in Sweden it’s written 535 but I not believe it, they just don’t want us to buy them that’s why it’s cost 90k usd and almost 3000 dollars for traffic fees every year . Thanks for your information. The official Swedish Ford site states that it has the Torsen as standard (in the performance pack, although I cant spec it out in the car builder...), so that's why I included it. Now I am confused what is right. But yeah you are right about the hp numbers. Still less hp than the previous European versions unfortunately
@@HonestCarReviews Actually, you are right, it comes with a Torsen differential as per every official Ford website in Europe, I apologize for the misinformation, my bad. I had no idea that Ford was able to keep it for the Euro version, as they did not for the Mach 1. That is a big plus for the Dark Horse! Seats are so called "race-tex" material which is actually vinyl. Same as Toyota's "soft-tex" vinyl seats. Porsche's material savings cost for seats is circa 72% over actual leather. This to me is a deal breaker, vinyl seats truly laughable !
Is the quality of the race tex bad? Does it hold up? If it does over time then I dont have much bad to say about it

Here are some awesome highlights that are expensive to implement. Changed material for the pistons. Adding spot welds and adhesive glue. Finely tuning the diffs. Improved cooling for the diffs and gearbox. I could go on but the amount of changes are nothing to laugh about
Automatics are for people who can’t use a manual properly.
Would you rather drive a manual in bumper to bumper traffic commutes?
It may be able to handle more power when modified. The gr yaris has such an easy to tune motor
