The "hold" on the buttons is intentional and a SAFETY feature. Say a cargo or a piece of something HIT the switch by accident - while traveling over rough roads or bumps - you would be surprised how things can move about just by random shaking or movement. NOTHING would happen - because the switches require a HOLD.
@@faheemabbas3965 No we are getting an inline 4 turbo gas hybrid. He said they had the inline 4 turbo diesel hybrid. I would love to have Toyota's diesel hybrid. They'll never bring it to America
So, the 1958 version vill not come to Sweden/Europe? The downscaled version they get in US but with round headlight? I really like the round headlight ...
It is built for the off road guys. They have fysical power enough to lift the hood, by the rare occasions this is required. The slow hydraulic tail gate lift is really waste of time for these guys. A manual split tail gate as in the 80-100-200 series would have been more correct - and much more loyal to the heritage...
@@edvardfaleide5207 That only reinforces my statement... if they've made so many upgrades (and trims that won't be used often off road, like the luxury trim), why not spec up and add hydraulic struts on the hood? I mean, they add a panoramic roof, hydraulic trunk, etc., one would think a hydraulic hood would be part of that upgrade list 🤷♂️
The Land Cruiser seems to go the same route Land Rover went with the new Defender. More refinement, tech and so on. Off course for the die hards, some things might not be ideal. But I also think Toyota had to go this way to make it a car that feels like it is built in this decade. The earlier did not, at least no with regards to on road worthiness, quiteness and so on, which did diminish the market of who wanted buy it, even though it has been monumentally successful in certain markets. it has a broader appeal now and I hope it doesent loose what made the old land cuisers a Land cruiser. They did nail the looks though, looks incredible. Really looking forward to test it
What do you guys think of this looking exactly like a 2008 Nissan Xterra? If Nissan had paid enough attention to their Xterra, this is what the modern one would loo like. It seems Toyota rebadged the design of the Nissan Xterra and call it the new Land Cruiser.
1 inch lower than a 4Runner-A 4 cylinder turbo with a battery and no split tail gate come on Toyota!!! the battery and turbo will not last more then 12 years before they will have to be replaced, so much for saving your money on better fuel economy
@@sha6mmHow is it ready to go overland while the Land Cruiser somehow isn’t? Yes to ground clearance, but the first part of your argument seems faulty.
It really does have a FJ look at the front..luv it, will buy it in this color
Only available in the firsr edition though so you get the decals also
How did you get access to the LC with only 2k subs?
Debbie downer…
Really Love that round headlights look ❤
Should have dual exhaust like the toyota tacoma trd pro
Does it have heated rear seats?

I wish we were getting that Toyota Land Cruiser in America. I would buy that 100%. Thank you 👍

We are. My name is on a list at my local Toyota dealer!! Q1 2024!
It is not hybrid?
Not this one and from what i have heard no hybrid in Europe for now
So, the 1958 version vill not come to Sweden/Europe? The downscaled version they get in US but with round headlight? I really like the round headlight ...
It will, all three versions, but Western Europe will only get the diesel engine.
Round headlights only with the first edition!
I will wait until after one year to see how that little engine holds up and for those Dealer Markups $$$ ...lol
It will be 25k less than previous Land Cruisers! 1958 55k, Land Cruiser $65k, and First Edition will start at 70k.
Any idea on the Lexus version?
are you assuming? or are you claiming to know the prices?
My Toyota dealer stated that pricing hadn’t been released yet.
Very good
Beautiful machine, olso check the GX
👏🏻
With all of these incredible new upgrades, there's no hydraulic hood lift?? 🤦♂
That's for Lexus, too expensive for Toyota. Lol.

Toyota, stop fking about and get this car on sale. I want to place my order.
Nope. Land Cruiser is supposed to be tried and true. Give us a V6 option, no turbo, no hybrid
4 cylinder diesel seems pretty tried and true? If I´m not mistaken it is the same engine as in the Hilux

Turbo will last for more than 12 years. Its a cheap battery which you can replace down the line and give a new life to your vehicle.
