Also the only lenses I possess at the moment are 50mm, 70-300 and 18-55. Which would you recommend I use for a quality time lapse or does it even matter? Again I am student and this is an assignment. Thanks so much.
Hi, unfortunately I’ve never used the r5c so I really don’t know how the menu is laid out. From what I’ve seen online the menu system is a lot different. Sorry I couldn’t be more helpful.
@@RPMusicStudios OK… But that seems pretty trivial to what people should be doing in most cases, which is increasing the F stop to make it easier to slow down the shutter speed with whatever and D they have. I’m just nitpicking though. Good video.
Hi I have an assignment where I have to do a time lapse in photo mode. But submit as a video, all using Light Room. Is this even possible. I was told to use auto mode as the exposure will have to change because of the sunrise. I assume auto is A+, but when put into that mode, the time lapse does not work. Hope this makes sense. I do have an R5 as well.
Hi. I’ve never tried A+ mode but if doesn’t work for Timelapse I suggest using AV mode. The camera will keep your aperture (f-stop) at what you set it but all other parameters will be auto. Lightroom is where you will edit photos to give them a style but you will need to export photos and put them into a video editing app. Hope this helps
Im watching this with 65” tv, photomode looks sharper and better..
Most definitely. There is way much more information you can use. The movie mode is good for people that want an easy way to do it.
Is it possible to use stills mode and have auto exposure on? I would like to leave my R5 to balcony over night so there would be sunset and sunrise :)
@@m11kan I think so. The issue is the iso is stepped so it might look like a flash here and there.

I would use the 18-55 so you can frame the shot wide(18) or tighter (55).
Hello, thanks for the video. I have the canon r5c but I can't find the timelapse option, like on the R5. Can you help me ?

7:12 Why would you be shooting at f2.8?
Honestly I don’t remember. Maybe I was trying to get forefront blur in the grass.

The thing im stumped on is how to stop the unlimited time lapse.
Unfortunately the only way I’ve found is to turn the camera off. It’s a very strange thing that canon doesn’t have a better way.
