      I was at the band stand in Kap Park,, also at the Uke Festivals. So glad i lived on Oahu.. worked in the same block art Kamaka factory, Fell in love with the uke,

      I first saw his band Pure Heart in 1999 at a street festival in Honolulu. Seen him about a dozen times since.

      I've been to a few of his concerts when he comes to Austin. Jake stayed afterwards to meet his fans and sign CD'S and other merchandise. Yes, he is a nice guy.

    I saw him in Seattle, WA.. 6 years ago,, the hall was packed and I was hypnotized.. Wonderful night. This version is 8 minutes.. lost in time.

    The finest violinists can make their one instrument sound like 20 all playing together. Seems like this phenomenon is now is now also possible on the ukulele. Bravo sir.

    Probably 20 years ago, Jake played at an outdoor summer concert series in Chattanooga. A lot of folks weren't paying attention, until he played the Star Spangles Banner. It got super quiet and one by one everyone stood up to see him and listen. They were his for the rest of the evening.

      bronxbudget he was great but for the first four minutes it seemed like he was just showing off. I could understand people not liking this as much. This is like some tommy Emmanuel shit which has its place but like sometimes you just wanna hear the song itself. But great performance tho not gonna lie

    We just saw Jake for the second time last night... Wow! What an incredible show! I'd be hard-pressed to think of a more talented musician. As talented, yes, but more?! It would be tough. His musicianship is great and his shows are fun. Everyone should try to see him live at least once in their lifetime!

    An artist has to have a vision (hear it in their head) of what they and their instrument are capable of doing together...and then they must practice and work hard to realize that vision. This is a wonderful example of that process...very skillful and engaging...well done! As far as people who give thumbs down, I figure it's none of my business but I do look forward to the day when some musician, song and performance get a thumbs up from every single person in the world...that will be a wondrous thing...

    My musical mind climaxed and was blown at the same time! Holy freaking goosebumps BadMan on the Uke! I thought the strawberry fields version video was too much! This is almost on a different level from that 1! Thank you eternally for this Jake! I can't wait to show my Grandpa this since he was the 1 to introduce me to this man in the first place!

    If you ever get a chance to see him live, make it happen. One of the best shows I've ever seen. Absolutely amazing. He is the Tommy Emanuel of the ukulele.

      Disagee.......(and disliked). I like him as an artist and have followed him for years but this ‘interpretation’ of the song is more about showing off, than art. It was painful to watch. His other versions of the beautiful song he loves so much, are done better and purer.

    Arrr, love how he gives imo the most talented person from The Beatles a mention ,,, George was a huge ukulele fan , but more banjolele,,, i know George formbys "1927 Ludwig crown " which he paid a lot of money for is still at his family home ..... Jake is amazing

    I saw him at a High end furniture store, Inspiration Furniture, in Vancouver, B.C. I was working in the building and came down to see him at about 3pm. He was about a 45 minute concert.

    Killer version. I saw Jake about 4 years ago and the night was magical; he's an incredible entertainer. And with his interactions with the audience - he seems like a great human being to boot.
    I like the Peterson strobe clip-on tuner he's using. I have one. And nothing I play that it clips on sounds like it's from the same planet as this : \
