Donna, I knew you would start sewing up the fabric right away. A friend was visiting me, and I told her you would be sewing that fabric right away. Well done, Donna. Keep sewing.
I love the outfit Mrs. Donna! The inside lining areas are gorgeous! You are such a fast sewist! I strive to be like you someday. Looking forward to the next video! 😀
Donna, you did it again. That outfit looks great. It is well put together. I love watching your channel and look forward to each week to see what you created.
Hi Ms. Donna, love this outfit and love your Mimi G coat! I’ve lost my sewjo but slowly making my way back, trying to catch up on my favorite vloggers. I’m particularly inspired by the camouflage outfit.
@carri9072 Welcome back! It definitely happens. Taking breaks helps me a lot. Also, making fun things like bowl cozies & pencil cases in between garment sewing helps me. I'm glad you were inspired🫠
@morlinapinney8925 The tan camouflage fabric is called Rip Stop. To me, it's in the twill family. It is very nice to use in place of denim or a lightweight canvas
Donna, I really love the jacket and the skirt. The contrast on the facings, cuffs and inside pockets are so, so nice. You should be proud it’s an amazing outfit. I have my fingers crossed that you find more fabric to get a pair of pants to wear with your jacket. Again this is a beautiful make. ❤❤❤
@@jeanmurray5539 Thank you! I do like the way it came out. My everyday closing is very classic. It's nice to have the fun pieces. I'll soon find out if I can get more fabric 🤷🏽♀️
@@morlinapinney8925 The fabric feels like a cotton twill. I will be going to the store next week. I'll get the actual name. My apology for the late response. I had planned to go before now.
Where do you buy your fabrics from? I used to make my clothes many years ago, and would like to start again. However, we don’t have many dress fabric stores anymore.
@floridastitcher1 I buy from my local store Fabric Hut. They do have an online site. They've been around for years. Fabric Hut is the only one left aside from JoAnn, (Hobby Lobby & Walmart). We do have a few Sew & Vac stores that sell cotton fabrics.
The jacket looks amazing! I love the touch of leopard 😊 Since it's kind of oversized, I was wondering if you made your usual big-4 size or of you sized down? It looks like the perfect boxy fit on you. I'd love to try it out on me, but a bit worried about sizing. Also, the length looks just right on you as well. Dud you alter that at all? Thank you so much for sharing ❤
@downtoearthsewing I definitely sized down. My average size using the Big 4 patterns is a 12. For this jacket, I made the XS (6/8). I did not make any changes to the length. As you can see, the sleeves are a little long
@rhondathomas6773 Oh, how sweet🫠. One thing I can tell you is that the more you do it, the better your skills will get. Don't rush anything; choose patterns that will teach you the basics. The rest will come. You may, of course, ask me anything via email. I will do my best to help. One thing that is a must - do it with joy!
@@donnabrown0130 Thank You so much, the most important thing I want to learn the most is how to make a jumpsuit. I continue messing up somehow, I stopped trying.
