it is very surgical and not ruining the waveform, so I would say well done to Kirchoff. Much easier than using maybe a lot of plugins with triggering etc. As this does it for you in a very good way. Thanks Mr Heron
My favorite channel is back! Kirchhoff eq is the reason of me didn't buy split eq. Crazy transparent processing, crazy natural sounding boost with the slope adjustment and the dynamic section make it the best multiband compressor and transient designer in the market without crossover filters or invasive processing.
Although it isn't as flexible in terms of shape design, the FabFilter ProMB can do the separate band specific detection and you have some of the other benefits in it's unique compressor controls.
FabFilter ProMB spoils the original signal! For this reason, I refused it. It cannot be used in Mastering. If you just create 3-4 bands (but don’t even include them), then the original sound is already changed.! This is not acceptable for high-quality instruments for Mastering. Even Ozone 9 is dynamic at certain settings (inside the plug-in) - as a result it sounds "transparent" and does not spoil the original sound. I carefully select only those plug-ins - which never spoil the original signal.
I have been using ghost trigger for sidechaining precisely :] ofc you can use duplicate track and process it to just play snare hits etc 👌. Then use that duplicate as sidechain signal. Ghost trigger It is basically a sample or instrument which has no audio output selected so there is no volume but signal is there. Kirchhoff seems like great tool to easen up this process . This video is gold👌🔥
hi thanks for the video. i just got this from plugin alliance and i cant load the presets into cubase(this is an ongoing issue with some P.A stuff .. how did you (or did you 0 get around this ? thanks T
hey thanks for the video. it's very informative, would love to see some of your eq vids in the future. I'm using TDR Nova eq, have you tried it? It's a dynamic eq also.
Actually the only other EQ that - as far as I know - can do that is Melda MAutodynamic EQ, but with a less pleasing interface. And Fabfilter Pro-MB, but you have to combine it with an EQ.
This reminds me more of the F6 then the pro Q3 , you don't think you can solve some of these problems with the F6 ? buying another EQ plugin especially at this price is not the most desirable thing to do Although it does look very well rounded and full of features that are new. Also have you checked out split EQ by eventide ? if so what do you think.
Kirchoff goes way beyond what F6 can do on multiple levels. But it really depends what you need. Maybe F6 does everything you need. I've done a video on Split EQ, I can't mix without it now. It's very different from dynamic EQs.
@@heronislandstudio8054 cool Ill have to get Split EQ and Kirchoff this is an expensive hobby lol no rush though , maybe we don't have to buy analog anymore but hundreds of plugins add up !!! thanks for responding back !
Great insight sir, I just hope for the moment when they will implement the missing features the competition has: - Static match eq (Pro Q3), dynamic match eq (Nova); - Visualization of conflicting frequencies (Pro Q3); - Switch to change low end behavior and phase mode for all instances at once (Equilibrium).
This is the best video I've ever seen about this EQ, because here the author explains some of the non-obvious possibilities of this one. Thanks!
Cheers!

Great video, I'm glad to see you posting again. It's really difficult to find content of this quality, I'd love to see some more Jazz mixing!
Thanks, I've got some jazz mixing things coming up as soon as I can find the time to do them.
@@heronislandstudio8054 that's great to hear, I'm looking forwards to it!

Very nice video, useful tips!
Hi there great video. Does the Kirchhoff do frequency unmasking?
hi
thanks for the video.

I haven't had that problem in Cubase with any PA stuff. Sorry I can't help.
I really don’t understand the purpose of the look ahead feature and how to implement it. Can you please help? Thank you!
If it could track the fundamental of a signal vs. keeping the frequency setting in one spot, it would be unbeatable!

Cheers! Yes Nova is a good EQ for sure.
how do you get the eq to size small like that, i dont know how to make the eq smaller, so it doesnt take up my whole screen....

and i'll have to see your split EQ Vid
@@heronislandstudio8054 meanwhile I do have both physions
I'm pretty sure that frequency 2 in Cubase would be capable of dealing with that problem its a dynamic by selection with 8 side chain inputs.
Great plugin, invisible....Thank you! Like and subscribe )))

hello, I didn't know about static and dynamic matching in those plugins, can you elaborate?
@@artemi-music It analyses a sound source and matches the curve to match the one from the reference, static or dynamic
