    Tanya shows how she wraps her toddler in a simple Rucksack with either knot at the shoulder (called Rucksack Tied at Shoulder or Rucksack TAS) or with a Candy Cane Chestbelt (CCCB) which is a pretty way to finish the carry off that can relieve shoulder pressure from rucksack straps. This is a simple back carry that can be done with a short wrap. From Mid Island Babywearers and Wrap Your Baby.

    You are the best! This is my favorite Ruck video and favorite back carry! Your video is the one that got my husband to decide he would give it a try and he became a fan because you made it so easy and simple! Thank you!! ♥️

    Safety note: the shoulder straps really should be tied together somehow to prevent unintentional slipping. Slipping off the shoulders can happen so fast, so I thought it was worth mentioning even though this is the first comment in maybe a year lol. This is a lovely video otherwise; thank you to the creator.

      I'm glad you liked it! If you feel like the straps might slip, you can certainly do the chestbelt shown in the video but for most people it is actually totally safe to have it tied at the shoulder without tying the straps together. It's a very common way to back wrap a baby - with rucksack straps, we call it. But always trust your mom instincts!

    I believe the orange one she uses is Ellevill Zara Curry, and the green one is Kokadi Mother Nature.

    I see comments saying their moby wrap is stretchy... 🤔 mines not... would I be able to do this with what I have?

    • @WrapYourBaby
      @WrapYourBaby  3 года назад

      Moby wrap is categorized as a "stretchy wrap" even if it doesn't seem to have much stretch, Alyssa. Stretchy wraps are generally made from knit jersey material, often feel like a tshirt, and aren't made to be supportive enough to be used in a single layer over baby or in back carries. The kind of wrap you can use for this carry and others I teach is called a "woven wrap." All of the wraps in my store at wrapyourbaby.com are woven wraps. I hope this is clear and helpful!

    I am 35 weeks pregnant, had 3 miscariages, and having a 2 year old son....Somehowever I feel nervous to put him on my back by myself, I mean my husband does help me, but I want to do it myself, how do I overcome this?

    Loved the video! Should the fabric be non stretch or stretch like for example a Moby wrap? I have a Moby so wondering if I can use it for this! TY!

      Stretchy wraps shouldn't be used for back carries. Best of luck!

    I have only ever front wrapped with a boba and moby wrap however I know these are not suitable for back carry . My question is what wrap would you recommend for a 13 month old about 24 pounds for back carry and hot summer environment ? ( also I need more fabric because I am a bit heavy )

    • @WrapYourBaby
      @WrapYourBaby  3 года назад

      I think that a Girasol wrap in a diamond weave or honeycomb weave (Girasol has different weaves) will be both supportive and not too hot for Summer. It will be MUCH lighter/airier than Boba and Moby for sure. And comfortable with a heavy toddler in a back carry. I just got some of my exclusives in stock so you can check them out here and let me know if you have any questions: wrapyourbaby.com/product-category/wraps-by-brand/girasol/

    • @WrapYourBaby
      @WrapYourBaby  3 года назад

      Oh, regarding sizing, you can actually use a shorter wrap (even if you are bigger) and that will be cooler in Summer because you'll have fewer layers around the both of you. With your Boba or Moby you need 3 layers to keep it secure but with a Girasol you can do one or two layer carries.
      So you can find your base size wrap (meaning the size you need for full length carries) by clicking on the sizing tab when looking at any of my wraps. But you can email me if you want to get more help with knowing how you can go shorter and what carries you could do with a shorter wrap: diana@wrapyourbaby.com

    I have a 7 month old. Can I use any type of fabric, I have one that is like the stretchy one as moby wraps.

    • @WrapYourBaby
      @WrapYourBaby  4 года назад +1

      Stretchy wraps are not tested for back carries and could be unsafe, especially since this carry only has one layer over your baby and they could lean out of it. For back carries, get a woven wrap like the ones I sell at wrapyourbaby.com Hope this helps, Veronica! Back carries definitely make life easier!

    What size wrap would I use in relation to my base size please? X

    • @WrapYourBaby
      @WrapYourBaby  4 года назад +1

      You can do Rucksack Tied at Shoulder with a wrap 3 or 4 sizes smaller than your base. If you want to do the candycane chestbelt, use a wrap 2 or 3 sizes smaller than your base size.

    예쁜점은 인정한다 근데 단점은 복잡하고 시간이 걸리고 혹시나 아기가 떨어질까봐 걱정된다 신속하고 빠르게 그리고 아기가 편안해하는지 이것이 제일 중요한것같다 한국전통스타일 포대기가 난 훨씬 실용적이다! 생각한다

      Each culture is accustomed to their own carriers so each is likely to be convenient for the people of that culture :) Now that so many cultures are connected on the internet we can try out different styles and choose which is more convenient for each of us! Thank you for your comment.

      @@rachelo8294 no no. White women have ALWAYS had prams. Silver Cross has actually been around since the Middle Ages in case you didn’t know... women working the fields would park their kids up in prams.
