Anyway, finally fucking done with this video, I hope this helps anyone that wants to get into drums since they're real fucking fun to play.

i got an ekit about 4 years ago for $500 then got a double kick for it. i got a rock band 3 controller that attaches to the midi port and usb to either a playstation 3, 4, 5, pc and works very well just have to map it and adjust the sensitvity
Can I use PS3 rock band dongle and drum set for PS4?
I’ve got the alesis nitro and CL did recognise the kit in the first setup but after a restart the game won’t register any hits. The drums are visible in the settings but I can’t map any of the pads. Did any of you guys experience this?

Does that mean they have yet to implement drum support?
Drums have been in the game for over a year now, lol, you just need the ptb. Go the CH discord, then to the ptb opt in channel and react to the message there, more channels will show up telling you how to access it.
I have a alesis turbo kit which I am trying to use , it shows up that it’s detected in the controller settings, but doesn’t seem to register any hits, seem to have to same issue in other DAW apps to, has anyone experienced the same thing?

Using the WT kit, apparently the game detects my guitar hero 4 ps3 controller but on the input device tab nothing shows up, what im I supposed to do?
Input Device is only for ekits. If you're using a game kit, you map it as a controller.
I also got a problem with the usb cable. I connect it and everything goes perfectly fine and I play half the song and my nitro disconnects me. I have tried 2 different cables and they both disconnect halfway through songs. Would you advise getting a MIDI usb cable instead?
Can a RB2 kick pedal work with RB1 drums? I'm looking around and am interested in drums for CH but don't want to invest in an e-kit until I'm sure it's something I'm genuinely interested in.

is the ion drum rocker compatible with clone hero??? for some reason clone hero is not recognizing it as a controller, is there anything I need to do?

I want to get a drum set for 360, but not specifically for clone hero. I think I should get the WoR kit, what do you think I should get
WoR kit is definitely better than the WT kit, though it's usually a bit more expensive.
My computer's won't run the software properly so I just watch the videos. If anyone else has the same problem they can do that. There shouldn't be anything wrong my computer is cuz they're pretty high-end
I scrubbed straight through to the end of the video for the Alesis Nitro mesh kit which is what I have, so I apologize if I skipped over details that answered this question...
Do you know why my Clone Hero seems inconsistent with detecting my kit? Some times when I plug it in it will not detect any hits from anywhere. Yet, some times when I unplug it and plug it back in it seems to work again. Another issue I ran across is that while scrolling quickly through my songs by rolling my blue pad, my game just spontaneously decided not to detect my hits anymore. I’m not really sure what is causing this.
Nevermind. It was apparently the usb to midi cable I was using. All is well once I got a different one.
Nevermind again.... even with the new cable it still disconnects...

@@fxjitaz1811 I did in fact, but your mileage may vary. What fixed it for me was to stop using USB 3 ports. I couldn’t tell you why, but that is what fixed it. My laptop has nothing but USB 3 (has the little blue indicator inside the port hole). I instead plugged in a USB hub that has USB 2.0 ports into my laptop and then plugged my drums into the hub, and it works fine. I confirmed it further by plugging my drums into the USB on my laptop cooling pad which also has 2.0 ports, and it still works fine.
one question: If I get a drum set without the "brain", can I hard wired another pcb to use it on pc? (like the brook ps4 pcb)
If you're talking about GH brains, they should all WT brains and WoR brains should be interchangeable with their respective drum sets. As for a whole new pcb, I've no idea.

THE PS3 DONGLE! I remember that now and making fun of my friend for getting RB for PS3. Xbox 360 connected natively and ran the game better. Glad I found some old Beatles drums up in my attic along with the RB Madcatz wireless adapter. Saved about 500 buck on finding it all plus cymbals and im ready to play!
My 360 GH WOR Drum kit is connected on my PC, but im not getting an option in Clone Hero to select drums in profile like you did with your Nitro :(
That's only if you're using an E-Kit or another Midi device, the WoR kit is recognized as a controller, so just go to controls and press assign controller.
Oh wait, I get what you mean now. If drums aren't showing up in controller options that's cus you're not on the public test build. Drums are currently still in testing so you need access to the PTB.
I have the 360 Beatles rock band drums, Is there a way to connect them to my laptop with a wire/ cable? Or do I need the Xbox Bluetooth adapter thingy?
All wireless 360 controllers need the receiver. Also 360 controllers aren't bluetooth, they're RF, otherwise you'd be able to use any bluetooth dongle to connect them.

Hey I've got the GH WT drums and have the latest version of CH, my drums are connected to the PC with the original WT drum USB receiver, however in CH when I go to MIDI Settings and Input Device, it doesn't show up. Any idea why? If I go to controllers under the CH launcher it shows up as Guitar Hero4 for PS3 etc and when I hit the drum pads I see the buttons lighting up but it's just not being detected in CH for some reason.
It's not recognized as a MIDI device because it's being recognized as a controller. You just assign and map it like you would with a guitar.

How would I adjust the sensitivity of the drums? I have a 360 rockband set, and I need to hit the pads quite hard for them to work.
You can't really make a stock kit more sensitive. You have to either replace the pads if you can find any spares, or get a new kit.
My Band hero drums work on GHWT but not on clone hero when I connect via Wiitarthing. CH detects that the drums are there but none of the pads work. I take the wiimote out of the drums and I can use that. Any help?
Ask in the CH discord, I'm not familiar with wiitarthing.

Hi, It does not let me change the controller to drums. It only shows the 5 fret guitar and the six. I have the band hero drum kit connected to a wireless adapter. It is any way I can fix that? Thx.
You need the ptb build, you can get it from the clone hero discord.

I have a alesis nitro mesh, I got the midi out cord and plugged in from my drums to my laptop and drums are not coming up as a playable instrument. Am I missing something? I have 23.2.2
You have to be on the Public Test Build. Go on to the Clone Hero Discord and go in to the PTB Opt In channel, react to the message, and there'll be some new channels that pop up explaining how to get the build.
@@jloe01 thanks man, I got it all figured out except now for some reason the game is not recognizing the drums. It only says MIDI out when I choose drum build and none of the pads work
@@jloe01 sorry it says MIDI USB but doesn't say alesis kit on the game, and then the game says no controller connected, and doesn't recognize anything as being hit for the mapping. I'm not sure if I have missed a step

I also advise against the turbo. The pedal hardware is not as good as the Alesis nitro. I broke both pedals of the turbo within 3 months 😂 I bought the nitro after returning the turbo and haven’t had a single issue for 6 months.

Just plug it in and it should be usable straight away. Just make sure you're on the PTB and you switch your controller type from guitar to drums.

The actual USB-B goes into your drum module, the USB A goes into your PC, unless you just for some reason don't have a single USB port on your PC.

Why do PS3 Rock Band drums need a dongle if they connect via usb?
Only RB1 drums are wired, RB2 onward should all be wireless.

As someone who started using an E kit for rockband I cant reccomend it enough, for many reasons but especially the bounce. Rockband drumkits have an absolutely pathetic amount of bounce, like, it almost feels like they intentionally designed it to be less bouncy than the average surface. Good fucking lick hitting Ghost notes or doing consistent solid triples or even doubles.
In addition, trying to do heel toe on the rockband trigger kick is sooooo unsatisfying and theres no tactile feedback as to if you actually did it or not.
I dont think I will ever go back to normal rockband drums especi since theyre in basically the same price range as cheap E kits now anyway ￣\_(シ)_/￣
For reference I use the simmons Titan 50, works like a dream! I also mapped the open hi hat to register as a blue input

MIDI's only if you want to connect an e-kit or use it as an e-kit, raphnet'll work just fine with it.
