- It just keeps getting WORSE for Stellantis! They've drastically slashed their dealer inventory targets for the year, their stock price has plummeted, their dealers are suing them...it's insane. They seem to be circling the drain, and Ray & Zach dive into the reasons why and how they can claw themselves back out again.

Not in the least. My brother and I visited the local Stellantis dealer last week. When my brother asked if we could take a Jeep 4xe for a test drive while they changed the oil in his RAM, the salesman told us no. He said their inventory isn't available as loaner vehicles while your truck is being serviced. The thing is, my brother was legitimately interested in the Jeep. I'm still not over it. How much do they spend trying to get people into their stores? They had two middle-aged guys sitting in their showroom (without their wives present to talk any sort of sense into them) and not only did they not seize that opportunity, but actively shut down any prospects. My jaw was on the floor and my brain is still broken trying to understand their game.
lol what the heck is $1,000 incentive going to do to a $61,000 or $57,000 pickup truck.
If $1,000 is all they can do… just shut your doors now.
Very true
We are REALLY curious to see how deep they go in December.
And those are the cheap ones.
I was hoping there would be more incentives for their HD Trucks this month. Seems like they just regurgitated Septembers Incentives. Guess ill wait till the end of the year.
@@MerasHeslo I wouldn't buy a Stellantis vehicle at all. The quality of their stuff is some of the worst in the industry.
Two points - thank you for showing a 2023 Ram truck is only worth $39K in today’s market. They will need to REALISTICALLY drop their price to sell them. Five grand isn’t going to cut it. The other point is these brands do not have the best quality and reliability behind them. Tough to sell if it’s going to be in the shop often and not on the road.
Buying a way overpriced truck that is two years old with only $1000 incentive. How much will Insurance on that Brand New but two year old truck be? Those incentives are nothing.
Exactly. $1000? Are they serious? Maybe people will start looking at if you increase that incentive by $25,000. This is Dodge we are talking about here, not a Mercedes, Audi or Porsche. & Dodge wants to be counted w/ them...??! Dodge will never be able to sit at the table w/ these high end German cars, never.
And it's not like the quality has gotten better to match the prices
Yeah. People are no longer going Ooo, a bigger touch screen, wow, take all my money.
🎯
Agreed
I happened to drive past the Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep dealership yesterday. They have a ton of vehicles of all types. I looked it up. A total of over 450 2024's vehicles. 296 2025's vehicles. Another dealership only had 175 2024's and 39 2025's. Thats a lot of unsold vehicles.
Flat spot on the tires, water in the oil, dried gaskets are all potential issues
😮gas tanks full of old gas...varnish. you wouldn't treat your push mower like that...
Car edge please talk about lot rot. What happens to cars when they sit for this long?
Back in 2016 I bought a tradesman v6 for 23k otd including all fees. Now 70k otd that’s triple the price.
Guys. There are still new unsold 2022 ram trucks for sale in wilkesboro NC. I laid my eyes on them a few weeks ago
Weird how buyers warned dealers. Between dealers and manufacturers they causes this.
I also feel a lot of this, majority, is the dealer fault for jacking up the price over the last few years. People just stopped buying cars
It's a friggin Dodge and jeep
65,000 dollars for a Dodge is absolutely ridiculous for
A unreliable stelantis product
35,000 at best....that's all there worth
Every dodge vehicle they have isn't worth more than 30k. Maybe 40k for the Wagoneer too.
I called it 3 years ago when they announced the end of the Hemi. They were a nobody company that faded in early 70's until they reintroduced the Hemi. Then they got too big for there britches and think they can throw junk at us and we should feel privledged to pay more for a lesser vehicle. They need to lower prices by 20% to even compete. This should be a warning for other manufacturers to not alienate your core customer base. No one wants crap tiny engines or EV's anymore and then to pay $70K+ for them is just insane.
All car dealers that went up on there car prices during the pandemic deserves to be in this situation along with the manufacturers for allowing it they should be put out of business asap
According to a report from Reuters, Stellantis has said it will be extending a production suspension at its Mirafiori plant in Turin, Italy, which produces the Fiat 500e. Originally the plant was supposed to resume production on October 11, but due to “weak orders” Stellantis is extending the suspension until November 1.
Funny. I've been considering a used Fiat 124 Abarth. 15k-mi for $16k. Think this news will affect that?
@@swesleyc7 $16,000??????
$1000 is less than a drop in the bucket, no deal
1000 is a total joke !!! 10,000 is where their going to have to start.....
They'd have a hard time giving their junk away for nothing.
About half a mile from the nearest Jeep, Ram dealer i noticed this indoor sports complex we go to had about 20 unsold Rams and Wagoneers taking up a section of their parking lot. I just laughed when i saw it. Its been over a month and they all or most are still there.
Couldn't happen to a better company 😅
I wanted to buy a Wrangler 2 door but the prices have become ridiculous plus the quality isn't like Toyota and the gas mileage would be another expense. It makes sense to watch occasional Jeep off road videos instead and save money.
CDJR - building worst in the world quality cars while charging as much or more than everyone else. That equals going out of business.
What happens to those vehicles if they have sat on that lot for over a year in terms of seals, and lubrication?
Same thing as if you let your car sit for 2 years and then try to run it.
My question is are they going to put a brand new battery in a vehicle that's been sitting for over a year instead of a 48 month battery now it is a 36 month and how about new wiper blades there all dryer out because of the ozone probably not and let's talk about flat spots on the tires
@@douglaskerr6813 I doubt it !!!
@@douglaskerr6813😮tires old too...out in UV light ruins them.
@@douglaskerr6813 You know they most certainly will step up to help the customer. Haven't they always put the customer first?
It's not abnormal, it's unheard of... Dealers have never had maybe more than 1 or 2 vehicles left over on the lot when the new years models came.in..
The market for chrysler products is limited to begin with. Making them expensive wasn't going to help matters.
I work for a supplier. I dont think the people at my job or the people who work for them fully understand the significance of the 200k number.
There are still 2022 Rams on some dealers lots. What is the "market price" for a Ram 2500 if the market says its $45K for a 1500?
Stellantis is getting what the company wants snd now it's chaotic beyond their wildest dreams. 😊
Dodge/Chrysler is lower than average product to begin with. Only way they're going to get anyone in the door is to cut cost by more than half.
You forgot about the 2022's
im trying to buy a new vehicle and im still not happy with these prices. was going to try for a year-end deal
Stellantis needs to get a new CEO in the style of Porsche's great visionary CEO Wendelin Weideking. He turned Porsche around from $300 Million annual to over $20 Billion, by eliminating most of the product line that was underperforming. The company is trying to build cars the public don't want to buy.
They need to get a new CEO in the style of long ago Japanese leaders who lost all face.
Changing the CEO will change nothing. All MBA’s must be fired and engineers must take their place.
Bring back the 100k 10 year warranty
I’m still on my lifetime powertrain
But will the CDJR be there later to service the vehicle?
Ray looking good out there on the lot. That was Ray, right?
Stellantis is going to fold their brands. They are to large and being run like a PE firm
They could spin off the brands that are merely being held back by failed leadership. Dodge has loyal customers - just not to the junk Tavares is pushing at us.
@@rogerrussell9544 The company should be dissolved and brands sold off. This merger should have never been allowed in the first place.
I checked out a Wrangler for my daughter and a Grand Cherokee for myself. The vehicles were nice but never worth what Stelantis was demanding. Went from medium class to luxury pricing, without being it.
Now this is why i said to wait. When ray was saying what do you guys want they are discounting them now about 10+ months ago. Well this is what we were waiting for that we all knew was coming. Anyone can see that they are not keeping prices at 60k+ cause 80% of the population can't afford or don't want to have that kind of payment.
There's a dealer with bottom of the line, stripped down Hellcats at 15k off. I think they're on the right track but have a little more work to do...
Stellantis has worked really hard to destroy quality. No more cost cutting is available If they had only put all that work into making a great product?
Stellantis (RAM) price in Dec 2023 for a 2500 HD truck loaded $105K and the dealership started with a $2K off MSRP offer. Ford SuperDuty with similar loaded equipment in the mid-80s. Chevy with similar equipment and upgraded 1-ton max tow and 5th wheel equipment $74K. Add to this that I had a pristine RAM 1500 trade I'd bought at MSRP in 2021 that was less than 2 years old and VERY low miles when I went to the dealer where I had a 2 year service department relationship. Bye Stella-RAM, you killed yourselves.
These should be selling for scrap price.
They should have kept the classic ram. It's exactly what they need - affordable and reliable. They don't need to cut production they need to offer product that sells more units.
Stellantis completely overestimated the size of the luxury car market. Especially the market for non-luxury cars at luxury prices
These trucks are too large and over priced
I don't know what is going on in the other parts of Stellantis elsewhere in the world but I don't see FCA US/Stellantis NA surviving intact through this.
I’m LMAO. A $1k incentive on a $60k truck? 😆
So the 2023 Ram needed to be at $40,000.
Try to sell them the same exact truck they'd offer you 27k lol
$1000 incentive? Pfffft... ok.... whatever. Our local dealer in Jacksonville, FL has 179 '2023' models in stock across Jeep, Chrysler, Ram, and Dodge brands. If they aren't cutting at least 25% off any model, I'm not interested. These cars/trucks are nearly two years old now. The cars have all depreciated, and Stellantis isn't willing to absorb any of that cost. The consumer definitely shouldn't have to absorb it. Btw - the same dealer - has one 'new' 2018 (yes. eighteen) Jeep Compass Latitude in stock that apparently is 'new'. (Noted as 'call for price').
I got a great deal end of Aug on a 2024 F150 STX built 3/2024.
Carlos Tavares has no business running these brands. He needs to be removed immediately. It boggles the mind that this guy is somehow the highest paid executive in the auto industry. He's a greedy, incapable, POS. That isn't to excuse the tactics from the dealerships, but clearly the core is rotten.
Remember when the big three were GM, Ford, and Chrysler? Stellantis has destroyed the Chrysler brand. There should be no taxpayer bailouts for any of these companies...like they did before.
I don't think they made more expensive vehicles. I think they decided to over price them. I hope that their problems are bad enough that they are forced to sell off a couple of brands. Ram and Jeep before they completely destroy them.
They got rid of the Hemi. Sad. Been a Ram guy since 2000. But I need a V8.
Hate this French company
Zach going between looking at the camera and looking at his dad every two seconds is driving me crazy.
Ford maverick is still hot 🥵 and going to get hotter with hybrid maverick AWD !!!! Superduty stock is still low only thing ford has a lot of is f-150. Dodge needs a small truck 🛻
They need to bring the Ram 1200 from México
I need a 6’ bed Maverick. Any chance?
@@marcpikas2859 yes me to 4.5' box is useless build s smaller super cab and a 6' box add a camper topper fun lil weekend camping rig
I have a feeling stellantis is aiming to lower quality as well, because being last in quality is just not good enough.
3 model years? I’ve seen “new” 2022 on a few lots.
7.8% dealer incentive won't move bubble gum.
Elephant in the room ? More like the Godzilla in the room.
That 1500 ram truck is worth max 35k
It would surprise me if they let go there quality control people first
Sued? Hell, they’re going into bankruptcy!!
Sounds like a bankruptcy waiting to happen.
Some C -suite executive isn't buying a super yacht this year
Yes they are.
the c suite will still get fat bonuses
Jeep Dodge Crysler Quality has gone from bad to worse. Recalls left and right. Chinese sale fell through and $40M CEO was fired. Sinking ship even with a hemi.
Sorry I would not Purchase a 2023 that has been sitting on a Dealer Lot for that many days… Yeah it has a Full Warranty, but that’s just what I want to do… Keep bringing it back for Repairs because it has sat on a Lot for that long …. No Thank You ! 👎
What’s up with rays hair on top 😂
The company screwed everyone and everything over.
I'll take a raincheck... maybe after their pompous ceo gets the boot.
Thousand dollars is useless on these things. There 20k overpriced
Elephant walks into Stellantis Board room, saunters over and takes a MASSIVE elephant DUMP on the desk there. Ah - we better do something then, CEO Stellantis.
Dealer incentives, shaped like a LARGE pineapple, gonna need a lot of lube for that.
Shocking!
YUP. Let's talk about the electric elephant in the room.
@@2148aa Haha, CarEdge supports Kamala?
I thought the fed killed it.
It's a Fiat! Enough said!

The elephant farted in the room.
Incentives?......OH, I thought you said insensitives!? Said Stellantis CEO
Yea yea yea nothing to see here 😂
Golly, Stellantis. Just go away. Nobody needs your overpriced garbage. You can't make cars. Period.
Bring back the PT Cruiser! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣!
Jeep junk
UAW lets strike for higher everything. Makes since in their minds however Mexico and Canada love it. Enjoy
Might be a good time for someone to buy Jeep and Ram and revive the brands. Come on Elon!
Go woke go broke. They replaced the V8 w a V6. Big mistake. Huge.
Toyota will join them shortly.
these 2 are definately experts on greed!
Old repetitive news. Get a life you 2 and most something that folks care about.
Carvana and Carmax are still around.
not for long
Isn’t just the chincey incentives & 2 or 3 years old LOT ROT vehicles going clear back to 2022, it’s also the cost cutting of Carlos (Mr Green weenie) the bean counter that had Stellantis buying cheap parts & using cheap software in the electronics of their vehicles. I wouldn’t chance buying a CDJR product with the defects & recalls.
Let ‘em rot, let ‘em rot. Kiss my ass for $1000 off. The only way I’d look at any jeep/dodge/ram product would be if they literally marked at 50% off. Anything less does nothing for their overpriced products. They can just miss me with $65K jeeps.
