As for the Dragonseeds, Addam and Alyn of Hull descended from Corlys or Laenor, both Ulf the White and Hugh Hammer are Valyrian descended (no info on their parentage), and Nettles has mixed Valyrian descent. with this info we can assume that to ride a dragon you have to be a descendant of a line from Old Valyria, not necessarily “blood of the dragon”.
