In House of the Dragon Season 2, Episode 7, Aemond Targaryen will fly his dragon Vhagar and burn a village close to King’s Landing that will proclaim for Rhaenyra Targaryen. Aemond will execute members of the Kingsguard and will also have a scene with Helaena Targaryen where he uses her prophetic dreams to make war plans. Daeron Targaryen will fly his dragon Tessarion to accompany the Hightower host, and Rhaenyra Targaryen with Syrax will confront Addam and his dragon Seasmoke.
In Season 2, Episode 7 of the Game of Thrones prequel series, House of the Dragon, we will also see Daemon Targaryen having a meeting with Oscar Tully and other riverlords at Harrenhal during which he will execute Willem Blackwood for his crimes to gain the allegiance of the rivermen. Rhaenyra will meet with Corlys Velaryon at Driftmark and legitimize his bastard sons, Addam and Alyn. Alicent Hightower will confront Aemond, and Alicent will attempt to drown herself. Rhaenyra will allow anyone and everyone who wishes to claim a dragon to try on Mysaria’s advice, but much to the disapproval of Jacaerys. Many will come to Dragonstone and give it a try, and many will die, but eventually, Rhaenyra will gain two more dragons to her side, Vermithor and Silverwing, when Hugh and Ulf claim them. Tyland Lannister will meet with the Triarchy where he wrestles with them but eventually gains their allegiance since they hate the Sea Snake and Daemon. Rhaena Targaryen will claim a wild dragon, Sheepstealer, and Daemon will survey the army he has gathered at Harrenhal.

I just realized the most badass captain in the history of the Seven Kingdoms, Corlys Verlaryon the Sea Snake, didn’t have even one scene spent on a ship..

Daemon executing Blackwood, who was acting on Daemon’s orders, is the most Daemon thing.
He acted on his orders to commit the war crimes, but also did them while carrying the Targaryen banner, which is what Daemon specifically told him not to do. "There are things the crown must be not seen to do." In Daemon's mind, he obeyed one order and completely disobeyed another.

@@alicerat6294 i read somewhere that sheepstealer is pretty much as big as vermithor since he grew up outside of captivity but the only reason he doesn't look as threatening is because he's naturally got a slender/skinnier build. which, if true, would be a great parallel to rhaena's dad daemon's dragon caraxes

Shoutout to Gwayne Hightower who has been hilarious since showing up. My favorite line of his: “To the Seven Hells with you, Cole!”. In previous episode scene with Alicent also felt nice, at first Gwayne was sarcastic with Alicent since he realized she came to meet Cole and wish him farewell but then became genuine when talking about his nephew Daeron. Great scenes with Gwayne!
Gwayne Hightower and Simon Strong are probably my favorite characters at this point

Hes the most disloyal person this show has shown thus far.

I mean in the book he spends almost an entire year at harrenhall, which is nearly half the entire war. Where as in the show he seems to only spend 1-2 months there and still manages to gather the armies while tripping balls, that's even more impressive in reality.
This sounds like it bodes a huge departure from the books. And Rhaena going after Sheepstealer means abandoning the three heirs to the throne, to which her stepmother told her to "be the mother she cannot be." Which means protecting them. And instead she's sending them off to sea alone with a bunch of staff. ...What could go wrong?

Why are they making Daeron look like Alicent and not having Targaryen silver hair?! Do the showrunners want people to think Daeron might be a bastard, son of Cole?! House of the dragon is a fanatsy mainly about politics and houses, if we were to see a battle with dragons every other episode it would be crap. That's why episode 4 was so good because of the 3 and a half episodes that lead to that battle making it more Impactful and good to watch.

The showrunners have a good chance to test the waters on what to do with Daeron. If Alicent has a vision of Daeron with Hightower features over Targaryen they can change their mind in season 3 since it's just Alicent's vision going from what her brother has described to her about Daeron and her subconsciously wanting him not to be anything like her other sons. I think when we see Daeron he'll have silver hair. Fingers crossed anyway.

Why get rid of Nettles she's essential to the rest of the story, namely with Sheepstealer. And since Mysaria and Rhaenyra's relationship is blossoming into something more. It makes sense why when Nettles comes on the scene Rhaenyra holds contempt for her particularly when it comes to Daemon. In the books, Beala gets Morning, who is just a hatchling, but she has a dragon all the same. I won't forgive the showrunners for this artistic blunder. It's the same mistake the GOT showrunners did with Lady Stoneheart, aka Caitlin Tully Stark, and with Dorne and Obyron Martell's badass daughters, the Sandsnakes.

I'm reading the book and no where in it does Helaena have dragon dreams, she is just locked in her room in a deep depression after the murder of Jaehaerys. In the show it's like Daeron is a complete after thought and they left him out completely until they realized that he plays a key role in the war. LOL The weird stuff happening at Harrenhall with Daemon also never happens. The show is good, but I wished they would've been more true to the book. The shows writers are taking a little too much liberty with the story.

It’s not inconceivable that one of their kids would have Alicent’s hair. Also, it’s not possible for Daeron to be Cole’s, because he hatched a dragon egg and bonded with it from babyhood. So he’s definitely part Targ. Plus there’s no hint that Cole and Alicent were having sex during her childbearing years, which was two decades before the current events, I don’t think young Alicent was unfaithful to Viserys. So really it would make no sense if they went down this route, I would be extremely shocked if they did.

Daeron not having Valyrian hair does not make any sense. If you look at the Targaryen family tree you will see that the magical Valyrian hair genome has to be dominant (only recessive to Baratheon hair in the book). Daenerys, her brothers, parents and grandparents had Valyrian hair but were only 7/64 or about 1/8 Valyrian. Viserys being 100% Valyrian and having a dark haired children with a woman that has a recessive hair genome to his doesn’t make any sense. Rhaenyra for example is only 3/4 Valyrian so it is possible for her to pass a non Valyrian hair genome down to her children or the strong genome is just more dominant than the Valyrian one.

I wonder if Daeron appearing with Hightower features will be an internal conflict thing with Alicent, like the manifestation of her feelings over her sons that were raised more 'Targaryen' in KL vs her son she hasn't seen for many years who has been raised like a Hightower, and when we ACTUALLY see him he'll be silver haired as he's described in the books. Either way its not a change i think ill be against, i think it adds an interesting element for show viewers tbh and considering f&b is an in-universe historical text i wonder if the description of his appearance (in show timeline) will be another mistake/misinterpretation, or even another instance of maester Gyldayne being pro greens because including Daeron's Hightower appearance would make the greens look hypocritical.
I feel like Rhaena will still get labeled a traitor by Rhaenyra like Nettles was. She defied orders, leaving Rhaenyras kids alone and assumes Viserys II is now dead because of her
