(Isha of Y'hoshua(jasmandolin)) Oh my gosh, I made this soup today and you are right! The cocoa powder is all the difference. Thank you so much for your receipes Rivka! As most of us are always searching for a new one or a way to 'tweak' our favorites just a little. I have make your date/cocoa truffles and they are just AWESOME! I did roll them in a bit of coconut too and that was better than my sisters all chocolate ones (love her to pieces for making them but my sugar just won't allow me to eat many anymore). So my little addition to this black bean recipe is I added last nights roasted lemon/pepper/herb de provence chicken that I plucked off of the bone alone with some beef. Lastly, I am planning on trying your Hamentashen recipe this year. Much love and blessings, thanks for all you and your family share. We are WAY OUT in a rural community where we are the only 'ones' and you and your family help to provide us with a 'community' via the internet. That combined with the knowledge that every erev yom shishi we are separated only in distance from all others. Our davening, candles, parsha is HUGE comfort. Though we are separated by miles our hearts, prayers and parsha connects us to you and yours as well as the rest of Yisrael. AHAVAH from a not so lonely Jewess.
I love Black Beans, and I am new at learning to live by the Torah and Kosher foods. I can't wait to make this to share at the next weeks Sabbath meal when we gather together after the meeting. Thank you Rivka Malka, you are indeed a blessing to me and I am inspired by your messages that you share. I don't know what cholent is yet! Shavua tov. Shalom! I like salt so I say the extra salt is okay. I'm looking for a book by you on Amazon for cooking. Do you have one?
Your kids are precious. Yay for a recipe! I love to watch you cook in the kitchen. I think you still owe us a recipe though....Something your husband makes? Or maybe I'm thinking of someone else. Anyway, yay for the recipe! lol

You and your family remind me of when we were raising our kids.... Also, you are so much like my one grand daughter, you look a like as well.... I really enjoy your videos.... You seem to have so much patience...
And believe it or not my focus on her was the shaw especially the diagonal way she is wearing it. I am turning a few of my many long skirts into mipachot. Im having a difficult time deciding which to cut as they are all unique patterns
Yes! This world can never have enough cholent recipes. Triple thumbs up! Shavua tov! I am so looking forward to that episode. Cooking The Jewish Way With Rivka Malka.
Thanks for posting! If you add celery next time, You will probably not need as much salt. Whenever I make a soup that requires marrow bones, I bake them in the oven for 1 hour at 475 degrees. This also improves flavor.
Thank you for the recipe. Would you also be able to add a link for the cookbook you used? I looked up the name, as I thought you said it, on Amazon but couldn't find it. If no link, then the full name of the book and the author would be super helpful. Much thanks.
Moi 2, beginning in Tishrei I have a ear nose throat issues I'm postive it's the Michigan air. As I had no issues prior to being transplanted here to Bloom Light 😊 in a gross darkness:)
Hi sister. Firstly I admire you and your beautiful family very much and am so glad to have come across your videos! I am curious... What is your view on plant-based diets? Many Israeli's are choosing to eat vegan and make more vegan choices when buying products, paying for services, etc. What are your views on this? Would you consider? As someone who eats and lives according to a vegan lifestyle I find it strange that so many religious or "spiritual" people don't do the same given the practicality of it relative to where we live and the obvious health, environmental, spiritual benefits. I am confused that many choose to stick to tradition and comfort. Would love a video on this.
Your kids are so adorable; and I love the way you dress them! ❤️
I love you Rivka and your lovely family!! I am learning so much from you - Thank you for everything you do!♥

Great tip!
Baking the marrow bones helps remove fat, too.
I also brown meat, too. The marrow bones will probably brown in less than 1/2 hr.
