Dr. Bronner’s makes all purpose soaps like sal suds or castile soap that are great for washing fruits and vegetables

I'm not jewish but I also check for bugs. Be careful with produce from other countries, they use recycled or not so healthy water. I lived in Florida and the strawberry fields are beautiful, you can go and pick your own! Thanks for the tip about salted water. I will use it. Nice and busy kitchen, that's a good thing!

Question. Is there any dietary laws about live bugs landing in your food? I went to a potluck picnic this last weekend and there were flies all over the potluck dishes; specifically the ones no one had bothered to re-cover. It just got me to wondering. Thank You!

Elishava good question, it seems to be a problem especially during summer when bugs are EVERYWHERE, so what happens if a fly lands on my hotdog or a bee sits on my soda can? can I still eat it? even if I'm unaware of the bugs even briefly sitting on my foods?

Elisheva as long as you don't eat the bug then it is fine.

Could you one day speak about women and men, honor, marriage? Specifically, how the concept of honor relates to marriage (before and after for a young woman)?

Crickets are actually clean according to the Torah. Leviticus 11:21-23. Still not sure if I want to eat a cricket bar though. ;)

Karen Lowery only some crickets are kosher, nobody follows the rules for eating crickets except Moroccan Jews
