I love aldi's! I've been shopping at Aldi's for the past 3 or 4 years since they came into our area. I have found that I save 30 to 65% shopping for all my Staples at this store. I have found that they have the best store brands because of the no artificial flavorings or additives. I've never been disappointed. And I make around a two-week supply of freezer meals to get me through lunches at work and most of my dinners. The savings has been unbelievable. I eat like a king yet I spend like a miser😅
Yes!!! Exactly! That’s been my experience as well and I’ve been shopping there a little over a year since they came to my city. I absolutely adore ALDI’s prices and their brand items. They definitely make it so much easier to eat healthier on a tight budget.
Yes!! Throw them in the freezer so they don't go bad!! Great tips Laura. We go thru sooo many bananas. Yellow for this week greenish for the end of the week 😊.
Lots of good prices there for you with exception of the eggs🐣, boo! About the chicken drumsticks… I love to season ours with salt and pepper and sometimes garlic powder. I slow cook until tender (I usually remove the skin at this point) and then place on a lined baking sheet, brush on bbq sauce and place in the oven to finish. PS I love wavy potato chips, too💕
The Green Split Peas I just put in a crock pot and I add broth and some carrots and some onion and maybe just a teeny bit of garlic and I put a ham hock in there and I just cook it down all day and then I blended up at the end take the ham hock out cut all the meat off if you can't find that I found ham base but don't use too much cuz it's very salty
honestly, i’m really wondering if you and your family are able to eat the food you cook each week! Haha here we are between 4 and 6 (depending of the week) and i have too much left overs so i cant cook again 🤣.. my last grocery cost me 37$… how do you handle so much food? haha do you have gigantic freezers? 😝 :)
Haha yes! I have a deep freezer for lots of things. I usually spend about $40 a week also but last week I restocked on some meats and found a turkey on sale (it went in the freezer haha) and this week I’m making about 2 weeks worth of freezer meals. I’ll probably save several of those freezer meals in my deep freezer for busy nights over the next 3 months instead of eating them right away 😄 I’ll hopefully get back to my regular budget next week
Here’s a real money saving trip since you drink 2 percent milk and organic is so expensive. I buy whole milk, then mix half and half with water. Voila! 2 percent milk for half price. I use filtered and boiled water, (after it’s cooled) just to be sure it’s safe.
I hope you are able to find some good deals! Our Walmart also has similar prices but it’s a bit far for me to drive so I love having our ALDI nearby. They have great deals on the ad every week too. Does yours have an ad each week with sales?
I have all the books in my storefront! ☺️ www.amazon.com/shop/lauralegge/list/2G4YBJJUOGJEI?ref_=cm_sw_r_apin_aipsflist_aipsflauralegge_24T99D4NYBWRKB3G3D2B&language=en_US
I bought the organic milk at my Aldi and I compared the label to the regular milk label and it was EXACTLY the same with the exception 1% less sugar. I feel jipped because it was double the price. I think they’re just duping us with the label 😢
A vegatarian green split soup is also great and bulk it out with extra veggies or small pasta shells at the end
Ok wonderful!! Thank you! I’ll look for a good recipe to try ☺️
These videos are so soothing and fun to watch! I always look forward to them!
Thank you so much!! I’m so glad to hear that ☺️
Split pea soup with ham. Very yummy and a classic
Ok yay! I’ve never had that! I can’t wait to try it 😋
Yes! That’s the best way to make them. Delicious 😋

You’re welcome and thank you! How are the apples?
@@LauraLegge they actually look great!!!! I do find apples to be great at Aldi!
@@Scents_with_Mama-Dragon same here! The last apples we picked up were so sweet and crisp! 😋
You can mash peas and put them on toast and an egg.
Ooh yum! I’ll have to try that!
Ham and split peas soup. So good.
I’ve never tried it! Thank you so much for the suggestion!
So nice
Thanks!
Yay!!
Thank you!! ☺️

Oh wow! Thank you! That’s a great tip!
We are in North Mississippi next to Memphis, Your prices are so much better than ours at Aldi.
Oh wow! That’s interesting to hear!
I just found the same thing about the eggs yesterday. Weird, but we'll take it. Eggs went up about $1 a dozen at Aldi recently. Sucks!
Ya it’s a bummer but I’m sure it’s still less than my other local stores 😅 I’ll just have to eat less eggs for a bit haha
ALDI was foundet by the german brothers Karl and Theo Albrecht. ALDI is short for Albrecht Diskount.
That’s neat! I love learning about the history of the company!
I’d like to know why eggs are going back up.
I’m curious too!
Wish my Aldi had your prices.

Oh interesting! I’m not sure! Their regular milk is such a great price. I buy that one sometimes too
The organic has to do with the sourcing of ingredients, they won’t be different, it’s how they are grown or raised and milked or processed
