  • Saw this kit on Amazon a while back and had to give it a try. With 120 patterns and multiple chase effects it should be pretty good for $70 USD ($150 CAD..??)... maybe? I definitely had some issues with the kit but the end result is really nice.
    Major shoutout to my bro for letting me use the lift. Check out his sick lowrider collection and show him some love:

    I went through 2 of these kits in 7 months. The first kit started bugging out then the strip on the right died on me and was causing the rears to bug. In korjo's defense I did rip it off like every other day at my ride height and i had to take the second one off when i put on the pandem kit

      Here’s your mistake:
      It’s highly likely you didn’t install wire loom around the wires to protect them. Also on top of that try putting electric ⚡️ tape on all ends where the wires meet the lights.

    Hey, LivingAsleepHD, thank you for the video. The underglow looks amazing. I am in the market for getting underglow myself and I was wondering if you could elaborate on some of the kit's contents. For instance, does it have an in-line fuse, and does it contain the disconnector you have in your driver's seat? Also, have you installed those waterproof connectors yet for the daisy chain, and if you did, how do they work? Is your kit still functioning now?

    Great car and video! Have you experienced any issues with wear-and-tear on the wire that wraps around the door’s weather strip and into the cabin? I’m thinking about doing the same thing w my kit, but am concerned about wear-and-tear since the door opens and closes on it repeatedly over time

    • @LivingAsleepHD
      @LivingAsleepHD  2 года назад +1

      Thank you so much! It hasn't been too long so its hard to tell but so far I haven't had any issues. I think this works as a temporary solution and I will probably route the wire through the firewall grommet in the spring for better/more secure routing. Tbh at this point I think the wire is safe if you tuck it far enough into the weather strip haha.

    • @jakesalter19
      @jakesalter19 2 года назад +1

      @@LivingAsleepHD i was gonna go the firewall grommet route with my scion tc, but mine’s already so tightly packed w wires and idk if i’ll be able to find where the wire would come out into the cabin without taking apart the dash, which is above my skill level lol

    • @LivingAsleepHD
      @LivingAsleepHD  2 года назад +1

      @@jakesalter19 haha yea for real its a big pain honestly which is why I took this shortcut 😂 I'm not sure if its relevant, but you can check my oil pressure gauge install video and see if you have a similar grommet near the one I used for the sensor cable? It was annoying to pry back some space and feed the cable so I taped the wire to a cut up wire coat hanger to help fish it through, that might help :)

    Can this drain you’re battery if accidentally left on over night?

    • @LivingAsleepHD
      @LivingAsleepHD  Год назад

      If the lights are left on then yes definitely it can drain the battery, LEDs are pretty low power in general and I’ve had mine on for hours without issues but never over night. The module itself requires very little power so if you’re driving the car often the alternator should keep the battery charged. I’d recommend turning it all off anyway when not in use.
