- Under is something that was prevalent in the car community in the late 90's and early 2000's but it slowly died off because it was considered "rice". But its 2021 and Underglow is back baby! Under glow is a great way of making your car unique to you and its a very easy modification to install which is why its starting to win over so many hearts. Today we installed the worlds best under glow on the market right now, LOWGLOW. You mightve seen some of this on car tiktok or instagram but this new underglow kit is super bright to the point where you can even see it when there is some sunlight out! Not only that but it has a million different color options and it has a cool effect where it looks like chasing colors! Overall it was a super easy install and I would definitely recommend LOWGLOW!

Even in the Fast and furious, those all black civics with green glow still look good today

Was probably the best video I’ve seen for installation coverage. I think it looks way better how you tucked the rear strips up into the body. Because at some angles you can see the strips itself so would give away that illusion.
I have gotten myself the smaller version but has 10x 25cm strips so I shouldn’t have a problem mimicking your guys way. Great work guys!
Always wanted purple neon back in the 90s when I had a gray Firebird but never pulled the trigger. Most I got was a neon plate. Glad to see undercar lighthing making a comeback and especially in RGB where you have color options. Sucked in the 90s where you were stuck with 1 color.

underglow will always have a special place in my heart i grew up around it it was that thing to have when i was younger so not to long ago i threw a cheap kit on my stock shitbox 03 forester its funny looking as hell but it breaks necks when it gets dark when i move into something more jdm (hopefully around tax season) i can get the 99 integra back and get to work on it but this kit will definitely be on the to do list after some of the engine work that i have planned when i get my hands on it but yea in short lowglow is a killer kit

My only concern is how long the 3M tape would last… There’s pretty harsh road conditions where I live and feel like the lights would drop within a week
I’ve never had issues with 3M tape if it’s everything has been cleaned properly and given time to cure to the surface
@@SamSto yup. In my experience with it, the biggest worry about 3M is not if it will stay but rather if it will come back off🤣
You can buy 3m Velcro if you’re worried about that. Has industrial quality 3m glue & the Velcro is industrial grade as well. Will never come off. I literally have my side skirts & track bumper installed using it. Crazy strong
heat surface and the tape itself with a heat gun, the glue melts and realllly gets into every little microscopic crevice, and its gonna stay there forever

LowGlow have been around for a long time. I had there Neon Tubes a long time ago. They actually had adds in Lowrider magazine. Same time Street Glow was out.

I need to get my hands on this kit. Love your videos. I have the color chasing kit and it has more issues than I care to list.
I got XKGlow, which is RGB, so you can pick and choose colors and such. It can't do that the sequential lighting. It does have different zones, so it's possible to connect it up to your blinkers so you can setup half your car to blink with one signal and other half for the other signal. Also all light up red for braking. Now, what needs to be done is one or both of these companies add features the other company has that they don't have. Then it'd be perfect.
I think I might go with this LowGlow for my other car. Well, if it ever gets sold again. Otherwise, guess another XKGlow setup.
Looks great! Would recommend using wire loom for the connecting wires so you don't chafe and short the wires over time.

dude I saw a car the other day with something very similar to this (it also had an rgb ring around its headlamps) and I won't lie, with the light graphite paint job it had, it looked pretty clean
it also looked like my gaming PC but that's not necessarily a bad thing

I actually like the back part better. Because you had to put the strip so far in, the light on the floor is more diffused. I love that a little bit more, but that's personal preference :D

I don't mind my oneuplighting except the app sucks! I gotta be almost sitting in my car to get a signal. A remote would have been better with maybe farther reception.
I'm glad a fellow one up owners thinking the same. I had a strip get pinched and I order there ridiculous priced replacment only to find it faulty and it took a while to get free time to replace. They didn't even send me a replacment because of there dam warranty. I'm never buying from them they basically just took 100$ from me for a prolly cheap part for them to just send me a replacment for there faulty strip replacment.

@@slickest Its not better realisticley. They are probbably using WS2815 leds and a cheap chinese controller. You can DIY a better setup, but the truth is that most people dont have the knowlage/skills to DIY this. I'd personally use a WS2815 and ESP8266 with custom code made for my car...

@@ryanselphie4622 ⬆️ this is the correct and only answer. They also have better support for their lights. They've also been selling them on Amazon for over a year now. There is literally no difference between these lights and the ones on Amazon. The only difference I've even been able to see is the huge markup in price and the light controller box that powers and controls the lights. That's it. That's the only difference. The apps and the way they're controlled are identical. This shit isn't new by any means. They're literally all color chasing led strips you can buy in bulk from Amazon and wired and soldered for use with a vehicle. So why pay more when you can get the exact same product for less.

I'm curious how these setups look on trucks that are not so low to the ground. Are these only ideal for low end cars?
BTW, I dont think underbody kits ever went out of style but the old school tubes were not reliable. Easy to break on speed bumps , etc. I miss mine that didnt last long because my car was lowered. Technology has certainly moved forward.

These new underflow kits are a huge step up from what was available in the 90s!
I think one reason it died out before is Those neon gas tubes busted. Snow, going low on a dirt road, roadkill, slightest speed bump etc....and around my parts, Laws.....Mind you Going to Gatineau Quebec, the 2000s never died, Plenty of Sunfires, Cavaliers, Dodge Neons with, Lights to rival a Rave, tacky side graphics, fart cannons, and spoilers so big I'm pretty sure they're originally off of a Boeing Jumbo Jet lol.

See how long the 3m holds, leds last and how it handles weather
3m tape holds for basically forever as long as the surface you put it on is cleaned before applying. This is 3m tape is specifically for automotive use. It comes standard on every color chasing dream led kit for cars. The only way this is coming off is in an accident or you curb your cars underside.
I’ve got the kit as well that stuff stays on well and the led’s are under some nice and thick silicone and haven’t had problems with the led’s

@@blakesouless6648 I didn’t install as soon as I got them. So I haven’t had it on too long yet. Probably a good 2 weeks. I live in Texas so it’s constant heat and I’ve also washed the car and haven’t had any problems as of yet. I’m also in contact with like 20-30 guys who have the kit and all of em love it but only problems they’ve had so far (and some of them have had installed over a month) is that some have really low car and have literally hit the lights on the ground

It's 75 bucks for a full kit that does exactly the same exact things. All these "companies" are doing is buying connectors and dream led strips in bulk and having them soldered and assembled for use with automotive. Nothing is different about them. Save some money. You're welcome.

When hooking up the lowglow to battery, would it be easier to use a voltage regulater so lights would automatically turn off when car is off and turn on when car is on? Or hook it up to a horn fuse so it would always be on? I know it comes with a relay on/off switch, but if i didnt want to use that??

Aliexpress programmable ws2812b led strip, i used the same for my headlights. Same thing with really strong tape and bluetooth controller with loads of static colors and even more effects.

Actually OPT-7 Underglow is one of the highest quality leds on the market. It’s not led strips, they are encased in aluminum and its a bar not a flimsy plastic strip.
yeah opt-7 is awesome. had it for years and still good. easy mounting
You can't bend those into curves easily like you can with "flimsy" ledstrips. The adhesive will eventually fail on any ledstrip that is mounted like in the video.
@@NitroNTV bending causes it to break the circuits overtime. And yeah it will remove the mounting adhesive too
