You don’t need a fancy dock to use it like a pc, you can buy a £30 usb c adapter that has Ethernet, hdmi, multiple ports, pd pass through etc. Also forza horizon was only at 60fps because you had vsync on, which locks your fps to 60. Cool video tho. Hope to see more content
I have one and im using it with a controller not on a tv because i dont have a dock and in fortnite im running in game 80-120 fps and in creative 190-250 i think yours was not giving u enough fps because of the mode that u where on maybe , for me this device is a 9/10 (in my opinion) the first like 2 days it did glitch and stuff but after the updates it works perfectly fine now
I've had problems with Fortnite a lot. My 3060 (desktop) would get 20fps, no matter what settings I put and would stutter all the time. I would have similar problems on my PS4 and mobile devices. The only thing that would fix it was performance mode. I've seen people encounter similar problems with 3090's too. It's made me realize that my games problems are more of a software issue than hardware.

its still a really good system for pc games and emulation. low settings arent really a problem for me, since the screen is so small. personally i love my ally even tho i dont really game often anymore
Guys I will make it soo much easier for you. If you expect playing games on a TV and are looking for a purily gaming product buy a PS5 or an Xbox Series X. If you expect using a monitor as well wanna play some games on your TV buy a gaming laptop. If most of your gaming and productivity is done by a desk, build yourself a PC tower (or buy a prebuild system) based on the resolution of your monitor you will be playing at. If you are looking for a handheld gaming experience for older games or less demanding games (or playing newer games in low resolution and low detail settings) but you wanna still have the option to connect a Bluetooth Keyboard and Mouse (and an externa monitor) than buy one of the Handheld gaming PCs like Asus Ally, Lenovo Legion Go or MSI Claw (there are others) and if you have a wide Steam Game library and you need a handheld that can play it without compromise on the go buy the Steam Deck OLED.
there is multiple usb c to usb adapters out there that have more ports, or you could just use a usb hub. for the ethernet problem you couldve just used a usb to ethernet adapter.
@@Slite Hey thank you for replying! I would love to see you do a review of the lenovo legion go handheld since this is the handheld I'm currently leaning towards. It would be great to see your thoughts.
I'm not someone who builds those kinds of things but it would make a massive difference if they could put a laptop GPU inside of there. I don't personally own one so I'm not sure if there already is or if everything is running off the CPU, but it would make it an amazing purchase if it had a laptop gpu inside that so you can run some of the beefier games.
Windows 11 is just as good for gaming as 7 & 10 was in my opinion. I have had zero issues gaming where Windows 11 was the cause. It seems to be a problem strictly with the ROG Ally. Mobile PC's just aren't there yet. Hell, even the Steam Deck isn't there without making tons of sacrifices and f*cky Linux work-around for some basic things. Steam Deck's new OLED screen is nice, and the hardware on both devices is comfortable, but there are still too many issues. I'd invest in a gaming laptop before considering getting one of these for myself.
