Recently went to a Tony Robbins seminar with Robert as a guest speaker, his message about not complaining registered so well, it has changed my direction in life immensely. When we complain we stagnate our selves in the past and "Block" progress through tough times. I would say it is the leading reason people do not succeed. Tony Robbins touched on this as well.
This country is an opportunity!!! I totally agree with that phrase! This is the best country in the world to live in! I came from Cambodia in 1982! I am blessed to be in the US!
@Alex Alex You not the brightest crayon in the box if you cant think of examples both of those quotes wont work in reality. Robert complains in many episodes. You must just ignore it.
If your basic survival isnt owed to you than it promotes that your parents can be irresponsible . Your kids from the day they are born to the point you die can ask for your help with basic food and shelter and medical and you can say "Life doesn't owe you anything" so I dont owe you shit get it yourself. I can have 50 kids with 50 women and if anyone complains or says I owe something I can say back "Life doesn't owe you anything" Parents literally with proven factual evidence create poverty for their children by creating them and get a pass for having to be financially responsible for them for the rest of their lives. People will even blame their kid for that even if they never agree to it and give the parents a pass for being irresponsible and creating the problem in the first place.
Dan Nolan Ya words can have a lot of different meanings. What I meant by it that I like is that a person has the opportunity to earn something, and even if they have been given an unfair hand, one can still find a useful attitude that empowers them to do what they can. It is super important for parents to take care of their kids.
His dad would of been better off teaching him to find a useful attitude that empowers him to do what he can vs these 2 phrases which both are irresponsible. People that never complain have heart attacks and shoot up their school or work or flip out.People that always complain are annoying and that can piss people off as he said so it is a balance. Human society would be better off if humans were taught if you create a kid be prepared to pay for it's basic survival until you die. If your kid says no they want to pay themselves that is cool but if they don't the parents should pay. Say some 18 year old doesnt want to work or do anything to earn it's own basic survival they get blamed for that when they never agreed to do it.Their parents get a pass. Who has to pay for them? Tax payers and as a tax payer it is the parents irresponsibility that annoys me not their kid that just doesnt want to work. I know I could of taken either of his phrases out of context of how he meant it I would like to hear him reply to my points.
Between all the sharks the story of Robert is the most inspiring one! He really came through a very long way. And the best thing that he always give that respect to his family.
My brother showed me a article that explained how like 99% of all new inventions are just re-makes 'better faster stronger' of old ones, that the basics of a car motor, bathroom razor, kitchen stove, etc. never changes. I wanna make something unique totally new!
That 1% as it follows Pareto distribution is difficult to achieve. Start by looking for problems and finding a new solution, use the law of averages and be willing to fail at least 100 times.
I wish that he could become president. Such an amazing and down to earth guy. He has an immigrant background that has found the American dream and extended it to others.
I think people should look more for qualification and experience when voting for a president. When I looked at Xi Jinping's experience how a person can have such a long journey.
Couldn't agree more with Robert about so many people feeling entitled to things and always having a "woe is me" story for inconveniences and difficulties that almost everyone faces. So many of the people who will stomp and cry when they don't get their way and who feel like the people around them and the world in general owes them a good life are nearly always people who have an unbelievable amount of opportunities in front of them that they simply either don't recognize or don't care enough about to work as hard as possible to make it happen. As great as it is that the median quality of life is so good in the western world, one can't help but think that people being so comfortable and having so few day-to-day risks and responsibilities compared to people from other societies has made many westerners soft and rudderless. Clearly there are still many Americans who are very driven and who actually get some personal gratification out of working hard and being as independent as possible and I really admire and respect those people but more and more often these days, it seems like many people would rather live their whole life on the dole and never strive for something better on their own. It's pretty sad.
I own a auto repair shop and with this industry word of mouth is huge. Marketing is good but the worst thing you can do is market that you are cheap because all that does is acquire cheap customers u will be busy but u won’t make much money. My shop does quality work, we only use quality parts, I only employ quality technicians so my shop is more expensive than other independent shops but my customers are getting what they pay for. Most of my customers were recommended to me because other shops couldn’t fix or diagnose their car so they come to me.

Dr wayne dyer says dont make a goal about money ie i want 2 cars, then you want a bigger house, then you want a second house and 4 cars etc so it's never ending so you cannot think that way just thank God for whatever you have.
I wish the “poor me’s” out there , and the social justice warriors that speak out for the “have nots” would realize that it’s only them that see it the way they do. While the rest of the world understand how blessed we are to be free to make of ourselves whatever we can with our abilities and time and talents.
While life may not owe you anything, I thought we all made an agreement to help eachother? It does not mean doing literally everything but some basic stuff like ensuring everyone is at least healthy is a fair deal to make. Why? Well if people are sick they become a burden to everyone(including themselves) and not everything is easily solved with a single pill. One of the biggest economic forces that hurts the economy is people being unable to reach their potential due to their health or the health of those around them. If your kid is constantly sick you are not going to be working at anywhere near peak and the employer is also going to suffer from that until it's noticed or the burden is shifted to another employer. That is just one part of it like where we make deals to not pollute rivers(well at least pre-trump), conserve some land for all to use, create/maintain means of transportation, ensuring the market is fair(although that is often skewed by money these days) and more. If everyone wants to be purely selfish to the point that only what they care about is important then it comes down to the question of why should we not kill the ultra rich? I mean they have what thousands or hundreds of thousands could live on for years why not take what they have? It's dangerous thinking when people with money decide that they no longer want to be part of the deal when many can barely to afford to survive or taking massive debt to do so.
What does he mean about his dad when they said "if he ever comes back he will never come back?"" Where would they send him?? He lived in Yugoslavia and went to jail in Jugoslavia? Makes no sense? Prison? He also said he created equity and he had to share it? I guess it's distributed to the State and you work for the State? Too bad he didn't explain. Yugoslavia is also six Countries mixed together and Croatia could loose its culture and heritage and identity. Canada or the USA is the best in the world for opportunity? He talks about his experience in Canada.
All fine and like he said his development is kind of a melodramatic hollywood story but at the end we didn’t get to know how he build up his tremendous company 😂😂😂
Sad part nowadays there are opportunities right in people's faces ways to make money if people don't want to start a company..most choose to do nothing. Then why have we had 1 black president in the USA? And then Trump gets elected after Obama? It's about being in the right place at the right time. What you look like can also determine where you end up. You use that opportunity if you do get it.
5:41 Isn't that like capitalism, though? I mean, you work at a factory, get paid minimum wage, and then an investor that goes to the factory like once a year gets paid a percentage of the profits. Meanwhile the factory worker gets paid a barely livable wage for all the work that he just did.
It capitalism. Because it's basically just supply and demand. If you're only qualified to scrub floors than that's your worth. Tough luck. You working for 10 bucks an hour is not your problem. Your mentality is communist in nature. I deserve a part od that. Just because he is rich and you are poor, does not mean he has to help you.

I wish wealthy people would admit that they've had some help, support, luck, were in the right place at the right time, something. Of course fucking hard work, intelligence, finding opportunities, and taking advantage of them are crucial elements. But the concept of a "self-made millionaire" is a brazen misnomer.
Perfumaphilia Mark Cuban is one of those who actually admitted it. Listen to his podcast with "How I Built This", he explains how luck plays a major role in getting wealthy and successful. Some factors are just out of your control.
Becomig a multi-millionaire takes luck but a person who has the capability of being a multi-millionaire with luck can become a millionaire without luck. It’s definitely the key to success.
