Robert Herjavec is the only guy i have seen on shark tank who seems to be learning and investing at the same time. He isnt shy to admit that he is trying to learn from others while investing. Despite his success he still tries to learn something new everyday. Amazing person.

Robert, you strike me as the most humane shark because I have heard you many times discouraging some entrepreneurs pitching not to sell any stake in their company because you felt they had everything they needed. I admire that about you. Thank you for sharing golden nuggets you learned from Mark Cuban. Very grateful. I will watch it again and again.

    1. Beware of the man in the t-shirt, not the man in the suit.
    2. Expect to win always.
    3. The bigger you get, the bigger the bullseye on your back.
    4. Time kills all deals.
    5. Two airplanes are better than one.
    6. The right and wrong time to sell a business.
    7. Time is more important than money.
    8. Once everyone knows the answer the opportunity is already gone.

I've been watching Shark Tank for as long as it's been on air. You can see that each one of the sharks is unique in their own way. Mark is a brilliant businessman, and in my opinion the most observant one. He's harsh sometimes, but always a gentleman. But what I love about Robert is that he's always nice. And even when he's upset or irritated from a pitch or something, he keeps a smile on his face. Wonderful video! Great value. Thanks for sharing.

I thought money and title would make me happy, but it didn't as I saw life passing by me... I decided to resign and so next week marks the end for now. I appreciate the knowledge and experience I gained, but the most important thing for me right now is TIME. I want to "spend" it with my parents (they are old), I want to travel, collect memories and enjoy life before I'm tangled with more responsibility. I will come back stronger and fresher. Nobody can suddenly become prosperous financially. Although they did the background work, we mostly see the ultimate product. Fear is a harmful factor that prevents us from making the courageous decisions we need to make in order to achieve our goals. You have to deal with things like inflation, the recession, Fed policies, and more. In just a few months, I was able to add $289k to my portfolio.

Thanks for this. I'm lower mid 30s who started working at 14, climbed the company ladder and bought my first house when i was 20. Started my first business while also investing in my late teens and sold my first business to pay off my mortgage at 26 years old. I've had a successful second business and have a few income properties while also continuing other investments. I have a car and truck that are modest and paid off. I don't wear expensive clothing. I don't wear jewelry besides my wedding band. I don't consider myself rich but im comfortable. I don't need a bigger house but I have bought more land around my house. I have learned that enjoying life is my #1 priority and I'm lucky to enjoy the work I do. My mother joking asks me why I dress like I'm poor and I give the same answer Mark did and I find that rather funny. This was a great video Robert.

Robert, I feel you are the type of guy who would resonate with many of us guys. Maybe make a podcast or something? We need people like you to let us know how to get through life in a way. I can mention Peterson as an example. Not saying I agree with him but I like men that embrace emotions and I always seen you as that guy. Which is not being weak, but not being ashamed of showing your true side. Kinda amazing you've made it all this way with your type of personality which attracts lots of snakes. Anyways, big hugs and you've always been my favorite. -E

    1) Introduce time in whatever you do to improve the efficiency
    2) Know when to sell the Company
    - When you have no more interest in running your company then sell
-When you think you have reached your peak of earning in your business then sell
    - When that money you get by selling changes your life in a huge positive way then sell
    Else NO

Kudos, Robert. 47 here and kudos for creating this. With a good investment plan that ensures steady income without any doubts I and my wife are prepared for a well organized retirement. I started investing a year ago and so far, I’ve watched my networth grow exponentially after my first $100k. I've learned that getting a good return is very much attainable only if you know your way around it.

I've gotten into a plethora of assets with $21k spread across stocks (options and futures) for the short term and Roth IRA, index funds, cryptocurrency and ETFs, for the long term. Now with over 191k in roi, I sit back and just reinvest at intervals while I handle my other businesses.

"Burn the boat" wasn't a Persian army, it was the Umayyad Arab armies crossing into Spain to fight the Visigoth kingdom. And the story is that the Umayyad leader "Tariq Ibin Zyad" made a speech after he saw that the Visigoth were vastly outnumbering his army, but now it is hard to retreat, so burned the boats and the speech was something like " we have the enemy in front of us, and the sea in our back, now it is victory or death".

I was a stay at Home mom with no money in my IRA or any savings of my own, which was scary at 53 years of age. Three years ago I got a part time job and save everything I make. After 3 years, I am 56 yo and have put $9,000 in an IRA and $40,000 in my portfolio with CFA, Evelyn Infurna. Since the goal of getting a job was to invest for retirement and NOT up my lifestyle, I was able to scale this quickly to $150,000. If I can do this in a year, anyone can.

Shark tank really did me dirty this year, after months of planning, paperwork and significant expense on my end, they canceled my pitch days before it was scheduled to happen. My equipment was even on set. Something I’ve learned is that people have no problem taking advantage of you if it benefits them. My pitch would have taken a half day to shoot, canceling meant the network could film 2 others instead, which means more $ on their end. I spent money I don’t have. Mistake.
