As a Christian, I thoroughly detest the damage that the showbiz televangelists have done to the faith. I can't think of a single one who was wholly sincere and free of controversy. The whole lot has done a tremendous disservice to the faith at-large. Which is why I have no problem with bands like Ghost criticizing and parodying the Church- there's much to answer for in my opinion. They deserve just as much- nay, more -oversight than world governments do. And it isn't a one man race either. Apparently there's a secret wager between the charismatic Protestant evangelists in America and Europe's Catholic priests to see who can undermine the faith's credibility the fastest. It really is quite sickening how much things have devolved over the past 50 years alone. Oddly enough, it also only stands as more evidence that Christianity really is the only true religion God has established on Earth. Why, you ask? Because no institution this incompetent that was totally fabricated purely for civilizational control, as the cynics would have you believe, could possibly last for 2,000+ years! It's unrivaled inadequacies for all these centuries demonstrates that God is the only one holding it all together- because us humans damn sure aren't!

Genesis wasn't hiding their point either. The difference is bands cared about MTV rotation back then, so they would only push things so far.
