I absolutely love Lucia, a fantastic artist in her own right. Both your visions with colours and themes has certainly taken the Ranalah brand to another level. They are no longer just wheeling machines but works of high end static art, you could have one of those Ranalah's in your home and just let it stand there. To save bringing them back, I bet if you both singed them and then auctioned them off, you'd make a healthy profit.
Beaulieu Autojumble in '78 or '79 as a naive youth I was rooting around for tools, found a Snap-On 3/8ths drive ratchet with USA wartime markings, it was rusty, seized and generally terrible. Bought it for 50p or something and took it to the Snap-On van (who was also there) and swapped it for a new one that I still have.
Found out later there was (probably still is) people who collected old wartime tools and it was probably worth a fair bit more than a simple swap for a new one!😆

Another great vlog Dom love the colours and designs , We bumped into a big member of the repair shop team in Mudford Dorset he was trying his hand at fishing was to do with his TV program he was recording for Channel 4 to be screened next year . He was doing a show about beach huts , a Mr Jay Blade what a gentleman he was happy to chat and have his picture taken oh and to praise you and all the help and advise you give the team at the repair shop . Hope to get to Goodwood to see all the stuff going on . Keep up the good work Dom .

I love how Lucia's take on how to paint a Ranalagh took them in unexpected directions. I think you'll have to do them all like this when you go fully into production. Make it part of the brand. 😍

The decoration on the white one looks like it is heading in the direction of the Kandinsky print that I have on my office wall, good job.
I went to see some of his work in Moscow several years ago when the world was in a more hopeful frame of mind.
Inspiring Dom, and that engine hoist sure makes moving those things easy!
wish I had found Dom earlier as I had to scrap a broken hoist , they could have repaired it. lost so much small and large parts that I didnt think were worth anything - though I did try a couple of restoration shops to take them from me, should have tried harder

They look AMAZING. Loved seeing Lucia. Great idea with Ranalah throughout the decades. The spitfire (I'm an aviation enthusiast) and Lucia's 1940's flower design are my absolute favourites. The gold lettering looks fantastic. Thanks for the great video Dom.

This is very interesting. I started your channel with the Porsche. Buit quickly went down the rabbit hole fo the English Wheel and metal forming. Its like, your show pivoited fropm Car Restoration to this old school craft. And I am really wanting on ewopf theses myself to learn and shape my own metal.

Awesome how the Ranalahs have come to life with the era paint schemes ..Lucia brought another set of creative skills and eyes . Whilst the paint was drying where you working on vw wheels 🤔 the formica one looks almost like nougat every one has its own beauty

Roundel blue is its own colour, and is often also known as Record blue because it was their brand colour for their vices. When I was restoring an old Record vice I found that Paragon Paints do a great one that's goes on nicely and gives a tough finish ... perfect for vices!
Such a great episode! I just have to say I love the friendship you and Lucia have, and just how great you work together. Also, I can tell there are some really great friendships amongst the Repair Shop gang! ❤️ Please put the word out to then producers to please cut a deal with Netflix for all of the other seasons also! Love how the Ranalah paint jobs turned out, very cool!
Netflix US that is, or anywhere else that doesn’t get The Repair Shop.
The blue in the RAF roundel is called. believe it or not, 'Roundel blue'. The same colour as used by Record Tools on their vices, bolt cutters etc.
