I like how Bai Yi’s appearance is young but the way he speaks and treats the trio shows how old he is. You can always feel that serene and calm feeling when facing an esteemed overpowered character.
Bai Yi has a nice voice too. I closed my eyes and listened to their voices, Bai Yi's voice is young yet mature (appropriately more mature than Lao Wen). They picked the right voice actor for this role.
He does treat the girls of Ghost Valley well, apparently, given what they've said about him. He's distant, but protective of them. I've not yet seen a male ghost who deserves such kindness. They all seem like backstabbing creeps, at least the named ones.
Wen Kexing goes from brutal mob boss to loving daddy within a manner of minutes. What a brilliant, multi-faceted character. Kudos to Priest for writing him and Gong Jun for bringing him to life.
does anyone else notice the difference in Chenling's behavior from when he was in the Five alliance place to WKX and ZZS, like he went back to being that same kid from the first ep, like omg, he's happy again and comfortable with his two loving parents TTTTT

ZZS is, a bit oddly for a fugitive former assassin living under a self-inflicted death sentence, much more optimistic about people.
Yes, he has let his walls down again and I'm happy to see how comfortable he's with them. He really thinks of them as family and it shows in these things.
Ikr I love him so much! One of ZZS best personality characteristics is that he really know how to respect those around him, esp WKX, ever since the beginning, he knew that WKX was lying to him about his identity, and but he chose to trust him, due to his past assassin experience, he could tell that WKX was a good person. But he chose to respect his privacy, and let WKX slowly warm up to him and let WKX himself tell him the truth, become comfortable in talking about his past :)

Scorpion is such an interesting character. He's ruthless, but there's some moments of pity perhaps even sympathy for beauty ghost and her master in this episode. And there's such a weird energy between him and his father. The way he seeks his approval, how eager he is to prove himself, etc shows how he is is shaped by his father. Very interesting.
The sophistication of flirting in WOH is unmatched, so at 22:09, WKX asked ZZS what type of wine he prefers: "So you want Zhuyequing or Nv'serhong?" but he ended up buying Kaoliang anyway. Now in order to understand what is truly being said here, you need to understand the characteristics of these wine. Zhuyequing has a touch of sweetness, it is really good for the stomach and can improve digestion. Nv'serhong has a story behind it. Traditionally, a family with a daughter will bury several big pots of Nv'serhong shortly after she was born. During her wedding, the family will dig those pots of Nv'serhong up and serve them to the wedding guests. So WKX's question "So you want Zhuyequing or Nv'serhong?" actually means: "So you want to nurture your health or get married (to me)?" And ZZS, understood very well WKX was flirting with him, played along, and said, "Whatever (you prefer)". WKX ended up buying Kaoliang, a very savory wine, confirming that he just asked ZZS what type of wine he prefers earlier to tease him.

The pure joy in WKJ and Cheng ling's face when they heard ZZ can be saved was so beautifully portrayed 😊 Wheather he is ghost cheif or dad and husband ,WKJ always so caring, thoughtful and protective - He wanted to protect the girls from upcoming war against ghost valley so he harshly told them not to go back there. Cheng ling looked so mischievous and cute when he was smiling, sitting on bed wanting a bedtime story 😃 The story WKJ told Cheng ling was such a beautiful metaphor about his life - in all pain and sadness in WKJ's life ZZ is the only happiness he had , who can sooth his all pains.
The thing that makes WKX’s stories more interesting is that he based it from real life experiences, interpret it into something more suitable for the person listening. He’s just sooo smart
zhou zishu’s face when ye bai ye asked wen kexing about his wish and wen kexing said to cure zhou zishu...he was like ‘mf i went through all this shit to have a peaceful death and youre still trying to save me?’
Really, you read it that way? I interpreted this scene as ZZS is trying to not be too happy about the fact that he can be saved, since the higher the hope is, the more disappointment will come when hope shattered. Just as on that rainy night, when Ye Bai Yi said he can make ZZS live for ten years longer at the price of losing his martial art. I never think that ZZS still want to die after meeting WKX. They are each other's light and they save each other from being suicidal. This is the whole meaning of their fateful meeting. I don't think ZZS deserve dying.

Honestly finding it hard to stick to one favourite episode. I absolutely love this episode because of how Ah Xu expresses his sincere feelings towards his Cheng Ling and Lao Wen. It shows how completely happy he is with the decisions he’s made and literally has no regrets whatsoever. I really can’t get enough of this little family they’ve created♥️
I'm so torn between ep 6's reveal (that fake cough at the campsite kills me with laughter no matter how many times I see it) and ep 11's rescue (protective WKX is so beautiful!) 🥰🥰
I really like uncle/senior Bai Yi character. There’s just something about him when he’s on screen. I guess it’s to do with how old he is and how powerful and confidence he is. But I like especially when he talks to other people like he’s saying “I’m older and you listen to me” lol
We Ke Xing's story is pretty tragic and will be revealed more in the upcoming episodes. His past also shaped his personality and his ways of doing things. I really love the character developments in this drama, especially for Wen Ke Xing. His character is very complex and since he doesn't have a normal childhood, nobody taught him how to communicate and properly convey emotions. Most of the times he just holds all the emotions to himself and would not open up himself easily, even in front of A-Xu. I hope people don't blame him for not telling A-Xu all the truth about his past, for WKX is basically just a traumatized boy. He needs time to digest everything and comes out of his shell.
Have I ever tell you that WKX looks good in literally everything he wears? That man is like a walking beauty ngl. And ZZS and his ethereal looks too. Youku, we’re really blessed🤧
Guys, for real now, I love ZZS, he is such a great character with many layers and anything but simple. But hands down - WKX is one of the most complex, twisted and interesting characters I've ever seen, his personality is like a kaleidoscope of bright and dark colors and I'm completely in awe of GJ's acting skill, portraying every of his facets in such a believable way. All actors are just awesome and just perfect fits to their roles, but a character like WKX, to deliver all the emotions and different parts of his personality, that's just amazing. All the respect to these talented actors and actresses for making this so real❤️
Yes WKX has a complex multi layered character, and ZZS (in the drama) also has many subtle mystery gestures ..both chemistry is like magic.. sparkles ❤️

I’m watching in the app with a subscription and I have 5 more eps to go before finishing. No spoiler but I can tell you yeah, it won’t go that smoothly BUT there will also be lots of cute happy moments to look forward to.
I honestly find this particular part of the scene intense 42:17 or is it just me 😳 WKX is scary everytime he disagrees with what ZZS said and ZZS just staring at him, letting him be 😳 because part of it he understands WKX why he reacts that way. Well, this is not the first time cause ever since the beginning, ZZS never judged him fully because he thought maybe there’s some reasons behind it (which he’s slowly trying to learn without forcing it, really love that 😭). But of course sometimes ZZS doesn’t tolerate it and they argue haha
Like a true couple! 😌 I've noticed this too, ZZS is very patient with WKX hiding his true identity. All this time, he's being waiting for WKX to open up to him naturally and not by force. Really, you read it that way? I interpreted this scene as ZZS is trying to not be too happy about the fact that he can be saved, since the higher the hope is, the more disappointment will come when hope shattered. Just as on that rainy night, when Ye Bai Yi said he can make ZZS live for ten years longer at the price of losing his martial art. I never think that ZZS still want to die after meeting WKX. They are each other's light and they save each other from being suicidal. This is the whole meaning of their fateful meeting. I don't think ZZS deserve dying.

Honestly finding it hard to stick to one favourite episode. I absolutely love this episode because of how Ah Xu expresses his sincere feelings towards his Cheng Ling and Lao Wen. It shows how completely happy he is with the decisions he’s made and literally has no regrets whatsoever. I really can’t get enough of this little family they’ve created♥️

We Ke Xing's story is pretty tragic and will be revealed more in the upcoming episodes. His past also shaped his personality and his ways of doing things. I really love the character developments in this drama, especially for Wen Ke Xing. His character is very complex and since he doesn't have a normal childhood, nobody taught him how to communicate and properly convey emotions. Most of the times he just holds all the emotions to himself and would not open up himself easily, even in front of A-Xu. I hope people don't blame him for not telling A-Xu all the truth about his past, for WKX is basically just a traumatized boy. He needs time to digest everything and comes out of his shell.
Have I ever tell you that WKX looks good in literally everything he wears? That man is like a walking beauty ngl. And ZZS and his ethereal looks too. Youku, we’re really blessed🤧
Guys, for real now, I love ZZS, he is such a great character with many layers and anything but simple. But hands down - WKX is one of the most complex, twisted and interesting characters I've ever seen, his personality is like a kaleidoscope of bright and dark colors and I'm completely in awe of GJ's acting skill, portraying every of his facets in such a believable way. All actors are just awesome and just perfect fits to their roles, but a character like WKX, to deliver all the emotions and different parts of his personality, that's just amazing. All the respect to these talented actors and actresses for making this so real❤️
Yes WKX has a complex multi layered character, and ZZS (in the drama) also has many subtle mystery gestures ..both chemistry is like magic.. sparkles ❤️

I honestly find this particular part of the scene intense 42:17 or is it just me 😳 WKX is scary everytime he disagrees with what ZZS said and ZZS just staring at him, letting him be 😳 because part of it he understands WKX why he reacts that way.
Well, this is not the first time cause ever since the beginning, ZZS never judged him fully because he thought maybe there’s some reasons behind it (which he’s slowly trying to learn without forcing it, really love that 😭). But of course sometimes ZZS doesn’t tolerate it and they argue haha
Like a true couple! 😌 I've noticed this too, ZZS is very patient with WKX hiding his true identity. All this time, he's being waiting for WKX to open up to him naturally and not by force. This show should really consider retitling it 'Word of Patience' because now we have to wait until Monday for another episode update 😢😢😢
