This looks a bit like mine (SA-AK18). Thanks very much for putting this up as I've watched the mechanism through the vent in the side and it looks very cool. Sadly the CD player on mine skips even on perfectly new discs so I can't use it. I've tried cleaning the laser to no avail.
I recently took mine out from. Storage. I was hacked and they take my Bluetooth. I don't do much on the the smartphones but love my music, so I started playing the cd's, and it skipped. I took the tip off and cleaned the laser, and boy did the entire device. I needed a cleaning. I must have gone through 20+ q-tips. Hey, it works, and it was a simple process to fix.
I have Panasonic AK-AS300 model..is not getting powered ON..only red light near soft power button is getting ON..as a technical person I chked fuse inside and found OK..no any burne indication at all..all seems clean..kindly help me out please..thank you so much Sir.
Any idea how to get the tray initialized. Mine is about a centimeter from going back in. When I push the eject button it doesn't pull it back all the way. I have the same model.
Panasonic stereos from 90's and mid 2000's were just simply amazing. I can say they made the best quality systems ever.

I have the same stereo it would not read the disc so I carefully took it apart and cleaned the laser lens now it will not even move anything
