I absolutely hate hiccups and last year I started getting them all the time for literal hours. Sometimes I would even be woken up in the middle of the night with them. I started having panic attacks when they began because they would go on for so long I would be in physical pain, despite trying every "solution" in the books.
Then I came up with my own: breathe in until your lungs are full and do not stop for about 10 seconds. It is pretty uncomfortable and you can get a tad lightheaded, but by continuing to do those small little gasps to keep them inflated, you physically can't hiccup because you can't inhale anymore air - it breaks the cycle. You just exhale really slowly after that, I hope this helps anyone out there who gets hiccups!

Oddly enough, they think it had to do with my right inner ear and neck.
I am an pediatric, head/neck oncology patient and parts of my large tumor had partially infiltrated my inner ear and had spread to my right lymph nodes.

Not to excuse his attitude, but he probably does think his child is the most important thing in this world, which is why he does what he does, or at least he uses it to justify it. His child is four years old, but what kind of world is that child going to grow up in? One where human driven climate change causes famines, serious displacement of human life, mass extinctions, and all because those with the power right now make bad choices and inflict the consequences onto future generations who deserved none of them. He protests, because he doesn't want his son to grow up in a world where the natural beauty of the planet was destroyed, and life was made less tenable, just for the sake of a few people making a few extra bucks. He doesn't want his son to grow up, become a parent themselves someday, and watch the Earth slip into decline, whilst those with the executive authority and the ability to change trajectory did nothing. Thus he goes to these protests, partly because he wants change for the future, but maybe also because, when his son grows up and realises how bad everything is, he can be at least be seen to have tried to do something, absolve himself of some of the guilt, knowing that he at least took a stand to make it clear he wasn't tacitly endorsing the collapse of the natural environment.
You can perceive it as noble or as selfish, that he loses the days he has now for the sake of his son having a future, or he does it to at least be seen as having done something when his son and his peers inevitable come to judge him.

That is very much not how it works. Just like there is no one "cancer," but 200ish varieties of cancer, there is no one such thing as "Chemo" - House literally couldn't prescribe just "Chemo" because that's a class of treatment, not a specific treatment. Doctors very much need to know the exact cancer being treated because that tells you what type of chemo is needed.
Giving some rando chemo to a patient that doesn't even have a diagnosis would be so dangerous and irresponsible, it'd likely actually likely go beyond malpractice and start to get into criminal negligence/"felony assault" territory.

Reminds me of the time I accidentally OD’d on painkillers. Not saying that happened to you of course, vertigo can be caused by tons of circumstances. For me it was so frightening, I remember scrambling to get my phone to call my mom (who is a doctor), and I was crying (bc of how scary it was) and told her what was happening and fortunately she didn’t panic and was able to tell me “Oh sweetie, you just took too much of your pain meds. Just sit still and skip the next dose or two and you’ll be fine.”
I’d been given pain meds as I’d had surgery to have my wisdom teeth removed, and my mom warned me that its much easier to ‘stay ahead of pain’ rather than try to combat it later. But I didn’t realize that after three days, that strategy might become too much, even though I was only taking the medication as prescribed. Never want to experience that again.

As he knew that his wife would be mad at him, he compromised and bought some roses. But coming home, he realized his wife was gone along with her things. So he tossed away the roses.
'Good for him' - Cause House finally found out what was wrong with him. He was sick because he was pricked by rose thorns. So they can start the treatment now and he will be saved.
'Bad for you' - This just proved the patient's argument that commercial flowers are indeed deadly for people due to pesticides. So he will be more stubborn from now on regarding his activism, which means the wife will never get to make him stop with any logic & their lives will never be 'normal'.

Or just people who have time sensitive jobs, like EMS workers/other emergency personnel.
Some environmentalists actually WASTE precious food on displays, like milk and eggs. They dump thousands of gallons, smash hundreds of eggs, in “protest” of dairy/egg industry, and yet that is nutritious food that could be of use to people.

Humankind will rise into the heavens and leave the earth behind.
Translated from my speculation, the rich and powerful will abandon this world, that they condemned with toxic waste and worse, exhausting all resources and all the people that are left behind who can't leave this world. The sick, the weak, the poor, and the broken that were used by the rich and powerful, only for these suits to make a few more bucks.
