The Miramichi's Atlantic Salmon Museum is a gift to fly fishing... as are the people who live there. Here's an old clip from Shorelines. You'll be missed, Ernie.
April, What a great story. It brought a tear to my eye as, I am sitting in my tying room with a picture of my grandpa on my wall behind me holding two steelhead, he caught on the Stillaguamish bask in the early 70's. He taught me how to fly fish, and I caught my first steelhead at 5 years old at Oso on the Stilly. What great memories of those who have passed on their knowledge and passion for fishing. Thank you for your story. Greg
April, you are an excellent interviewer. This is the best one I've seen or listened to. Your inner beauty is part of the reason you draw the best out of the people you are with. The beauty I see in this clip is Ernie's candidness and you asking appropriate questions from your heart. Rest in peace Ernie. Well done April.
I very much appreciate the beauty of your stories! I am 72 now and you and others help to keep my fire burning. The memories still remain.
These are all such awesome stories, April. Thanks for putting these out.
Beautiful April, very touching….reminded me of my own grandfather….thank you!
