Made last week by hand. Mixer not even necessary. It was deeeeelish. I put puff pastry circles in a muffin tin, used tinned sliced apples and covered with the frangipane. Took 10 minutes to make. Perfect. Thank you Mr Paul
I'm beginning to think, if we lived closer to you, we just might be giving up baking sir. But we don't sadly. Another simple fare to try. TYFS Mr Paul, Mark and Rosa
Hi to both of you and a very Happy Easter. I always think the simple recipes are the best (Less to go wrong for a start!!) Thanks for watching and do stay safe.
I made this tonight and I couldn't believe how easy and delicious it was!! Absolutely delightful, my partner immediately ate a second piece. Your videos are such a joy!
Fantastic Sarah, I so pleased to found my recipe easy to follow. Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment, I do appreciate that. For more of my recipes go to my website at : mr-pauls-pantry.com/
So quick and easy to make. Just taken out of the oven and smells divine. Cannot wait to tuck in. Would be nice with plums, cherries or apricots I think too. Thank you for this lovely recipe.
I never thought of a crumb crust. Great idea! Thank you for all your videos. I keep forgetting to take photos of the ones I've made, but so far, Madeira cake is my favorite and I've made it many times.
You obviously have access to beautiful free range eggs...I haven't seen egg yokes that colour since I kept chicken myself..BTW, that's one of my all time favourite desserts. Thank you for taking the time to share it...Happy Easter Mr Paul
For some reason I thought a frangipane was a flower. I came to see if there were any flowers in this tart... Love your channel, Mr Paul! Especially the crumpets, English muffins, and scones videos. I was wondering if you might do some more savoury type baked items! Or maybe even something like bread rolls. I've had great success making things like bagels, pretzels, pizzas, scones, and English muffins, but always end up with dense rolls and loaves. I haven't tried your white bread recipe yet but plan to soon! I love your way of teaching. It feels so personal without all the jumpcuts and I love how you always elaborate and give extra information about things. I checked out your website and WOW! all of those cakes you've made are just incredible! How do you even do that?!? Anyway, take care!
Hello Eevee, hank you so much for your comprehensive comment. It's nice to have you on board and don't forget, if you have any recipes, tips or suggestion for future video do please let me know either via email or my Facebook page. Now retired after owning bakeries in both the UK and here in Spain over the past 60 years I'm now happy to pass on any helpful information I can. You stay safe too . x
This recipe is a favourite of mine... mainly because the Mrs doesn’t like almonds or the spongeycake like consistency this results in. Sooooo. I make it as it’s more for me. Thick custard lathed on it. Definitely be making this shortly! Maybe even this Monday. Pat those dogs for me mate. Hope you’re good!
This looks a must make , so glad to come across it. I realized I have not being getting any alerts though I am subscribed, so I have unsubscribed myself and opted in again.Hope this works, I do love your recipes and don't want to miss any.
Looks delicious and I'm crazy about anything containing almonds. I'll be making this very soon. One question, do you have a recipe on line for custard?
Can you make a Peach cobbler, my daughter always asked for this when she was pregnant, but I have never really come across a really good recipe. Can you also show how you would make a curry as well? the ones where you use apple in? I wanted to use this recipe to make a Greggs pasty
Yes I can and it's already on my to-do-list. As for the curry, I' try to do that for you in the near future, however, when making things like the Greggs Pasty's you must be careful not to have the filling too wet otherwise it will bake out all over you baking sheet. Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment, I do appreciate that. For more of my recipes go to my website at : mr-pauls-pantry.com/
Mr Paul would you be able to show us a cooked cheese cake and how to flavour it. I am also interested in doing the base using graham crackers but I cant seem to buy them, are they easy to make. Thanks. The tart looks lovely by the way.
They are a wholemeal biscuit. I have a recipe for making them if you want to make the base yourself. Just mix all together in a bowl. Line your tin and bake for 10 mins Then carry on with Mr Pauls recipe. Digestives 4oz/100g wholewheat flour 4oz/100g medium oatmeal 2oz/50g soft brown or caster sugar 4oz/100g butter or margarine 1teaspoon baking powder or ½ teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda pinch of salt. 1-2 tablespoons milk

My favourite too.
Glad it was helpful!
A super recipe, very well explained. If that tart is only half as good as it looks, it will still be fantastic! 😋👍
Thanks Pete, been a bit out of sorts recently with the diabetes so had to give this a miss I'm afraid. Regards to you both, have a peaceful Easter.

Looks delicious..Paul can I use Amoreto liquor instead of almond essence?
NO sorry it will be too wet, almond extract is much more concentrated.
I usually just use an oven thermometer to regulate the temperature of the oven.
Yes, that's the safest way. Happy Easter

Where do you live Belinda?
@@MrPaulsPantry Mr Paul I live in Cheadle in the Midlands.
Do you find Frangipane made with other types of fruit?
Yes, you can use any fruit, if using canned fruit dry it off some on kitchen paper first.
I have no idea what a Digestive biscuit is. Is it Graham crackers?
Hi Nancy, I have no idea what a Graham Cracker is either.

Digestives

Similar to Graham crackers but different, we have them in the US but called something else.
