Nice bird! I have an 87 GTA 5.7 that I'm going to swap. But I'm going with a 6.0 and a T-56. I've owned the car for 25 years and bought it from the original owner with just under 20K miles on it and it's a garage queen! White with Tan interior and Gold 17×9" GTA wheels on it from Hawks Motor Sports. I've also spent thousands of dollars on the suspension upgrades from Texas Speed and it has Koni shocks and struts. It's fun to drive like it is but can't wait to do the swap on it! Definitely gonna hit the streets and hurt some serious feelings with it!

@@almostoemgarage8143 I'd put a set of 17×9 Gold GTA wheels on it from Hawks Motor Sports. I have a set on my 87 GTA and running BFG G-Force 275/40/17's on all four corners. Could fit a bigger tire on the rear but a 275 is the biggest size BFG makes in a 17". Will change the entire looks of your car, and they're made by the same manufacturer who made the original one's. I haven't LS swapped mine yet, but when I do it's getting a T-56 and a 9" Moser rear end. Car sounds Badass and can't wait to swap mine!!
The 305 isn't that bad. GM capped it up with a bad exhaust system, and intake system, and a low performance cam for torque. If you uncap it, give it a good set of heads, and cam it correctly with a 108/110LCA cam it can run right. Although the LS is a high hp replacement for it.
In this video it was on 6 sometimes 7 cylinders 🤣 stay "tuned" though, got round two of the LS and a TH400 going in soon here! Excited for a reliable transmission and (hopefully) fully functioning engine.
Glad to see you still got it and working at it brother!!! Definitely if youre running a cam get it tuned though most shops wont need to put it on the dyno and can get you a decent base map loaded in for cheap

You are correct! #8 never fired in these videos and #2 was missfiring. I have posted a few videos since. Got the new plugs and wires on and now I need to do some more driving/burn out videos. Just uploaded an idle clip. It's so obvious now in hindsight haha I thought it was because it wasn't tuned but I should have trusted the Holley tune a little more.
Depends on where you are but a clean stock base model in this condition can be $4-5k. I know a guy that bought one with only 40k miles on it for $8k and that was a totally bone stock 91 rs camaro (305tbi,700r4,2.73 open diff drum brake rear). They have been going up in price for sure.
Thanks! It's a true dual 3" odd the speed engineering headers to 2.5" all the way out. Just took it to a local shop and had them do it. Was a lot cheaper than the 4th gen full exhausts they sell.

The 305 5L was a dog. I blew a rod right thru the oil pan just trying to drive 150 kms/hr in my 87 IROC Zed. My plumbing van can go that fast lol.

Just the stock 700R4 with a trans go shift kit, 3200 stall converter, and a cooler
