    "I wanna see this live."
As someone who's been present at an Iron Maiden show where they played this you really do. Hearing 15,000 people sing along to this with total devotion and passion is like a religious experience.

I saw Iron Maiden live in 2010 when they were near Detroit, michigan. They played this song as a tribute to the late Ronnie James Dio. I've been to my fair share of concerts, but I have never, NEVER heard a roar quite as loud and heartfelt as I heard for that tribute. 🤘🤘

When it comes to metal, Maiden is the best there is. Sabbath founded it, Priest gave it a new energy, many others did it right (Dio solo, Metallica, Queensryche, Ozzy solo, etc.) but Maiden perfected it and continues to perfect it.

Every time they play this song live it has so much love and passion behind it, from Rock in Rio to En Vivo and especially The live chapter of the book of souls
Bruce gave an amazing speech before the song in 2016 on the book of souls that unfortunately got cut out of the music video, it was recorded a few days after the Orlando massacre
“The message we send is that, is that no matter how many people you try and kill... life, love, laughter and music will go on and go on and go on”

Preston, Preston, Preston. You have given me hope. I'm 40 this year and have dedicated 30 years listening to Maiden. They were my first love, my greatest love, my last love. I have seen them only 7 times and like you I missed their early years and it brings me the greatest pain to have missed those classics live. However you continue to hit it right with your synopsis. They have a signature, they have a hook and are stubbornly carving their own path and unfaltering in that journey. My dad who is in his 70's has joined me to see maiden twice and we both love them. I've got to say, the feelings, emotion and joy you're feeling is exactly what I felt as a 10 year old boy watching live after death for the first time. Heart beating fast, physically shaking and hairs on my neck stood on end, I knew, this was it. There's just nobody like them. Seeing you experience them for the first time on hallowed be thy name was a joy. You just GET it. I'd really like you to have a listen to "The thin line between love and hate" off the Brave new world album. Bruce's vocals on that song are insane. Also give "stranger in a strange land" off the album Somewhere in time. Neither of these are what the typical maiden fan would suggest but they are songs that have had a huge impact on me and my own playing style in my own band. Happy listening.

I saw them last summer and they played it live. And it is special especially how Bruce introduced the song; he said how the world leaders are fucked up for trying to divide us. And said that there's people who don't like people for their skin color, that they don't practice the right religion, don't like that who they marryor just don't like people for their face or what have you. That none of that matters to them - everyone is there to see an Iron Maiden show and none of those things matter to them; that everyone is welcome. Basically saying we're all blood brothers. I thought it was really amazing and everyone had phone lights/lighters whatever (mostly lighters where I was) But it was truly awesome. They're so good live and love what they do and the fans so much - you can really tell by the way they perform.

    This song always hits me
My oldest daughter's best friend was a huge Iron Maiden fan.
I got to take Steve, Spike (my daughter's husband but then boyfriend) daughter to see Iron Maiden's Somewhere back in time tour.
This was their first time performing in Vancouver in 25 years (I have seen them every time they have played here), and the first time that they saw Maiden live (my daughters first large venue concert)
    Absolute GREAT concert.
When they came back 2 years latter Steve didn't have the money for a ticket as he was between jobs, so we bought him one for his birthday.
Steve, Spike and another friend Tony were starting a band at the time.
Two weeks after the concert Steve and another friend Kaleb were killed in a car accident on Steve's 22nd birthday.
At their memorial service Tony played Steve's acoustic guitar while Spike sang this song.
We will be going to our third Iron Maiden concert since their deaths this summer, and I know at some point they will play a song that hits my daughter hard and she will cry.

This hits me hard, reminds me to my dad when he put it on his car when I was a child. Me and only him. Driving in the afternoons or at night. Haha... what a lovely memory.

All of these songs you do reactions to, I have heard every one of them and at least half of them are all time favorites that I played out already. But there's something about your reaction to them I feel like I'm listening to them all for the first time again and it's giving me a renewed perspective on these songs! Keep doing what you're doing because it's reinspiring me

Brave New World was released the year I graduated. Talk about an epic send off. The album as so many awesome tracks. This is also the first album released with Bruce Dickinson back on vocals and Adrian Smith back on guitar adding to their 3 lead line up. Yes, X Factory and Virtual 11 were still Maiden, but Brave New World...was like your best friend coming back home. It felt right.
