All you needed to do was put some 3m spacers between the body mount clips on bottom side of body and use longer 4-40 screws and it will give you a body lift
Great video! I have the same model and color, but I fitted all Treal brass components, including wheel spacers, and put a nice set of metal rims as well, and with tje spaces i still had to trim a bit, but I love the look
Traxxas goofed on this body. They should have known that the tires rub really bad it's almost unusable in certain situations. I would have rather it been a little off-scale to sort the rubbing rather than letting the consumer destroy the body having to remove the chrome when it could have been molded a bit better from the factory. That's the only thing that bugs me about my k10. The body is not cheap. You did a great job. Traxxas should send us all out some chrome strips to replace the one we have to remove to trim and give us a free shelf queen body, lol.
A little touching and rubbing always makes things a little more exciting😲. I might trim some more if future brass mods / camera compress suspension too much. As of now its better then the OEM tire rub.
@@hotmessrcs You are right indeed…l’ve trimmed mine quite a bt to clear 5.5’s, but am going down to a 5.4” Bogger, it’s like baby bears soup now, just right, lol
this is 100 times less of a pain if you just buy the right scissors. duratrax and traxxas and probabaly some othere brands make curven ones are way better for the job
WTF are you talking about? Sure if you just want to do a hack job. The dude was taking his time not to mess up a 180-dollar body! Sounds logical, unlike your useless comment.
Holy tire rub Batman

Looks good, I trim them all so there's absolutely no rub
WOW! Those are some "Mountain Meats" you put on that truck! :) I would like to see how they perform on the trail and some crawling!
*Great Job*
cool vid!! big like!! 👍 👍👍
Very nice👌😍
Yup tire rub is a big deal for me too … I got the ford 150 ranger and going to trim to get 0 rub …
Man can you post a video of it crawling? Those tires look sick on that!
Yes I posted one already, I will post more soon. I broke my camera filming a c10 ride so I had to get a new camera to film.
While you're putting larger tires on yours I'm putting smaller ones on mine. 😎👍
Someone need to creat a set of bushwacker fender flarea like you can get for a 1/1 squarebody
Great job but my guess is you're going to trim a lot more off still looks like it's going to rub cool though👌👍
Surprisingly nope
Where did you get the wheel and tire setup from?
Something tells me you’re gonna be trimming more…

A lot of work for a job that only requires scissors.

@@FarmerFpv you can do a good job with scissors too, take your rude ass somewhere else.

But I like cheap junk draw scissors ✂️
