Definitely worth the trip to keep them out of the landfill.
I will start doing this with my kids, it will be like a little job they have
Hell yeah. I was thinking about doing this and your video just confirmed it is actually a good idea. Hell I'm drinking them and recycling them through the city anyway, might as well just separate them and make a few bucks. Thanks!
Probably not worth the gas money. Cool tho!
I am waiting on the project called Ecoterra to come out cause with this project a person can get paid in cryptocurrency instead through RVMs.
Both my scrap yard and recycling center are 1 block away from me😂. I make so much money.
@@BlackMamba-gx4zl Very cool!
I scrap cans for that reason the scrap yard isn't that far away and I drive a Ford ranger with the 4.0 so $20 is pretty much a full tank of gas
@@charliemanis9193 Sounds good!
That t-shirt is so big I think you can make it a sail on a boat.
So I should start removing the cans from the recycle center and selling them? 😊
Some do, but that’s not too nice.
@@larrymartineau7507 they might not think so if their county & city charges taxes to remove the garbage, (which they all do). Where I live the property taxes statement has a section on there showing how much you are paying for that. Taxes are the biggest thievery ever created. js
That’s what I’m doing at work, they all get thrown into the same garbage can at the end of the day even though the inside can say it’s recycling. I’m gonna save up for a few months then sell them
I just recently started my aluminium cans recycling ♻️ in the business I collect loads every day on my first batch I made 26 pounds so now building for my second batch I will try to make double the amount this time
Used to do this back in the day, it was great for playing in the arcades.
hi, yes we used to go around to the houses being built in our development and look for returnable bottles. could easily find 3 or 5 dollars worth the workers would leave behind, take em to the grocery store for cash and then go play pacman and donkeykong :)
You had one trashcan of aluminum dollars and you got $21.75 for it? How many pounds did you have and what was the price per pound that they paid you? In Georgia, according to one website I looked at, prices for aluminum cans are $.47 per pound. If you had 30 pounds in that garbage can, which is probably a high estimate, it would come out to $14.10.
They seemed stoked to have ya lol
haha! yeah they were pretty unexcited and unenthusiastic :) i think they mostly deal with junk cars and sell them for parts, behind the building there are acres and acres of cars
😄
I laugh at that homie you zoomed in on. Showing love!
that was way more money than I was expecting
Great run!
gotta fill that truck bed with more trash cans full of crushed cans. I took in 200 pounds worth of cans last time and made $130. worth the time building up the cans.
I agree, 100%. Save about 200 pounds of aluminum cans and then negotiate the price. Ask them what they pay for the price for aluminum cans. Then ask them if they pay a higher price for 200 pounds. I bet many places will pay you a few cents more for 200 pounds. Call several recyclers and shop one against the next. It takes them just as long to process a 200lb order as it does for somebody that’s coming in with 25 pounds.
You got $.65 a pound, which is great! What state are you in? Currently, according to one of the websites I looked at, in Georgia, it’s only $.47 per pound. 11/08/22
It depends where you live and where you go. For what this guy just sold here I would’ve gotten like $30-35 here in my area. I live in compton, los angeles.
Just cans at the metal recycling place ?
@@_stu66__24 i go to martinez recycling center now. It’s in the city of Bell Gardens, off Gage. They pay really well.
@@_stu66__24 yeah just aluminum cans, glass bottles, plastic bottles, and a few other things but I just turn in the aluminum cans and plastic bottles.
Good deal! Wonder how much cardboard sells for? Amazon has delivered way too many times here. 😂
@@larrymartineau7507 our landfills don't. They have recycle boxes for everything. 😁
You should recycle in bellflower California 1.72 a pound on aluminum cans
But only 50 cans a day, right?
Awesome 👍✌️very interesting!!
Thanks 👍
Could you tell me how much they pay per pound please?
You would probably be better doing the 10 cents thing but I’m in Australia so it might be different but I don’t know 😅
He would have made $200 @ $0.10 a can, so Im sure he knows there's no deposits on cans where he is. But also you can't crush them for the deposit programs.
You needs a freight car load of crushed cans to make money. Wgen I did it aluminum was .60/lb and paid very little. But if you want to ger fresh air, clean up the environment and exercise pic them up and go for it.
how much money do all those cans add up to?
We get Ten cents per container even milk water bottles you name it our streets are clean of beverage containers I Make $40.00 per month easy off what I find not bad free beer and free Pizza.
bro i spent my life doing this and i never made as much money as he did
Where can i buy aluminium can scrap, if i want to resell them ?
That's a brand new tesla fender right there nice.)
I brought in 4 trash bags in and got 5 bucks. Decided it wasnt worth the time. Then we have tweakers roaming through our neighborhood going through our recycling. They take the cans from Washington state where there is no deposit to Oregon frauding those that did pay the deposit. So i decided i will make the effort to collect my cans and turn them in for 5 bucks.
Do you think I can make any money from used whipped cream Chargers that are made out of steel
Wow... That's a lot of cans... $21.75... Hmmmm..
I just took in 111 lbs of crushed aluminum cans. I got $44. I can tell you it's not worth my time spent. I just do it as kind of a hobby which is weird I guess.
I decided to motivate myself to work out so picking up cans if you are interested in walking
In England you don't get lot far the cans you save
In Ca. where they have a recycling value. The salvage people will only let you redeem 50 cans a day b/c the recycler has to witness that all the cans have a CRV valid in California. Ripoff to the redeemer and the recycler.
Had a job where we would take out trash from cubicles. I would empty out the cans and bottles after each cubicle and throw them into my recycling section of my cart. Every day I would have to large bags of cans that were $10 each. So after a week I had $100 worth of cans and bottles that I would recycle for cash. Made about $400 eatra every month when I had that job.
The free shirt is too big on you bro😂😂
That looks like $100 worth of cans in my deposit state.
Hi.I had some recycle,I want looking for location for sale that ,can you help me? Please I live in Jacksonville fl
You usually get only 1-1/2 to 2 cents a can. Not worth putting a lot of time into it. You are almost certainly making only a few bucks oer hour- way less than minimum wage.
You have to empty them, crush them and load and unload twice. I appreciate doing something for the environment, but I understand why people throw the cans away.
Every state needs can return and deposit
They still go in the trash,
This is dope I should try this
save them up and go once every few months
I want the 1:15 of my life back
If you don't pay for transportation it's worth it
oh..nice one ..subscribe you here .God bless
No way that's close to my house
How much did those cans weigh?
i dont remember, but keep in mind that all the cans were individually crushed flat, and theres the big trash can and two 5 gallon buckets filled.
He probably made more $$ with this video than the cans.
😅
Cost of a new tire ruined in the scrap yard is not worth it.
How much was it per pound?
I found a website that keeps up with scrap prices, and over the last year, aluminum cans brought from .41c to .48c per pound. It's not California but it's not bad.
Arguably one of the weirdest videos I've ever seen. Cool though!
I make that from one quinceañera
At the start of the video the cans looked like they were Photoshopped into the trashcan....but like really shitty early 2000s Photoshop
:DD
No customers past this point. We don't want you to see us screwing you
hi, i think its an insurance thing. they dont want customers wandering around and getting hurt, lots of big heavy metal things on shelves.
U should be paid for doing their advertisement. Repaint the shirt.
Bro you did that video without telling us how many lbs that was and at how much per pound. What gives man🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
You would make more recycling them at a bottle return
Not all states do that sadly, only ten of them
My friend you even didn’t add the simplest detail which is the cans weigh poor video
People always it's not worth the time to do it. I literally just collect cans from around the office and turn them into a recycling center that is right on my way home. I don't make a lot of money doing it, but I make money and it does not take very much time. Then I invest the proceeds into dividend paying growth stocks like appl or msft. That's where it's worth it in my opinion because it's not so much about how much you make at that moment. It's about how much will that money grow in the future.
You got ripped off they generally do that at recycling places. I could be wrong but that was far to much aluminum for 20
That should have been more than a 100 pounds crushed like that
With today’s gas prices it’s not worth it.
Well, you take them to a place that’s in your neighborhood, and you do it when you’re in the neighborhood of the recycler. You don’t make a special trip. If you don’t want to do that, fine, then put them in the recycling for your garbage collection service. Hopefully, they have one. Another option is to drop them off at a place that accepts recyclables and they then take them to the recycle center. There’s one within a half mile my house. It’s not that difficult. We need to start recycling everything possible. All plastic, all cardboard, all paper, and all types of metal should be recycled. Our government should make it illegal to throw those items in the trash. We’re running out of landfill space. It’s time for everybody to wake up. Japan does it, because they don’t have any landfill space. We can do it, as well. Then we don’t have to mine as much new metal ore to make new metal products.
I predict in about 100 years, they’ll be mining our landfills for metals, because of all the metal that was thrown out by today’s pitifully wasteful society.
lol what
Not worth the time, gas and effort.
